Cp from J'15 (sorry benandjerrys and jessijean) I'm really stressed about child care. So I've talked about our issues with the nanny agency before. Coordinating pick ups and fill ins when they can't assign the same temporary nanny is getting to be way too much stress so we have decided to pull them from preschool and put them in a full time daycare program. I found one that has openings and looks good and am going to go tour it today. My question/worry is that DD1 is going to be upset. She loves the kids in her class. She is very social though so I know she will be fine once she gets used to it but I'm trying to figure out how to ease the transition. The new daycare has a part time option so I could keep her in school and take her there in the afternoons for a few weeks. Or should I just rip off the bandaid and make the move all at once? I would just rip the bandaid. Good luck!

was that with tamiflu? The lady at the walk in said 3-5 days and I’m thinking she was definitely just trying to be optimistic. The worst part is the horrible sore throat. Oh no, I was past the tamiflu treatment window when I was diagnosed. If you had it you should feel better quicker. Tamiflu helped the first time I got it. Did either of you have side effects from the tamiflu? When DD had the flu in January, I was prescribed tamiflu due to being pregnant. I didn’t have any side effects but heard about others that did

sarahh, I would do a slower adjustment I think. I'm sorry it's been so challenging for you! Hopefully this is the last transition for everyone!

sarahh I would rip the band aid. We had to play that game with child care last summer, and it was the worst keeping it straight. She'll make new friends, and I like a pp idea of playdates with anyone she really likes from her old school.

E was the WORST today. I won't bitch too much about my terrible 2 problems but everything has resulted in tears. Clothes shopping.. Tears. Cake pop? Tears. Rebounderz? Tears. Lunch and nap? Tears. TG she's sleeping.
O is also sleeping in the swing. I think the Mylicon helped. I think I said that.
The temp for Sat keeps going up and I am SO happy. I need warm sun.

hello ladies kbw hope you are feeling better soon! I think my feels are broken...how can I have baby fever when I have a baby?! Maybe it's because I am back to work but I just want to snuggle all the babies. But then on the weekend I can't help but think gah...can't wait to go back to work and not be responsible for this little life 24 hrs a day.

Couldn’t give the baby a bath tonight because I had to stay downstairs with G because her OT was here with her. I gave him a wipe down with warm washcloth. That’s going to have to do until the morning. His witching hour has begun. He is tired but fighting it so now he is screaming. Fun times.

Happy Tuesday! I went back to work yesterday and have been completely exhausted by the time I get to sit down that I usually just fall asleep. Both kids are in bed right now, so I’m about to head to the gym. I’ve been trying to be consistent about going a few times a week. I am determined to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight before summer.
Are anyone else’s LOs teething? DD2 has had an increase in drool and is completely attached to her paci, more so at night than during the day, which makes sense because I thought teething is worse at night, right? Or, is it too early to be teething? I feel like it’s too early. I can’t remember when DD1 started teething. I’ll have to go back to her baby book.

The last few evenings Faith has been darn near inconsolable for an hour or so, at almost 11 weeks I thought this would be gone by now (especially since she was never that fussy during the peak fussy weeks). She isn't hungry, clean diaper, nothing obviously causing her pain, etc. We just pass her back and forth and try to walk her, swing her, give her pacifier's, anything that might work. I hope this stops soon. I feel like a zombie this morning because she was up more than usual last night. She played her typical game of nursing herself to sleep in 5 minutes and won't wake up to finish so I put her to bed and then she wakes up an hour later hungry again. Le sigh... It’s possible that she may be over tired. I noticed DD2 would get super fussy and inconsolable just like you described. So, we started putting her to bed an hour earlier and she falls right asleep. I do the same for naps. Instead of waiting on queues that she’s sleepy, I put her down before those and naps/bedtime have gotten significantly better.

You guys talking about spring, it’s like a couple degrees above freezing today and DS ran outside, threw snow up in the air, and yelled “IT’S SUMMER!!!” It was probably the most Canadian thing I’ve ever heard him say. And then we went for an hour long walk because it really was the nicest day we’ve had all year and it felt amazing haha.
It’s been a long ass winter for us all 😂

+1. I’m really happy this is over!!!! I celebrated by finally detagging and washing Os 6mo clothes. She’s almost out of 3mo clothes, and is already in some of Es preloved and slightly shrunk/smaller sizes 6mo clothes. I did get to buy all new for 6mo since what we had was winter. But I didn’t want to detag if I couldn’t put her in them!

I just finished my last dose today and am still getting fevers and can’t swallow if I don’t stay on top of the ibuprofen/Tylenol. H thinks I need to go back to the drs but being viral I’m not sure there’s anything they can do.

This is possible, daytime naps run from 15 minute cat naps to 4 hour marathon naps. We've been working on her napping without being held and she is mostly over that need (yeah!). Since Saturday we have been trying to get her to sleep in her crib at night and while it hasn't gone horribly we have had a few rough nights. After we get this figured out we will start working on bedtime routines and getting her to sleep in her nursery earlier. Right now she sleeps downstairs in the PnP or swing until her midnight-ish feeding and then we take her upstairs when we go to bed.

Typically, it’s not a sore throat thing. I might check that out. Maybe jessijean can chime in. Either way, sorry you got it. Rough winter for your. Family. Hope your baby stays healthy.

As someone who managed to be blessed with strep throat 3 times in Sept through October after never being diagnosed with it before, I agree, might be worth checking out! kbw

kbw i know you can have a sore throat with the flu but that wasn't one of my symptoms. I'd call and see if a severe sore throat needs to get checked. Yes...a virus would need to run its course but you could also have strep like others have mentioned. If it's not somewhat improving tomorrow I'd call.

Majority of naps here still need to be in someone’s arms

Majority of naps here still need to be in someone’s arms I suspect I was the problem all along (not saying you are the problem). If I laid her down before she was asleep she would fall asleep on her own with the help of a paci most of the time. I just had to get up and put the paci back in after she spit it out. I would say it was a huge improvement in about 3 days. She will also lay there awake and content for awhile if she isn't crying when I lay her down. If I put her down anything less than content all bets are off.

It’s actually started to break through. Yesterday she was pretty fussy so I rubbed her gums where the tooth is and she calmed down and smiled. 😊
