My husband is going to drive me insane. I feel like I have 3 babies this week. I feel bad because he can barely walk and all. But man he is a horrible patient. I told him I'm more tired this week than the week he was in Mexico. And it's not because I don't want to help him. But I'll be making my plate and ask if he's going to want avocado so I can take it out and put it by his plate. No. 30 min later while I finally sit down to play with baby, he's like can you get me the avocado? It's that kind of shit that's driving me bananas. Ok, vent over. This morning at drop off, I ran into a couple of mom's from L's classroom. I realized that they both know L's name and I have no clue what their kids name is. One of them was chit chatty and I asked how old her son was, and she's like he's in the 2 yo room with your son. Agghh. I need to look at the pictures in his room.

littlelion, I am sorry that yh is driving you nuts. How long is the recovery supposed to take? I have had similar issues with K's classmates. I completely mixed up kids once. There was a boy in her class called Tyler* a few months ago. Several months go by and I see Tyler and his mom out. I introduce my h and say to my h "this is tyler and his mom". A few days later I find out that Tyler* left the class a couple months ago and that this is a completely different kid named Zachary*. I felt like a complete and total moron. I apologized the next time I saw the mom but omfg it was super embarassing. *names have been changed

sheilathetank, Oh man, that is what I am afraid of doing. I know one girl but confuse her with another since they're both blonde, blue eyed and both still use a paci. It would help if I could tell the moms apart, I'm just bad with faces. My husband has a drs appt today. Hopefully by the end of the weekend he's able to walk again.

Thursday is over for us, but it was an exciting day. We signed a lease for a new place to live - wohoo! We move into the new place in mid-July, and fingers crossed we will be done with this bug infestation chapter for the rest of our lives. There are a lot of families in the building, so I am sure DS will be making lots of new friends. Can't wait to get settled and moved-in!

I thought the kid has just grown up a little and his face has changed slightly because he was no longer an infant. Nope! Totally different kid. Fx for good results at yh's dr's appointment!

I haven't even been off for a week yet and I keep forgetting which day of the week it is! It's going to drive me nuts until I go back to work.
DS slept in this morning without any early morning music parties, but I was wide awake by 6:15. There may be a second coffee in my future.

Mid-July--we're in a six-week summer session (technically five weeks plus a break week before the next quarter starts) at the college where I work and I let them lay me off for it this year because we only need a few people working right now. I have notes on all of the calendars in my house for the day I'm supposed to go back just in case I do completely lose track.

I found out that I have an interview for a job I applied for next week. I'm excited and terrified. I have a few days to prepare, which is great, but I'm still so nervous. Hopefully once I feel better prepared I'll feel a little less anxious.

I'm always really bad with names and faces. I don't mean to be, I just have a hard time remembering, especially if I'm meeting more than like 2 people at once. I feel so bad, we got new neighbors back in October, they are really nice and always talk to MH and I when we're outside. They know all of our names but MH and I have no idea what any of their names are. In our defense, they're a family of 7 and introduced everyone all at once, but I still feel like an ass.

We've had a pretty rough go of it the past few days. R has been coughing every night for probably two months, and though I brought it up with his pediatrician a couple of times, she didn't seem to be taking it very seriously, so I decided to seek a second opinion to make sure it wasn't something serious. As it turns out, after a chest x-ray, he's been diagnosed with something called reactive airway disease, which is basically pediatric asthma. He has to use a nebulizer twice a day now and I've been instructed to make an appointment with an allergist to determine if he has an allergic trigger.
I'm glad that the second doctor took my concerns more seriously and that he has been diagnosed and therefore can be treated, but I have lots of feels about the fact that he has a chronic condition, and that inherited the asthma from me. :/
So yeah, it's been a long week.

There was a poster on M16 PennyCandy who's son has RAD. I don't think she made it over. Maybe I can bat signal her if you would like. I'm so sorry for the rough week, but I'm glad you got a second opinion and found out what was going on. Now you can progress forward.

We braved the splash pad this morning. Surprisingly it wasn't too crazy. I bet that will change come next week. And I am pretty sure I would never try taking all three kidlets by myself.

So 99% of the time I work from home. I desk share at our local office (40 min. away) if I need to go in for something.
Today I had to go into our regional office (2.5 hours away) for a meeting. I'm basically now just hanging out until I can go to lunch with my friends who work in this office.

I can't wait for the weekend. It's going to be the first one in a while we don't have any commitments and the weather is supposed to be awesome. I'm hoping to set up the water table and let K go to town while i day drink on the patio.

It's my husbands side, and we have to drive 2+ hours and stand out in the heat chasing a toddler. Clearly, I'm real excited.

Drinks? But woof to 2+ hour drive each way.

Luckily DHs dad will be there to kind of help as well, but it always ends up me chasing him. No drinking for me.
