Mulvaney is legitimately taddle tailing on his staff and how much they make and that CFPB has no transparency about how much his staff gets paid???

Since Mulvaney has been in his job for the past 9 months he has not filed any cases on behalf of the CFPB of his own. He is following up on his predecessor but has done NO NEW ENFORCEMENT.
Republicans are drilling into the fact that he doesn't have to be here to answer anyone's question.
Great way to get rid of the CFPB. Take power..... Do nothing.

Started watching the Mick Mulvanyie hearing. The Chairman clearly doesn't like the CFPB and its run by someone that wants it shut down. I don't trust a word he says and hate everything he does and I am pretty sure he lies constantly. But really why do consumers need to be protected? We all should be able to pay $1200 for epi pens and let corporations charge as much as they want for us to live. GG PDQ My H used to work at a regulatory agency and a whole slew of his colleagues jumped over to CFPB when it was founded bc, basically, holding corrupt mortgage lenders accountable was frustrating. Apparently life at the CFPB is worse. In short, we really really need a strong, funded, staffed CFPB. Because everyone is opportunistic and profit hungry. |

Still walking in Oklahoma. The main "union" here seems to be trying to sell teachers out and I think is making deals behind closed doors. Our emcee, who worked for the SDE, was hired by the OEA but after what they pulled today, he walked out. He's done. I had no idea it happened but my husband has known him a long time. He was so pissed at the OEA.
Many of the legislators have been very good at listening. A record number of candidates filed today. Filing goes through Friday. There is a ridiculous number of seats opening up this year.

I'm reading a historical fiction book that has a lot of (true) history and details about the Cuban missile crisis and I have been thinking about how 45 would have caused a nuclear winter had it been him and his Cabinet. Thank goodness for Kennedy and his advisors/Cabinet. |

Reading this story felt to me as if Trump gets angry and stomps around threatening to dismantle the government or engage in military conflict the same way I get mad, stomp around and threaten to throw away all of my kids' toys or never let them watch TV again. The difference being, of course, that my empty, hysterical threats don't affect alliances, human jobs and lives or like....the DOW. |

I am so jaded I guess but I have absolutely ZERO faith in Paul Ryan to do the right thing. He is out for himself. He's getting out while he can, saving himself, so he can run some day.
He was a complicit, spineless asshole even before Trump ran for President.
If he actually removed Nunes, I would legit be SHOCKED.
