So gets these episodes where he does this high pitched screaming in his sleep. Not only is it loud and terrifying, sometimes itβs hard to snap him out of it. He just had one and it always unnerves me. Yikes! Poor baby. And dang, poor you!

He just had one and it always unnerves me. DS1 used to do that, I would get him up and then realise he wasnβt even awake and me getting him up had woken him. Supposedly it was him βdecompressingβ from his day, I canβt remember whether it was our child health nurse that told us that or our sleep consultant but it totally made sense when she said that. We found it was more likely to happen if heβd been over stimulated that day.

Ha ha, I was so tired when I wrote that. I meant SO did that. It would be terrifying if it was one of the kids.

We had a good couple of nights and then not and he seems to be crying in his sleep and then last night he fussed and groaned all night. I wonder if itβs related to being overstimulated?

Baby slept from 9:30-nearly 3! She nursed for 10 and is already back asleep. Of course she was awake all frigging day, but no matter.

Iβm giving this kid a bath every night from now on. She always sleeps for 4ish hours afterwards. Itβs glorious.

After getting close to 3 hours stretches of sleep the previous couple of nights, we are back to waking up just around 2 hours. And he is being a very grunty.

Still lucky if I get 2.5 hour stretches. I slept last night from 9pm-11pm and 3am-5am. He didnβt want to sleep. DH tried to rock him for awhile but he just wants boob..

It was 8 million degrees in our house yesterday so I slept like crapπ© but at least O only woke once. This kid loves to be warm at all times!

Donβt kill me, but DD has gone 9 hours between feeds a few times and 4-5 hour stretches is the norm (overnight). Iβm actually sleeping better than before I had her. DS only started sleeping through the night well since she was born, I kid you not. Daytime is tricky but thatβs the trade off I guess.

DS2 sleeps for around three hours between feeds, stretches get shorter as the night goes on. I wish heβd do his longer stretch when I can sleep too. Tonight itβs been 7:00-11:00 (I went to bed at 9:00) then 11:30-2:00, Iβm feeding him now and I feel like a zombie.

I need your baby to give a class on that.

Tonight is my first night at my mom and dads house. I took the baby with me to care for my mom as she recovers from surgery (they're 5 hours from me).
DD has woken every hour since 9:30. She refuses to eat more then an ounce so then she wakes up hungry again every hour. I'm going to lose it. Wtf.

Yep - east coast! And yes, first wake up. I have to say Iβm super blessed with this baby.. once sheβs done she will sleep until almost 6.
It does take nearly an hour to nurse etc MOTN but thatβs mainly bc I have a lazy letdown.

calendula I hope you get some sleep! That's not cool. I'm at the ER. My nurse totally thinks it is just a period but I'm bleeding more than I did at any point post partum. Isoaked a pad in an hour. That is not my normal period. My H takes meds that make him sleepy and took them before we came so he is poor company

We came to a different hospital than the one we delivered at (this one is closer) and everyone keeps lecturing me on that. Maybe my stupid midwife should have mentioned that when I called!!

cornpop I don't remember if my first period after having DS was particularly bad. I seem to remember it being horrible though. Did they do bloodwork?

Hopefully it's just a period. I mean, I'll feel stupid, but I would prefer that than it being serious.

If anything you should feel smart for knowing the warning signs of post partum complications. I hope it's just your period and you can go home and rest.

I'm up and here. I'm awake not because my tiny baby is up, but because my 2 year old is. π In fact, my littlest one has been sleeping for 3+ hours bow and I was enjoying more than just an hour of sleep at a time when DD2 woke up. Ugh. Go to sleep child and stay asleep.
ETA: No sooner did I post this, the baby woke up.
