Facebook has me labeled as “very conservative”. Lol wut. It has to be due to family members that are on my friends list. Definitely how I had you pegged 😉

Facebook has me as moderate. I’m not sure why. This is quite interesting.

There are reports there are 4-5 victims and it is believed they are likely to survive. One female is dead of self inflicted wounds and she is believed to be the shooter.
This is pretty close to me and I was notified by my work because our command center is activated.

TW
CNN/Twitter reporting YouTube shooting incident is contained. Shooter was female, reportedly dead (possibly self inflicted but still under investigation.) Tapper says 4 injured and one dead according to police chief.

Clearly Fox has been taken over by pod people:
Fox was only network invited to EPA briefing, but told other networks and got a pool together.

I’m pretty sure 3 victims (not including the shooter), one in critical condition. My hospital didn’t end up getting any patients. I hope they all survive. This is horrible.

I am really feeling for these Oklahoma teachers. Most of them working more than 2 or 3 jobs to get by. The damn Army vet PE teacher is getting $1000 a month! A MONTH! I live in New England where everything is priced stupid high and I can't imagine living on 12K a year! It just isn't sustainable. Oklahoma teachers will fight 'until hell freezes over' if needed

I'm watching Newshour and I have an UO. I'm really tired of hearing about Roseanne.
The ratings are likely a reflection of nostalgia. ABC hasn't cracked the code of appealing to Deplorables. I'm really fatigued of hearing about how I need to understand the Hillbilly Elegy crowd but they aren't expected to, IDK, acknowledge trans Americans as deserving of equal rights?
ENOUGH. WE GET IT. ECONOMIC ANXIETY, ET CETERA.

Those of you outside DC probably didn't have this on your radar, but DHS (and watchdogs) have been finding Stingray devices all over the area for years (one was found about a mile from my house). Ron Wyden became alarmed about this and demanded answers, and has now released the documents from Homeland security saying that they don't know how many there are, how to find them, or who is controlling them. So that's fine. Anyone anywhere in the Metro area could be having their cell tracked and tapped and nobody knows how to stop it.

I just think the media are trying to make this into some grand awakening on the part of ABC and it's really just not that deep. People liked the show in the 90's so they're going to tune in to at least the first couple of episodes. Talk to me in 8 weeks.

Oklahoma teachers will fight 'until hell freezes over' if needed$1000 a month?! No one should have to live on that, especially not people who have gone through advanced education to become educators. When I was in high school, I discovered that many of my teachers had second jobs— at department stores, bartending, housepainting. Even then it made me sad to think about them working so hard at school during the day, and then having to go to another job. Never a break. And this was in NJ, where teachers are actually paid much better than in many other states, but of course the cost of living is much higher.

From that article:
"Mueller’s investigators have indicated to the president’s legal team that they are considering writing reports on their findings in stages — with the first report focused on the obstruction issue, according to two people briefed on the discussions."

Just this weekend we went to an event at a local play place and my daughter's child care teacher was working there. Apparently I'd never been there on weekends to see her. This is a non-profit, independent, very high quality child care that prides itself on paying their teachers as much as they can without making tuition completely unaffordable (which, IMO, it is - but we are lucky enough to manage only going part time). Plus this teacher has a 3yo herself and she said it doesn't even work to bring her to work with her because.. 3 yo. It really bothered me seeing her there - even though I know that many of the teachers work second jobs - and we are in MA where things are super expensive. Not public school, but also a problem.

When read together, these make me dream a dream that Mueller is getting Trump to agree to interview by telling him he's not a "target" when he could never be a "target" since he most likely can't be indicted.

And let's not forget that a teacher's work doesn't end with the school bell. My school dismissed at 4, I would work there until 5, then lug a huge crate home, cook dinner for 7 and keep working until about 9 most nights.

My reptilian hopeful brain went here too but everything I've read, heard and know about Bobby Three Sticks (which is considerable) suggests that he's too straight a shooter to pull anything like this. But I really hope I'm wrong.

Is it in OK where they were offered a 15% raise and refused because they're protesting the state's indifference to education as a whole? I heard about teachers rejecting a sizable raise because their students would still be lacking text books. It was inspiring to hear that.
