It's raining. Why is it raining? And cold. So we're singing the blues here! How are you?

O didn't nap very well yesterday but thankfully slept well. I tried to keep her up right longer before putting her down too. She slept 830-12ish,1230-3, 330-6. But DD1 woke up at midnight to pee, and wouldn't leave our bed, so mommy still didn't sleep well since she monopolized my side of the bed. I pumped 2oz off my right side that she nursed on this morning (since I'm block feeding, and frankly, she's not interested in a second side) so I'm hopeful I can get a good little stash going if I pump every morning (. I'm going to make an appt to get my hair cut next weekend. It's like a rats nest and getting long. All I do is put it back in a pony or messy bun. So. I will make a thread

sunfrogger i just cut my hair too and it’s been sooo much easier! It was only just past my shoulders before, but it’s curly so it was taking me forever to dry it and to refresh the curls in the morning so it was always going up in a pony. And now that it’s shorter it is so much easier to refresh in the morning. I wore it in a pony for the first time yesterday!

Today is my first day on my own since last Wednesday. H has been home because I get really sick again Wednesday morning and was diagnosed with flu A. I’m still not 100 % (still spike an occasional low fever but a lot better than the 104 I was running, and still have mouth sores from said high fever) but I’m feeling better. I’m still going to wear a mask around the baby today but I just hope I don’t over do it.

My left boob is about to burst. V had her 2 month shots yesterday and is really sleeping them off. She slept 7:30-1:30 then woke for a quick nursing session, back to sleep until 5:50 and is still sleeping now (almost 8:30). I've done laundry and I'm cooking our dinner for tonight right now.
We'll go out for a run after she wakes and eats and then pick up some stuff at the grocery store.
I have a friend stopping by so I can help her with BFing/pumping. She had her baby about a week ago and things aren't going well. I hope I can be of some assistance!

I asked ped his advice on letting her sleep on his stomach...he wouldn't really commit to fully saying yes or no (I didn't push it, I just let him tell me his thoughts) but basically his answer was he feels the other factors involved are super important. Like, is the baby on a flat, firm surface (crib) and alone? And did the mom smoke during pregnancy? And all sorts of things. For nighttime, we'll wait until she can roll but for naps, we'll keep putting her down on her belly if it works.

Morning!
Foggy here and supposed to snow more tomorrow. But looks like we actually start our spring melt after?! It really should be any time now lol! It’s hard to believe DS starts ball in less than 3 weeks at this point haha, there will definitely still be some snow on the ground.
I’ll have solo bedtime tonight eek! But it didn’t hit me until this morning, so I guess that’s a good thing and my whole little zoo is feeling more adjusted than the last time I did this (fingers crossed..I probably just jinxed myself haha)

Taking the boys to MyGym class and then meeting a friend and her 4 year old (who DS1 adores) at an indoor play place.
Then my friend is taking baby while I take DS1 to his follow-up with his surgeon. We will reassess his graft and try to formulate a better plan for his June 4 surgery and also plan for hyperbaric. I’m nervous but looking forward to a plan.

Good morning! I’m having a crap day. The baby woke up earlier than usual so I got out of the shower to a very upset little dude. Then yesterday the bus never came to bring G to school. I called the bus company this morning and said they were supposed to stop her bus service months ago and the school should have notified me. After calling people and going through hoops, nothing has been resolved yet so I don’t know if or when G is getting bus service again. The worst part is that her school just moved further away from us. So now I have to drive her and pick her up every day with the baby. This is very annoying. She only has a month left and now I have to go through this crap. The only person that really suffers in all of this is me because I have to bring the baby back and forth every day. Ugh. I hope everyone else has a good day.

marygracerich Ugh, I’m sorry. DD1’s daycare is only 7 minutes away, but when H is out of town (every week lately) and I have to interrupt the baby’s naps to load her up and drop off and pick up, it’s such a pain. Right now baby is sleeping on me and I’m having the age old debate: attempt to put her down so I can go be productive, but risk waking her, or just sit and enjoy the cuddling. Hmmmm.

