Age: 3
Milestones:
Challenges: we are going back to our preschool class for the first time since the hitting incident and I am dreading it, but I have to just face the music. Our current challenge is I am tired all the time and he isn’t.
Funny/cute stories: just very cuddly lately and wanting to be held which I can only do seated at this point, but I’m loving it. He’s getting so big now that he is hard to carry and just looks long.
How are you? Dealing with a lot of restless sleep and legs, but overall I’m in a happy place
Anything else?
QOTW: What song or artist do you like, but rarely admit to liking? Probably most country, I go through moods where I like it (Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, etc), but it’s embarrassing because the lyrics are often so cheesy

Age: 3 Milestones: Potty training continues to kill my soul. He has started story telling, which is hilarious. Challenges: Potty training. Funny/cute stories: He is introverted to the extreme. This week we had a Target checker who would.not.stop.talking, and DS2 was over it. He said, "okay, we talk later then, bye," and turned in the cart to face the other direction while she continued to scan our things. Then as we walked away (out of her hearing range) he whispered, "I deserve a cake pop." How are you? I'm having one of those "everything I do is wrong and I'm not a good SAHM" weeks. Nothing in particular, just feeling inadequate. I'm glad it's starting to feel like spring, I think that will help. Anything else? DS2 met the new horse this week, and she was a definite hit! She sniffed him then licked him, and he thought it was amazing. We didn't have time for him to ride, but hopefully we can get back to her again soon! QOTW: I will still sing along to all those cheesy singers that came out when I was in HS, like Ashlee Simpson.

Age: 2 3/4 Milestones: We're having a big cognitive growth spurt this week. The world is suddenly a lot bigger and therefore less secure. Challenges: See above. Funny/cute stories: She was storytelling this morning and I wrote it down for H. Nutkin was a squirrel and he said, "Oh Felix, you are so beautiful. Your tail is all long and flowing." Old Brown was up in his tree and you don't understand the other animals. Flopsy is Peter's sister and she doesn't like Peter. "Yes, that's right," says Mopsy. Be careful, Flopsy and Mopsy! That's one of the radishes, don't eat Benjamin's radishes and he'll be cross. How are you? Struggling a bit with feelings of inadequacy this week, like hawkward. Getting miserable about the state of my health. Anything else? Lots of tests and doctors' appointments coming up, so hopefully we'll get to the bottom of it soon. And hopefully it's treatable! QOTW: What song or artist do you like, but rarely admit to liking? I can't think of anyone. I tend to be evangelical about music I like (classical and folk, mostly). I'm not very good at current pop music.
