Good morning ladies! I’m drinking coffee. We have already had breakfast. MH has a dr appointment at 10:15. After that I am going to pick up my sister and go to the grocery store. No other plans for us. I hope everyone has a great day!

We are at the clinic because with think DS1 ear infection is back. They really need to offer frequent flier type points.

Truthfully there has been a horrible accident turned tragedy a couple hours from us and while I don’t know anyone directly affected, we are a small province and this has deeply hurt everyone here and across Canada. So I’m struggling with those feelings this morning and have been since yesterday when the news first broke. My stomach has been in knots and I’ve teared up a few times. It’s something that would affect any parent and quite frankly is incredibly TW and I always forget how to spoiler. Besides on a local and being a mom level, we also just joined the world of being hockey parents this year and the feelings of being connected that way are really hitting me hard. I don’t mean to vague post, but like I said it’s a very TW event involving teenagers. Any social media or google search using Saskatchewan right now would bring you to the story. My H and I are emotional talking about it with each other and it’s hard to share all my feelings with him and anyone local so I apologize but I’ve been using my online outlets to release feelings.

Ugh. On another note, we are having the lighting replaced in our mud room this morning which is very exciting to me because I’m an adult now and weird mundane things excite me, lol. It will be good to have what we have replaced with an updated lighting system!

tiffrobot I googled. What a tragedy. I imagine it hits you harder when it’s so close to home. Thoughts and prayers to those affected.

Its been a rough week here with DD. She started only eating half her bottles and then screaming at us. Adding in the fact that she was hardly sleeping, with her wake ups every 30-40 minutes even on an incline, we are now medicating her reflux. The drs wanted us to try all of the comfirt measures first, but with the refusing to eat adequate amounts of formula we are now going ahead with medicine. Fingers crossed the prevacid works well, and she can eat enough to continue growing and no more painful screaming.

Hi all!
O had a restless night. Again. I wish I knew why she was so restless. Mommy is tired.
We're having my aunt and cousin over today to meet O so my house is picked up for the first time in forever which is really nice. Both girls are napping and I'm trying to do a little bit of homework before they get here. I'm going to make chicken parm for dinner.
I found a pair of prepreg jeans that fit!!! With the hairband trick. But I'll take it, all of my mat pants are falling off of me! At least I have something I can wear when I'm leaving my house to not look like a total bum.

The toddler was up tantruming from around 4 to 8am. I’m dead on my feet today. At least the baby was pretty good and slept a lot so I wasn’t divided too much.
My BFF is coming to visit tomorrow to meet the baby. DH is going to take the kids so we can have lunch out.

Thanks all. The worldwide support that is coming in to this small community is amazing. Monetary and blood donations are becoming staggering. Social media does have the power to do amazing things. Not to mention the support and thanks the medical and emergency teams are getting.
My parents are coming over for supper tonight. I could tell by their messages this morning they were struggling too. H’s parents are now coming tomorrow to spend the night.

We had a typical night last night except she slept in her crib! I put her down around 11 and she woke up and fussed a few times while I was getting ready for bed, but she was asleep for midnight and slept until 5 and then woke up at 8. We nursed and slept in bed until about 9:30 and then got up for the day. She has had a pretty good day with a fair amount of awake time that was happy and a two really good naps. She is a little fussy right now but that is fairly typical.
In the last week or two she has really started to enjoy her play mat and tolerate, if not enjoy, the swing. She has even fallen asleep in in a few times! It is so nice to have options now that she likes so we can put her down to eat or do a few chores.

The NHL tributes, fundraisers, and pregame interviews have truly been amazing to watch. But one thing that also stuck out was when the Texas Rangers held a moment of silence before their game against the Jays. Obviously not hockey, and Toronto is nowhere near us, they did it just to honour their Canadian ties. Incredible. Oh wow and I just read the Red Sox did too.

Hi guys! I’m alive. It’s been a long & exhausting week. Both my babes are in bed & im watching survivor/folding laundry. DD decided she wants to do underwear for bed tonight. She’s been dry in the AM for months now but I haven’t been brave enough to ditch the pull-ups. But it’s also getting annoying when she comes in at 5am for me to help her take them off to go potty (she has no problem with underwear). Sooo we’re trhing it. I just got some nightlights for the bathroom & the hallway so she should be ok I think. 🤞🏼 tiffrobot I heard about the hockey team from another Canada mom on my old BMB. So sad I can’t imagine!

I shouldn’t complain because once we finally get her down for the night she usually sleeps 10+ hours. But girlfriend hasnt napped more than 25 minutes at a time since like 11am yesterday. And we keep trying to move bedtime up but she just doesn’t settle until 10pm no matter what. The rest of my kids are early risers (6am ish) so there is minimal non kiddo time. I’m not so much physically exhausted, but definitely mentally.

Man I really hope L will stay asleep when I put him down this time (4th time trying). He fights sleep so hard in the evenings. Me and h really need some time to make up from our argument earlier. I still need to put M down too, ugh. Someone remind me again in a few years when I get baby fever that my marriage will not survive another.

DS has been laying in bed pooping for about an hour & im not changing him until he gets really upset about it. I’m so tired. He hasn’t been sleeping well the last few nights— he’s been stuffy & restless, pretty much up every hour for some reason. I’m over itttt.

I bought concert tickets yesterday for DH and I for August! There is a Counting Crows/Live tour show not too far...they were favorites of ours back in the day. We may end up taking the baby but we'll leave the toddler home with g'parents for sure. Oh the reason I got them is because there was a Groupon and I got the tix for $14 each. We wanted to go see Juanes at a different venue but those tix are $100...not in the budget right now!
