I'm proud that despite all the food talk today, I didn't snack or raid my boss's candy jar.

Aw man. I’m sorry imapenguin. That’s scary. I won’t tell you not to worry because as if, but I do hope all the worrying is for nothing. ETA: and all the odds are in your favour that it is. Big hugs. Same to you jaidit.

We are going to DC for the weekend with the baby. We planned this for spring break before it was calling for snow up there. I had a lot of outdoor activities in mind. What would be something fun indoors to do on Saturday if it really does snow?
Also I always love restaurant recommendations. I have a few places I mind but would love options. We will have a 10 month old with us.

Thinking of you @imapeguin
fWIW my friend had similar issues with her twins around 22/23 weeks. It worked out and the girls are 5 now (35weekers ) and bigger than my DS

H is at Pax for the next few days (today, tomorrow and Saturday at least, possibly Sunday). DD asked for Daniel Tiger for the first time in awhile so I put on Daniel gets angry, hoping watching it will help when she screams at us. Wishful thinking perhaps lol.

I'm sorry imapenguin, I'll hope for some good growth for those girls! I too have had a fucking day and would love a drink. Maybe someone here will take one for the team and drink for both of us 🤞

imapenguin I'm sorry you got some news to worry about. I know you can't help but worry, but try to keep in mind that growth scans are notoriously inaccurate.

I'm so sorry for the worry imapenguin. That sounds so stressful and I'll be crossing all my things for a good update in 4 weeks and also that you stay away from Google. Hugs.

I'll be in the Whale's Vagina next Mon through Weds for work and need restaurant recs. I will be staying in Gaslamp Quarter. thatgolfb you live there right? Yes! And I realized I never messaged tater, sorry! Searsucker is always recommended, although I have never been there. H says it is good, he goes there for work dinners sometimes. We don't go downtown too often so I don't have too many other dinner recs- I love the Melting Pot, but I know that exists elsewhere. Some other easily Uber-able places: C Level for happy hour, Cucina Urbana for dinner, Bali Hai for drinks/dinner (I got married there), The Prado in Balboa Park for dinner (where imapenguin and I went, one of my fave places). I have great breakfast recs, too, but it seems like you have limited time!

I have an hour left of work and I'm so mentally checked out. +1 We are leaving early tomorrow morning for a family wedding in SoCal. We are driving (kill me) because with all six of us going, we can’t afford to fly. This is H’s family so it is HUGE, and there will be lots of other kids there, which is awesome. We’re going to try to squeeze in a few skatepark visits for DS1 while down there, and an extra day to take the kids to UCLA to see our alma mater and visit with some college friends and their kids. We’re driving back Monday. So like, I’m excited but also dreading it. And I’m anxious to get home from work and start packing now, so I don’t have to rush around doing it in the morning (which is how H would do it if I left it all up to him).

@microwarm I am in SD fairly often for work traveling
In gaslamp I really like Rustic Root. We’ve gone often in this one group. It is pricey though so probably depends on what you’re allowed
For less expensive I like Sushi 2, gas lamp tavern, hub market for sandwiches and a Mexican place on E and like 4th. But my googling isn’t coming up with the name

My kids are on my last nerve and they're on each other's nerves too, and the rain just keeps coming down. I'm not taking them out in public in these moods. So we are cleaning and they are learning about baseboards. Namely, how to clean them. I lit candles and put on music to try and destress.
