What sorts of grocery delivery services are available in your areas? We have Google Express (doesn't do perishables), Instant Cart, a regional chain grocery, and Amazon Fresh. I've tried mostly used Google Express, and wanted to see what others were using. I live in New England. Stop n shop uses Peapod and Wegmans has Instacart. My favorite local grocery store just does it's own delivery for 7 dollars flat which is totally worth it. I would be open to an order online and pick up curbside service though. There don't seem to be many of those by me. My mom lives in NJ and her local ShopRite does that.

I live in suburbia that still thinks it’s a rural town and we have: Amazon fresh, regional grocery chain, and instant cart. I’ve used all three but Amazon Fresh constantly lost my food in mail and the other two were $$$$ for delivery fees and tips. Plus the shoppers sucked at picking out produce. I usually use the Walmart Grocery app and do curbside pick up. It’s 100% free, they give you little samples/perks all the time, and the staff is sweet and FAST. I’m on my way in minutes. If you have this option, I’d give it a try.

calendula, sorry you both have thrush, but at least taking the Diflucan is less messy than using a vaginal treatment. Weekly review sounds like a good idea. With our first, that was the point where we went to pumping and formula. This time around, I tell myself that I will take a look at that time point and go from there.

I would love to order online for curbside pick up as well, except that isn't available in our city.
I find myself having to juggle which retailers on Google Express or Instant Cart charge higher than store prices. I can't stand the almost 25% price increase in some cases.

yianna I am so so glad she flipped!!!! As for me, DD turns two weeks old today and DH has his first day back at work. I'm sad to see him go but looking forward to some alone time with the baby. It will be harder in the afternoons when DS gets home from school. We are still having some minor issues with DS acting out and trolling for attention but it is getting better every day. DD is 2 ounces from her birth weight but gaining steadily. We do both have thrush, and Fun fun I have a vaginal yeast infection too. So I started diflucan yesterday and she has some Nystatin drops. I hope it works. BFing is going okay. I nurse throughout the day and give formula at night or when it's otherwise convenient. I'm pumping a bit too. I keep checking in weekly to see how I feel about it and if I want to stop. So far it's okay. Not hating it as much as I thought I might. Thrush is awful! You may need to do two diflucan doses to get rid of it completely - if you check kellymom there is an article about that!

I literally had a nightmare last night that we all got colds again. Please let us make it through these next two weeks germ free.

My biggest clue was that it was still so painful after two weeks, which didn't make sense because her latch was fine and I wasn't that chafed or cracked. I am already feeling better.

I think baby is going to take a wrap nap. She was not too happy getting put in but now she is sleeping soundly. Hopefully I can get one or two things done.

I had completely forgotten how much food I can put away when my stomach has room! Omg. I could eat everything in sight. Poor dh isn’t getting much even when I order double, he went out last night to get food 😆 We are going home shortly and I’m bracing myself for the chaos of the other kids. We go in tomorrow for a bilirubin check and we have newborn photos scheduled. Plus prek and dd2s first soccer lesson. It all kind of back to backs on each other so I guess we are all going along for everything. I’m sure I’ll regret it by the evening.

Re grocery delivery, I’ve never tried it. I love meal planning and grocery shopping, but I do have a coupon for $20 off my first instacart order from a nice organic food store near me. I think I’ll treat myself in the next few weeks and place an order and I may try hyvee pick up, especially in a few weeks when dh is traveling. I say go for it. It doesn’t need to be your regular thing, but for a few weeks? Yes please. Same with house cleaning, plenty of places will do a one time cleaning. My only problem with it is that the house does need to be picked up and my kids (and dh!) leave stuff everywhere so there’s work to be done before cleaning.

We used to do AmazonFresh but they stopped offering service to our area. That was a dark day.
We've tried delivery through peapod and Acme but it's $$$ and I haven't been thrilled with availability or quality.
I think Amazon is going to start a new service through whole foods so I'm basically holding out until then.
I would loooooove a cleaning service but my H would never go for it.

We have Amazon Fresh and several stores available through Instacart, but I’m still searching for a service that delivers from Trader Joe’s. I found what looks like a relatively new service (Envoy) that delivers TJs but it looks like you have to sign up for a monthly subscription? And the fees seem a little high - $12 plus 10% of the bill total.
I’ll keep poking around. The jacked up prices are what often get me.

I just filed our taxes online. Finally. So glad that is over. And I have 5 Amazon returns packaged up to send off. Those have only been sitting in the living room for a month.
DH woke up to me shushing DD and crying because I was upset she woke him up. He is working third shift and we are struggling and I feel all of the guilt that his sleep is suffering and he has to go to work. And I can't get anything done because I am so aware of the noise that we make. The house is a mess and I have so much I want to be accomplishing.
He took her and rocked her to sleep and she is in the crib now.
I still feel bad that he's up.

The only grocery delivery service I am aware of by me is Shipt. There may be others but I’ve never looked into it. I was a Shipt shopper for a month before I got pregnant last year.

nuggetrn I hear you on the guilt about my husband's sleep. He took the entire night shift last night because I was an emotional wreck yesterday. I got a full 8 hours and still feel exhausted today. He's putting in a full day of work on only a few broken hours 😣.

I swore to myself that after cake for breakfast I was going to be done eating poorly and start working out tomorrow.
But I didn't care for dinner and now I'm starving. We have nothing that sounds good and all I want is dessert.

Dang, I forgot how ravenous I was in the early weeks with DS1. I assume it’s mostly the BFing but also all the room in my stomach again. And naturally, all I want are allll the sweet things. I need to send DH out to stock up on some healthier, high-protein snacks 😬

We got through the newborn pictures this morning. I feel like the photographer and her assistant rushed through them quite a bit and it was kind of stressful. I hope after all of this, she got some good shots. She goes on vacation tomorrow, so no sneak peeks of the pics until she gets back sometime next week. My neighbor brought over a meal for us and met the baby. This is the first time ever anyone has ever brought me a meal after having a baby. So sweet of her! Besides my parents, she's the only one who has asked to stop by and hold/see him since he's been born.

I am living this life with you. 😵 A crying baby is so much more stressful when I'm worried he's gonna wake up DH. I have the pack-n-play set up on the basement so I take him down there some on the days DH is sleeping, but it is not ideal for sure.

We got The Greatest Showman yesterday and I really like it. I may have watched this movie three times in 24 hours. 😬

I literally just told DH we should finish the bedroom in our basement (basement is totally unfinished but we have a basic idea of how we would like to finish it someday). It would be nice if he could sleep down there and I could worry less about noise. I don't like feeling like I have to be confined to the nursery all the time. And yesterday I was out of the house from 9 til 430 and he raved about the wonderful sleep he got. I can't leave the house everyday 😞

I'm eating everything in sight these days also. Breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner, snack and a granola bar in the MOTN. I blame BF and having room in my stomach.

I'm currently sitting in the ER due to high blood pressure. I've been here for a while and my husband went home a while ago. I think I'm in for a long night.
I've had chest x-rays, blood tests, and an IV medication to lower my blood pressure. No results on any of the tests yet. The doctor said we'll weigh the pros and cons of a CT scan once we know a bit more, since I have some signs of a blood clot as well.
My blood pressure during my pregnancy was never much over 100/60 so I'm surprised to have developed a blood pressure issue now. It's a bit scary and I'm feeling lonely, so sorry for the dump of info. I hope I'll be able to go home soon.

I hope everything is okay mintyblueair! And I’m sorry you have to be there alone now. Fx your blood pressure calms down and they figure out what’s going on.
