sunfrogger1) don’t feel guilty about leaving the kids with YH. He’s a parent too and you’re allowed to leave! 4-6 hours is still shorter than an average work day, so it’s not too too long. 2) I would either pump in the limo or find a bathroom at the winery to pump in. It would be a pain in the ass to me to lug the electric pump with me and figure out logistics of where to plug it in and if it would even be able to be plugged it. So i would just bring the hand pump. I love that stupid thing. I’ve gotten so much use out of it. I have a ton of milk stashed already and have yet to break out the spectra!

I'm with amesie and I would probably just bring and hand pump. A bit more labor intensive but saves the pain of lugging a big heavy pump and parts and finding a plug.

sunfrogger I’d also do the hand pump. I was in a wedding when DD was 3mo and she was there (with my mom) but I couldn’t nurse her for about 6-8 hours (due to photos & the schedule of the wedding day) so I had my hand pump & just covered up & pumped while we all hung out before the ceremony. Super easy & less to drag around.

sunfrogger I'm following for suggestions. I have a bachelorette in early July and I'm on the fence about going at all. It's an overnight so I feel uncomfortable even though I would leave DD with H and baby J with my mom so I know everyone would be in good hands. I'd be gone for like 24 hrs I guess. I dunno. I might not go. I hadn't thought about pumping, that seems like a pain in the ass. Plus I would have to have enough of a stash to feel comfortable he'd be ok. I really wish the bride had said, "just bring him", but she didn't. And I don't want to ask. Hmph.

Hand pumps do not work for me, unfortunately, but great option for most!

I have two bachelorettes this August. So I’ll be leaving my kids for three nights each, two weekends in a row. It will be a little earlier than I planned to stop breastfeeding, but only by a couple weeks. I haven’t decided if I will spend the weekend pumping, but I’m not going to beat myself up about it.

I've never tried a hand pump. I've been a EPer for 15 months combined with these kiddos. Really weird that I haven't. I love my hands free bra so I'd likely bring electric pump wherever needed.

Other than eating a little more, my baby hasn’t changed her sleeping habits though and is up every 3/4 hours. I was hoping this one would have the opposite effect and she would start sleeping longer!

I only got sleep from 930 - 1130 tonight and maybe an hour from 130-230. Other than that all cat naps or awake.
O is really like grunty and noisy but it seems like more than the usual noises. How do I know if there's something bothering her in her sleep enough to make her act like that?
Plus she HAS to be over tired at this point so I am trying to encourage sleep wherever I can. I'm on the couch and she's on me. Not that I can do this all day, or even more than the next hour? Because I have to entertain the toddler.
I'm just tired and worried something else is going on despite her gaining like a fiend. She'll be 6w on Wed and she's closing in on 13lbs.

She just seems so uncomfortable during the night, and nothing seems to help. Mine is also gaining weight well, and is having more than enough wet diapers. She poops enough too, but it seems to be a struggle sometimes.

Its been a rough week here with DD. She started only eating half her bottles and then screaming at us. Adding in the fact that she was hardly sleeping, with her wake ups every 30-40 minutes even on an incline, we are now medicating her reflux. The drs wanted us to try all of the comfirt measures first, but with the refusing to eat adequate amounts of formula we are now going ahead with medicine. Fingers crossed the prevacid works well, and she can eat enough to continue growing and no more painful screaming. My DS1 had really terrible reflux and was on either Prevacid or Prilosec, I can’t remember. Either way, it was a step above Zantac. It made a huge difference. I’m going to talk to the pedi about making the switch for my DD. Hope you see improvement soon! Oh no, I hope she is doing better already! I know this my baby girl also doesn't want to eat once she is sick, I'm happy that this is not happening too often because especially then it is especially important. I'm not the biggest fan of medicine but sometimes you have to use it. Did the Prevacid worked? We already used it once and the results were very positive. It is so scary and painful for a mother too to see your baby scream and being in pain. I hope everything works out fine and she is eating more again! Sending you positive vibes! June

And I know they are supposed to be more active during the day a bit now but I can't get her to nap without me for anything during the day. I might go crazy.
