It's snowing...WTF
Apparently 6-12" forecasted means we get absolutely nothing, but less than 1" has us at 3-4" and it's still coming down.
In better news, and I already mentioned this in the Weekly Check-in but I'm too excited not to put it here too...HARMONY CAME BACK OK!!!!! Back to super low risk for the trisonomies!!! So happy!!!!!!!!!

Ugh, I hear you. Winter needs to be OVER.
I know I’m just repeating myself, but so happy that the harmony came back quickly and with super reassuring results!

Yay NymeriaThis week is spring break but I'll still be watching my bonus kids a few days. I'm super busy trying to clean up and make things presentable for Thursday. I try to host a Moms and Mimosas get together 4 times a year for each season. This is our spring edition. Basically everyone comes and let's their kids have fun while we have momosas and yummy food. It's supposed to be great weather so the kids can run around outside and play in the fairy garden area. I try to invite a few new people that I meet each time. SO has been in Cali for two weeks so it sucks doing it all alone. But I'm super stoked about having everyone over. Too bad mine will be a seltzer mimosa...

pixiepink24 that sounds like a fun get together I may have missed it, but are your "bonus kids" kids you baby sit or your SO's kids from a previous relationship? (I've heard the term for both) Today is my last day off work, and I don't want to go back! My in-laws were getting rid of bunk beds and so we get them. DS is still young for the top bunk, but they'll be great in a few years. We got one of the beds a few months ago and the top bunk is getting dropped off today. Other than that, we'll have a fairly quiet day, do our egg hunt and lounge at home as we're all sick with colds

I just checked our forecast for tomorrow...7-9 inches of snow?!?! C'MON! And I have a packed schedule tomorrow...and a 45 minute commute on country roads. Should probably start making rescheduling calls right about now.

flutterfly88Thanks! We do have a lot of fun at these! My "bonus kids" are two kids I nanny. I have a nanny share at my home with my own daughter (turning 3 in July) and a 3.5 year old girl, and an almost 6 month old boy. It's a handful but allows me to stay at home, get things done, and have fun with my daughter all week, with a little bit of compensation too.

DD had her 18 month appointment this morning and just had one shot but cried for over an hour and refused to put any weight on the leg her shot was in. I was a little concerned, but now she is fine and being her usual "climb on everything" self. Maybe the shot hit a nerve or something?

Ugh, my toddler will not stop pushing on my stomach. I keep trying to explain to him that he can't do that because it hurts, but he just doesn't get it.

Once the snow stopped it got sunny and hit 40*. The 4" of snow we had on the ground at 1pm is completely gone already. I'll take it!

You guys and this snow!! It got up to 81 degrees today. But the pollen is insane. Literally can taste it and covers you when you step outside.

Im excited because last night I ended up booking a hotel for this weekend for us to get away in the mountains. The weather will be rainy but luckily has an indoor pool. It's money I didn't really need to spend, but I really think we need to get away for a minute and maybe SO can meet us there.
Also, I ordered a shirt for DD that says "Big Sisters Rock" for when we tell her an announce publicly. It's finally feeling real and I'm starting to calm my nerves and realize that it's looking good. I need to worry less.

Yes!!! Baby Cache has an announcement on their website that products are now available to order directly through them and that they're working to get set up with other retailers. I wanted to get the same crib for this LO as we have for DS and I was worried that wasn't going to be possible since they were previously exclusive to BRU. Now it will be!!

I'm not sure I know what Baby Cache is. Since most of us all have kids close to the same age, are you all getting a new crib or what is your plan? We had a mini crib for DD and I sold it. She's now on a twin mattress on the floor. I think I'm going to get a used crib that will switch to toddler bed and if possible, twin bed too.

I found DS's crib in person at a BRU and I love it so I was planning to just get another one of the exact same thing. Nothing special about it really, I just like it. And I'm really picky so the thought of not having to start a new search is very exciting to me! As of right now I am planning to start with 2 cribs. We have the toddler rail for DS's crib so once he starts trying to escape we can basically turn the crib into a toddler bed, but since he'll only be 2 when #2 arrives I'd like to keep him contained as long as possible.

pixiepink24 We had to move DS out of his crib months ago (figured out how to climb out!) so this baby will get to use that one. Although one of the top rails split, so my FIL is going to try and fix it for us (should be easy enough and is mostly a cosmetic issue). We're probably going to wait to set the crib up until we're ready for baby to not be in our room, since DS & baby will have to share a room.

I plan to get another convertible crib. DS is still in the crib for now and after that we'll just convert it to the toddler bed until he outgrows it. He has a matching crib and dresser so I'd like those to stay together! I'm picky and like furniture to match, so #2 will get his/her own bedroom furniture.

I’m going to play it by ear. I plan on keeping the new baby in a basinnette in our room for the first 5 months or so, so that should give us time to move DD from her crib to her big girl bed. If she’s not ready to leave her crib at that point it’ll be no big deal, we’ll just get another ikea crib, they have options less than $100.

We're planning on keeping DD in her crib until she leaves for college 😋 (she climbs literally everything besides out of her crib and we hope it stays that way)so we will probably look for another crib. We bought hers used for 50 bucks so hoping to find another one for pretty cheap.

L's been out of her crib and on a twin mattress on the floor for a while, although she really barely used her crib anyway. She mostly slept in a bassinette in our room/we coslept until I could get her sleeping on her own. I don't know if we'll even really try to use the crib this time or just do the same as we did for L.

My current project is a full size blanket for L, it's what's in my avatar. I told H that as soon as I finish hers I should start working on the next one.

No no furniture for this babcoskeep or use the pack and play bassinet.
My 2 and 4 year olds share a room and each have a twin bed.
Also we found out it's a girl. She was very active and had a strong heartbeat.
