Hi all! So this check-in was dwindling over at TCF, but I know we've had some new folks intro over here, so I wanted to post over here to see who is interested. This is the check-in (theoretically weekly) for folks who are at the IUI or medicated TI stage (or are on break cycles before or between IUI/medicated cycles). So for those who are new to the board, tag me (daisy818) if you would like to be added to the check-in! If you want to be added, tell us: 1) What you're up to (TI/IUI and how many cycles you've done of each) and 2) Where you are in your cycle.
For those who I think are over here who were also on the TCF check-in, hi! amberr and orangehibiscus - how are you doing?

I don't have much to update - I'm CD6 on my last natural cycle before starting BCPs next month for IVF (eep!) So in other news, I will probably need to pass the check-in over to someone else at some point - anyone interested?

Hi daisy818! Thanks for tagging me. I'm still in my third cancelled TI cycle. I was all up for Provera, but I don't think the prescription was ever sent in. I never checked on it because work got super crazy. I'm still hoping to O soon. I've had a little bit of brown EWCM the last 2 days, and I have no idea what that's about. Hopefully I will O soon. nuggetrn Get thee in here! You're doing TI still I'm pretty sure. How are you doing? If you aren't ready to get involved in the check-in, that's fine! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You're so close to starting BCPs! So exciting daisy818! I would be interested in starting it sometimes, but if someone else wanted to do it full-time that would be fine with me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

As for the checkin. I would volunteer but we saw how horrible i was at the GKU IF check in. But I'll help and do the best I can if no one else wants too.
AFM: doing another natural cycle. July IUI. I have an appointment to discuss changes on the 23rd.

I think I will be here after my appointment with the RE on Thursday. I hope your appointment goes well. I recorded our consult on my phone (audio only) so I could listen but replay it if I forgot something to needed to research something he talked about. I ended up not needing it because he wrote notes and drew pictures but had it just in case.

I'll probably let this thread roll through this week and see who we have to do a real check-in next week. Hi! Sorry I disappeared. This week has been utterly insane. This was trigger for a TI cycle. Went very well, I got my progesterone drawn yesterday and it's a 31! At this point they want it to be above 10 so I ovulated and I'm doing beautifully. So, I do a trigger shot and then 5 days later I do another shot of HCG which acts as implantation support. So I didn't even bother testing the first trigger, because I knew I was going to do another one. And then I didn't test for 2 days because I don't really know why. But I tested this morning and it's positive, so I think I will continue to test it out. But we will see. I am scheduled for beta and a scan next Wednesday, so fingers crossed this one worked!

Had my RE appointment this morning. Doctor went over all our test results. Mine were all normal. DH's semen analysis came back on the lower end of normal for morphology.
But, the good news is we have our treatment plan.
He's going to start me on 5mg of letrozole. Baseline ultrasound CD2 or 3. Monitoring once we get further along the cycle and then once my follicles are ready, an Ovidrel trigger shot followed by IUI and progesterone. Now, if only I could ovulate, to get this show on the road!

I'm glad you guys have a plan in place moving forward. Fingers crossed your body cooperates and ovulates!

I think I finally O'd in my third cancelled TI cycle!! I got CH this morning If all goes according to plan, I will be able to do my SIS on July 3rd, which works out really well for work purposes. Of course, this assumes that I won't be pregnant, which is likely the case after 18 months of no pregnancy so far. If I can't do it on the third, then I don't think it can be done this cycle due to work schedule. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So, I had the Rx's sent to Costco. Two are covered by my insurance, the Ovidrel is not. It is almost $300. Does anyone have suggestions on where to find it for less?

I paid $100 per syringe at SMP Fertility and got a rebate to mail in. I forget right now for how much... 10% back maybe? Freedom Fertility is another name that I have heard a lot of here when people are ordering meds.

I just priced freedom.fertility and they quoted for $104 plus a mail in rebate of $10, I think. I've been using the good rx.com coupon and getting it for $149 at my local Walmart.

Its also so expensive because I need two doses. I needed 2 doses as well! I still got it for 100 dollars cheaper at SMP Fertility with free shipping. Total was 199 and some change and then the rebates. Are you doing a trigger shot to induce ovulation and then another one a few days later?

Does anyone have suggestions on where to find it for less? **grad warning** My insurance also initially denied my ovidrel rx; however, after pulling teeth, I found out all I needed was a pre auth from the RE for it. So the RE submitted the auth, then insurance added it to their formulary for coverage. I won't lie, it was still expensive. I think it was actually about the same cost with or without insurance (about $115 ish IIRC) BUT at least through ins the cost went to my deductible. So I would put a call in to your insurance just to see what's up. They may end up covering it, they may not. The insurance portion of IF is so difficult to navigate sometimes.

Do you have any other diagnoses besides borderline morph? I'm no help on the meds. My RE uses a local (to them) specialty pharmacy that is part of their big organization, and my Ovidrel was $86 for one. I hope you find a great deal on your meds! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Since my timing has been pretty spot on for most of the year of our trying, he figured we should just go for the big guns.