Hey everyone! Last night was the night of one million paci pops. Then as I was getting ready for work in the dark, i knocked over a glass, which shattered everywhere. H helped me clean it up. That woke the baby, of course. So when I finally got him to sleep I had to put my makeup on in the dark to keep him from waking.
Also, baby started increasing the amount he eats by an ounce (he was drinking 3.5 oz, now he's drinking 4.5oz). So I have to pump longer at work, which is inconvenient.
Le sigh!

The last few evenings Faith has been darn near inconsolable for an hour or so, at almost 11 weeks I thought this would be gone by now (especially since she was never that fussy during the peak fussy weeks). She isn't hungry, clean diaper, nothing obviously causing her pain, etc. We just pass her back and forth and try to walk her, swing her, give her pacifier's, anything that might work. I hope this stops soon.
I feel like a zombie this morning because she was up more than usual last night. She played her typical game of nursing herself to sleep in 5 minutes and won't wake up to finish so I put her to bed and then she wakes up an hour later hungry again. Le sigh...

Ian goes through this sometime between 6pm and 7pm every night. Usually it’s only between 6:30 and 7 but sometimes longer. It’s his witching hour. He is very tired but fights sleep which causes him to be inconsolable. It’s the worst. G got over this around 4 1/2 months when we sleep trained her. I am hoping I won’t have to do that with him.

Cp from J'15 (sorry benandjerrys and jessijean) I'm really stressed about child care. So I've talked about our issues with the nanny agency before. Coordinating pick ups and fill ins when they can't assign the same temporary nanny is getting to be way too much stress so we have decided to pull them from preschool and put them in a full time daycare program. I found one that has openings and looks good and am going to go tour it today. My question/worry is that DD1 is going to be upset. She loves the kids in her class. She is very social though so I know she will be fine once she gets used to it but I'm trying to figure out how to ease the transition. The new daycare has a part time option so I could keep her in school and take her there in the afternoons for a few weeks. Or should I just rip off the bandaid and make the move all at once?

I would just rip the band aid off. It will suck, but she will make new friends and if she has special friends from the old school maybe schedule some play dates so they get to visit? I wouldn't want to play the "who is watching them today" game with the nanny agency or deal with multiple pick ups and drop offs with different locations.

We are home. I have done more than an hours worth of driving today. I made some calls and hopefully with any luck she will have a bus on Monday. I will just have to drive her for the rest of the week. Annoying but manageable.

I am just going to keep posting while I think of things and the kiddos are relaxing. My bff text me last night that she has tickets to see the Hollywood Vampires in PA at the end of May. She invited me to go. It would require my sister to babysit both kids for a few hours and MH to take the next day off work so I can stay overnight in PA but totally worth it. I am excited to go!

easternshoregirl for liability reason the doc won’t give you a straight answer. I think we starting putting DS1 on his belly around 5 months. His startle reflex was really bad and he would wake up as soon as we put him down. sarahh +1 to ripping off the bandaid

marygracerich sorry about the bus situation! Definitely annoying! sarahh I would probably just rip the band aid off too, but easier said than done. I hope you can make something work that best for everyone!

Good morning! It’s rainy here! L had a decent night and didn’t get up for the day until almost 8:30, M is still sleeping! I feel great! My plan for the day is to go to the mall and take some stuff back and let the big play at the play thingy inside for a while!

So on Friday I went and did a 2 hour GTT to follow up from my GD and make sure it was all clear.
I saw I missed a phone call from my doctors office before office hours this morning and my stomach dropped. Luckily they left a message and....I need to reschedule both my girls checkups next month. PHEW! So far so good anyway!

kbw take it as easy as possible. It took me close to 10 days do fully feel myself when i had the flu. was that with tamiflu? The lady at the walk in said 3-5 days and I’m thinking she was definitely just trying to be optimistic. The worst part is the horrible sore throat.

Oh no, I was past the tamiflu treatment window when I was diagnosed. If you had it you should feel better quicker. Tamiflu helped the first time I got it.
