Well now you all have me questioning if I want another PISA. I can't order mine until the baby comes but from what I remember of the extensive excel spreadsheet my insurance sent I have basically every option open to me. Did you try a website, like Aeroflow Breastpumps? They were listed on Spectra's website. I filled out my insurance information Monday night at about 9PM, got a shipping confirmation yesterday at about 6PM, and it'll be here tomorrow at some point.

Yeah. I ordered mine through Aeroflow about a month ago. They are really easy to work with and have all the options.

Thank you for the Aeroflow tip ! I have been going insane calling insurance ‘suppliers’ for days only to tell me after 30min+ wait each time that they don’t carry breast pumps ! You would think that in 2018 my insurance could have a better search option than ‘medical supplies’ but nooooope 😣

Aeroflow didn't have the s1 listed for me, not even as an upgrade, hmmm.

Yes, thanks for the Aeroflow rec! I always forget to call my insurance during the day.

Aeroflow literally handled everything. I filled out their “survey” and they contacted both my insurance & OB to verify. I was given a list that basically included every pump on their site, some for an up charge. The S2 was free. I don’t really pump on the go, so the bag bundles or S1 weren’t worth the up charge.

I didn’t know about Areoflow. Luckily I found an easy one through my insurance website to use but now curious what Aeroflow offers.

PSA: apparently some insurance carriers will cover replacement parts after 6 months

I ordered mine through a site that is fairly specific to my state. My insurance won't let them send it until my due date/I deliver so it's being shipped May 16.

Bumping to see if anyone has used the Ameda Finesse. It seems to be the best of my options in terms of the bundle and has good reviews, I’m just afraid that commit. (I have a PISA from last time that I liked okay that would stay at home as my backup).

My pump came in (yay?). I got it through SunMed since it was an in network provider and they let me upgrade to the Spectra S1 for a small upgrade fee. The other providers didn’t have many choices.
Ugh, not looking forward to revisiting bottles, and nipples and parts and the constant washing.

Anyone used the Lansinoh signature pro? It looks like my best option unless the 2 other providers I contacted this morning come through.

I am a bit reticent since I have so many bottles and parts for a medela from last time and it is not compatible.. i guess I can always pump and transfer in something else.

I had Medela parts last time and I still transferred every time I pumped to a storage bag so I could freeze. Or we would transfer to the bottles DD used which was Avent. So I dont think it's too horrible to transfer from your pumping bottles.

As I mentioned up thread, I can either go through a dme to get a pump, or they will reimburse up to $470. Since I would have to pay an upgrade fee to get the Spectra s1 if I go through a dme, but my insurance will cover it fully if I just buy it and submit a claim, I am going to do that.

Any suggestion for a bag for the Spectra S2? I'd prefer a backpack style. And something that doesn't break the bank.
