H and I are in Chicago next week—my south TX self is looking at the weather and thinking I need some indoor things. We have meals mapped out already, but I need a few daytime activities that are inside. Ideas?

The Shedd Aquarium, Adler Planetarium and Field Museum are all in one area. The Field Museum is also lots of fun.

my favorite museum- by far- is Museum of Science and Industry. Also, I recommend going up to the Signature Lounge in the Hancock. The cost of a drink is about the price of going up to the observatory and instead you get to chill with a cocktail for the same view.

The Shops at North Bridge John Hancock Observatory > Sears Tower Observatory Signature Room I think there are a couple cool escape rooms nearby. Garrett’s popcorn +whatever to the aquarium

But my BIL built the Tesla coil, so I’m probably biased lol.

Museum of Contemporary Art, eat lunch at Marisol in the museum! Driehaus Museum (highly recommend guided tour) Latinicity or Revival Food Hall for lunch/snack

The architecture tours are pretty cool and I think they have an inside portion of the boat. If not that maybe a bus tour

I probably should have explained further. There is a bar that has axe throwing as a fun thing to do. I reallllly want to go. badaxethrowing.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI9Miuo8Kj2gIVmo3ICh2a3w3OEAAYASAAEgKI5_D_BwEOld school bowling where they have people setting up the pins. southportlanes.com/Second City Green Mill for live Jazz Kingston Mines for live Blues Tour of Frank Lloyd Wright's Robie House And while the boat tours do have indoor areas, you will miss out on a lot of what is being talked about. I always recommend those, but it's too damn cold right now. My friend did the axe throwing thing and loved it. I figure I need to find a babysitter... maybe taking a baby to an axe throwing wouldn’t be the best idea 🤷🏻♀️ +1 to second city! Always enjoy those shows

If I remember correctly they have a small “food court” on the second floor in the area set up to look like an old fashioned town. The only thing I’ve had to eat there is ice cream though, so probably not much help. Honestly, I’ve never had a meal there. We’ve always eaten before/after going.

The food there is just sandwiches, pizza, salads and things like that. It’s pretty good for a museum but I wouldn’t eat there if I didn’t have to!
