I'm in a terrible mood. The toddler didn't go to bed till 10 and then the baby woke up at 12, 2, 4, 5 and 6:30. Our bedtime routine is a 1.5 hour shit show and I'm frustrated and over it.

I'm right there with you this morning flippinchica,. I was up a lot last night and am exhausted. Then DH and I had a fight this morning. I told him he needs to help out more at night and he took it as he never helps with anything. The issue with him helping at night is the one time I asked him to feed the baby a bottle she was fussy and he fell asleep with her on his chest. I've told him countless times to sit up and turn on the closet light so he's more awake. I feel like whenever I ask him to help I still need to be awake to make sure he's safe.

Ugh flippinchica, and sarahh. Nothing worse than that feeling of getting up for the day already feeling so exhausted.

We were up from 3-5. With an 18 min sleep fake out in there around 4:15. Babies!
Sounds like last night wasn’t great for a number of us...

My kid didn't get the memo I guess because last night was our best night ever. He slept from 9:30p-6:30a. No wakeups. I woke up to a puddle of milk all around me. Of course he didn't nap at all yesterday so that is why he can sleep all night. I'm so dreading the four month sleep regression, this kid has been a dream sleeper so far so naturally it will all go to hell then.

benandjerrys, maybe the 4 month regression will help us? I don't want to jinx it but can it really get much worse for us?

My cousin had her first child yesterday and he was pretty much the exact same stats as DD2. It feels so long ago that I had her even though it's only been 3 months.

N’s been on a bad stretch the last few nights of broken sleep, not long stretches but just lots of wake ups. 😴
DS is going to his first drop-off birthday party at a friend’s house this morning! I hope he has fun. This is a first for us!

I've been busy this morning! I'm making a butternut squash soup for our dinner in between cleaning out DS's toys and organizing our entry from the garage. I'm going to add some hooks/baskets for coats and shoes, hats, gloves, etc. Even though we have a coat closet at the front door, we mostly go in/out through garage. The area near the door enrages me b/c it is such a mess. I've also re-arranged the furniture in our den but I'm having a hard time getting it how I want it!

Faith slept all afternoon yesterday, as in 4 straight hours. She has been having some periods of crying that we just can't soothe except for walking her around. At 10 weeks it shouldn't be colic but who knows. The sleep yesterday afternoon played a part in a crappy night here too, she woke up screaming about an hour after we put her to bed, she broke out of her swaddle (again) so I nursed her back to sleep which only took her about 5 minutes. She was then up at 5 and 5:30 and around 6:30 where I made DH give her a bottle. She was wide awake so he brought her back to bed and I nursed her a little and we all fell asleep.
I wish I knew what is causing the crying, maybe a side effect of her 2 month shots last week?

My dad and stepmom were going to watch the kids tonight while DH and I had our first date night since the baby was born. They are still going to watch the kids but i wouldn't really call it a "date night" anymore. DH and I are going to look at new vehicles to replace my current vehicle.

I have to go to a grand opening of a bridal store tonight. There will be a ton of high end wedding vendors there so I feel like I don’t have a choice, but I HATE networking. And it’s an all white party! I hate having restrictions on what I can wear at the best of times, but all white at two months post partum? The worst! I’m squeezing my ass into a pair of white skinny jeans and wearing heels.
At least there will be champagne? And I’m going out for dinner beforehand.

I feel like eating EVERYTHING today. I'm running (read: participating in) a 5K this Saturday. Even though I won't be fast, I can't help but do a "mini-taper" so I'm not exercising today or tomorrow. But, I could walk with V to pick up DS at day care. Maybe 4 miles round trip? I probably should b/c I haven't been out of the house today but it is sunny. Cold, but sunny!

@yellow71 2 wks that’s impressive! cake liked for dinner and champagne. Boo to white. I feel like white does not look good on hardly anyone. Myself included. Both kids are napping AT THE SAME TIME. Even if it is short lived I consider it a win for today. Today is the first day I’ve let my DD1 (19 mo) have a pillow and blanket in her crib. I’ve been too nervous before this as well as thought it would distract her. She looks so comfy and big on the monitor.

We ran some errands this morning looking for Disney themed outfits. We leave in less than three weeks! I need to be picking up and taking a shower but tiny human is being needy.

The pants situation around here is not great. Maternity pants are falling off but regular pants don’t fit. I’ve been in leggings for a month and a half. I just want to wear jeans again!

Hi all. Went to visit MH at work with the girls today. So naps are all thrown off for Liv and I wasn't able to do any homework. Like many of you our night last night was bad. Up 6 times between 9-330 and I've been up since 330. Ughhhh. Thankfully DD1 went down easy even though her nap was so delayed.

I basically live in yoga pants. The ones from Target are 🙌🏻🙌🏻. But when I go out, mat pants. And they fall off. I don't really do out that often to get dressed so I don't feel like I need to buy new clothes just yet. But I'm also only 5w pp. So

My baby is so miserable. She’s barely slept since 6:30 am and she was so overtired she screamed and wouldn’t even nurse. The wrap is calming her now but I have so much to do and just want her separate from me and sleeping.
My H is getting his wisdom teeth out right now and I’m irrationally mad that he’s not at work but not home helping me with this angry baby.

My growth chart lady texted pictures of N’s completed chart today! I said “something greywash, snowflakes, pastels, create what you want with that info” and I love it!! It makes me so happy!

Amazing how sleep helps ones frame of mind. I got a 2 hour nap today and feel like a new person. I am counting down till I can sleep train this baby. Is that a FFTC?

So when my office mate retired I told the other one I wouldn't be surprised if they took my spot away since I technically am not supposed to have an office as part time faculty. When my grant ended and I went "temporarily" part time (4 years ago) the Dean told me to keep using it. Well I got to the office today and my name was taken off the door along with the retired coworker. I'm guessing the dept head will be contacting me soon? If so, I have so many files to clean out. Oy...
