Hey guys. What shoes (and where) do you buy for your LO? Now that theyβre learning to walk should they get shoes? I figure if we start going out to the playground and places where he wants to βwalkβ around I should get him some shoes. Any suggestions??

Good question! M rips off anything I put on her feet. Would be great to get some suggestions for shoes that stay on!

I loved Robeez shoes for DS when he was crawling and learning to walk. Barefoot is best whenever possible for learning to walk. The soft soles of the robeez is enough to protect their feet without messing up learning to walk.
I don't think I said learning to walk enough.

Oh, and I'll add, the sizes are way off. I got E the 0-6 month size and they are still big on her. She has small feet, but just know to size down.

Ditto the Robeez (or similar shoes). After those I got DS some Stride Rites that have a thicker, but still really flexible, sole.

We used the stride rite soft motion for ds1-- I think that's probably the one pennylane mentioned. He didn't really use shoes much till over a year bc didn't walk till 13 months. I originally got something similar to robeez but ended up not liking how stiff the leather was.
