jubilantsquirrel I am not politically articulate so here is copy and paste of a summary by dc2london "a few closing thoughts. 1. There's deeeeeeefinitely an obstruction of justice case being looked at by Mueller and the good news is that he gives no fucks what republicans think about the implications of the word "hope." 2. Comey fired several shots across the bow of Sessions. Sessions is cooked. 3. There's clearly more dirt on VEB and it's highly classified. This is bad for Kush. 4. The republicans tried to impeach Comey's integrity and they failed. 5. Patriotic leakers gonna leak. Read more: aplacetomeet.freeforums.net/thread/1399/james-comey-testifies-june-10?page=30#ixzz4jR3OX6xi" Also, McCain sounded like a blubbering fool that made no sense whatsoever. Thanks! I just finished wading through all the pre-show chatter in that thread. It'll probably take me the rest of the day to finish it because I'm the world's slowest reader. Also, the bolded is like, the least surprising thing I've ever read. That man is incapable of putting his money where is mouth is.

So in addition to being exhausted I have a headache and feel kinda pukey. If I didn't know for sure that immaculate conception wasn't a real thing, I'd be wondering if this isn't suspiciously like first tri symptoms. I wish I could take a nap! It's called being a working mom on little to no sleep. I've been like this the past month. It sucks but, you do what you've got to do to get through the day. Hopefully she'll sleep better for you tonight.

Cheesecake Factory was good. B and I split Key Lime cheesecake for dessert (my H is one of the alien creatures who doesn't care for cheesecake...weirdo). So, so yummy.
It was such a nice outing; kids were great and an older lady next to us complemented us on how "precious and well-behaved" they were. I saw the fear in her eyes when they were seated next to us, lol, so I'm glad she caught us on a good day.

Not that I'm keeping track but didn't you bang recently? Remember ? You and H had a talk? Omg I sound creepy. LMAO! You're not creepy. And we kinda sorta did but not really and I am not concerned. Plus I'm feeling way better now that I ate and had a huge, sugary coffee

Why is the day before you take a long weekend/go on vacation always the busiest? And of course the last hour is when everyone needs everything rightthisminute. What a day. But I'm home now and ready to enjoy my 3 day weekend!

sophiegrace Dh and I have talked seriously about getting goats and chickens if we ever have land. But I was reading about them on our drive and they don't trim up the lawn? They eat bushes and weeds, though. Sheep graze. So I told him we need both...if he insists on goats. And only neutered males because females in heat screaming, no thanks. Glad everything went well goldenlove! flamingo I love Cheesecake Factory! I still have a $25 gift card to there from my birthday. Mmm...cheesecake. dashook Sorry you had such a rough night on top of the work stress. jubilantsquirrel Obviously lunch is over, but your menu today got me craving Indian. I love it! Also, broccoli is delicious. tallb My girls are usually color coordinated (not with each other though..I'm not insane), but Lillian always has food on her clothes and often face and her hair is a mess since she won't let me style it. Oh well. She's a free spirit!

N does have cute outfits, but I seem to hoard them for the weekend so I can enjoy her in all their cuteness. We don't do laundry that often, so if I can get away with random onesies and pants through daycare for the week, I do. She's always suddenly growing like a week so it's a crapshoot of what actually fits now.

MH just texted me pics of his sushi and said the piano guy there was playing Philip Glass all night. I've been craving sushi since Hayden was born & that's one of my favorite composers.
WTF dude. I'm on "vacation" with a whiny 3 year old and a sick 7 month old. I'm so tired and he's having so much fun by himself. I'm irrationally pissed.
Someone send him dick glitter. But I'll give you his work address because I don't want to clean that shit up when I get home.

danib, I hear ya girl! I'm glad everything is okay. I watch the international news on my tablet when DH is going to and from work and when I haven't heard from him. tgrimes, I'm glad to hear H is getting better! sophiegrace, I'm YH! I'm constantly wanting a new animal. Do we need a teeth thread? For pictures... that is! dashook, could this be a ploy by the other guy? Or would you have to be in chambers if he were pushing it back? flamingo, they have non-cheesecake desserts too! starbuck, could be one of The Witches like in Roald Dahl's book! jubilantsquirrel, I think you should host an N16 get together just so we can do a food truck week! goldenlove, glad to see everything went well! So the appointment for a weight check is tomorrow morning, I'm now paranoid they think I'm crazy. He recently decided he doesn't like bottles, formula, or breast milk in bottles... he was fine with bottles last month? L is trying to eat my food! He grabbed my fork with a Brussels sprout on it so it didn't go far but so far he only like graham crackers!?! I can't feed him graham crackers forever. My neighbor is of the mindset they don't know how to swallow so you just force it back in there... that seems wrong to me! He keeps what he likes, and spits out what he doesn't so he obviously can swallow if he's eating graham crackers. I am just going to go crazy until he starts eating consistently. Ummmm, you're instinct is right Cheshie6. Do not force food back there! They don't need to ingest food all the time right now. Remember, food before one is just for fun. It takes some babies a long time to figure out food. And that's ok! Let L take his time!

Remember also, it can take 15 times for a baby to be exposed to a food before they decide they like it. So he will most likely enjoy other food, just keep offering and don't get discouraged if he tries it once and doesn't like it. Have you tried the gerber puffs? What about mashed avocado? That would be a good choice for him because it's a good fat! You can mash it and mix it with breast milk if needed.

Cheshie6 I will plus whatever to the Gerber puffs ! Mine love food but still haven't mastered getting it back there, the puffs are perfect bc they start to dissolve if they don't move it fast enough. AV has improved significantly practicing with these. I try real small pieces of food once per week, that's it. Otherwise it's purees, mesh food feeder, and puffs. I'm not in a rush to force them real food, for now just trying to get some practice in and expose them to flavors. editpurees not purses

Yes to all the above Cheshie6. I was super stressed about food not long ago too. Just keep trying. Try different textures and different methods. I discovered H is more agreeable to eat if I put something he really wants on his tray (like puffs). He will take his time self-feeding those and let me give him bites of his meal in between.

Thanks ladies! I'll add those to my food list. I sent DH for the Gerber puffs and he never got them because he didn't see they said melt.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk The puffs are also good practice for using a pincer grasp...he might enjoy eating more if he can do it himself. C seems to be this way, whereas B didn't care who/how it was delivered as long as long as there was plenty of it.

D also loves teething wafers Cheshie6 . Not as good as the puffs for pincer grasp but she loves being able to feed herself and they're a great distraction for her while I'm trying to get some dinner in DS. These are her fave:

dashook I've seen those, do they melt down at all? Yes! And turn into a goopy sticky mess once they're damp, but I also highly recommend them. This flavor is the best IMO because it doesn't stain clothes. The beet flavor made my child look like a zombie.

goldenlove what a relief to have C home and happy! Glad it went well! danib I start freaking out when H comes home late from a night out! I don't envy your position. Glad it was something benign. tallb my kid is also the hodgepodge one. Especially bc I try to use some hand me downs from DS, but it's usually obvious it's boy clothing. Meh, don't care that much to change though. sophiegrace is it taking so long to get back down because you are using the sleep consultants recommendations? Or have you tossed those aside already? Up until last night I was following the plan to a T. Putting down awake, and only feeding her if it's been 4+ hours. It's been about a month? The initial put down goes great now. And that was my biggest issue because it was taking hours. But the rest of the night has gone to complete hell. So much crying. For so many hours. And then she's been waking up for the day miserable and upset and not willing to nap. I'm weak and just so tired so I picked her up last night every time she started whining. Our hourly wake ups went to every three hours. I'm fine with that, but at a loss. She's 7.5 months and I think I need to just accept that her will is ironclad.

It takes every ounce of strength I have to keep her away from open beer bottles and cans within her eyesight. Full on flings herself towards them. I'm so screwed.

This is a really tough time for them, crawling and the seperation anxiety is terrible. If you go to her can you try just patting her bum, and almost laying one arm across her back/tummy so she feels you, fo say 5 minutes and then leave? I've started doing this with J because her only calm method to date is nursing and although i dont mind a couple wake ups anything before midnight is just emotions and not hunger. Hang in there, you're doing awesome
