I think I heard something about that on NPR. Dude sounded like a REALLY privileged 50s style white man. He announced he is running for Senate - Lou Barletta.
Real piece of shit this guy. I have my best stink eye ready. I hope he walks by my cubicle and sees my Notorious RBG picture hanging up.
Fucker.
you should 'accidentally' trip him while hes holding a cup of hot coffee.

Sinclair media is now survailling the reporters they forced to dog whistle the public. Sinclair Management Is Making Its Employees Downright Miserable: ReportI know it says this but most people have personal cell phones and laptops they use for work. So this could go into invasion of privacy to keep their message sacred. So you mean white washing... You can't blame these people. They gotta live but as a group they should stand up. Are they going to fire over 600 media personalities? Ehhh... I hate Sinclair and everything they stand for but I think most employers these days have these 'no privacy' disclaimers on their electronics and communications systems. They have to be able to monitor e communications for spam, phishing, trojan horses, people watching porn and, yeah, disgruntled employees.

At the risk of being flamed as overly PC or something -- can we agree to refer to people as undocumented immigrants rather than illegal?

The fact that this "let's kill the women who get abortions" shit is going more and more mainstream is terrifying. This guy is a kook. And its always been his position. Much like another Idaho favorite, Brandi Swindell, who you may recall from being detained in China before the Beijing olympics. Shes a driving force behind almost ALL idahos anti choice legislation.

That was a horrifying read. It scares me that even in the face of evidence to the contrary, people continue to go with their gut and believe things that are so clearly untrue.

ETA - My wording was illegal immigration? Is that a no no now?
Asking with no snark.

I assumed Uncaripswife was referring to JukEboX saying “illegals”. I don’t think there is anything wrong with “illegal immigration”.

Illegal immigration is fine, imo. But I've seen references to "illegals."

Trump continues appointing people to regulate things they specifically believe shouldn't even exist. All part of the plan to dismantle all the things.

Def not the best term to use.

I am worried that this is all part of a calculated plan to put out the message that the Blue Wave is coming, make the GOP seem pre-emptively defeated, and as a result a large percentage of young Dem voters won’t turn out because they don’t feel they need to. Is that just my tinfoil hat talking?

My H asked last night what it would take for us to up and move out of the U.S. to a different country, what the final straw would be for me to agree. He confided that he’s been thinking more and more about it, and that he sees things heading to the direction of civil war before they get better. I think I need to take away his internet or something because I haven’t given up hope that we can flip the house and senate in November and maybe have a chance of undoing this mess I would caution him against taking any steps in that direction unless he wants to answer a lot of questions about it at his next security clearance adjudication

Is that just my tinfoil hat talking? I don’t think so, but mainly because voting apathy is a real thing and seems to be worsening. Here in my county, voter turnout percentage is usually in the teens.

"President Trump has been hosting a slew of private dinner parties at the White House with friends, lawmakers, conservative leaders and prominent television journalists, according to a Politico report.
The dinners often serve as a means of entertainment for the president and, at times, offer him an affirmation of his own views, Politico reported." link Everything's fine. This is totally normal. "The dinners have also become an informal way for Trump to hear advice and do business. This week, for example, he dined with venture capitalist Peter Thiel and Oracle Corp. co-CEO Safra Catz, whose company is vying for a multibillion-dollar Pentagon contract."

We both have clearances, but unlike mine, his job is dependent on it. Plus, I don’t we’re at the point to where it’s a thought to be seriously considered

We just defeated Schrenock here in WI- my ward was the high producer with 73.58% of voters turning out! No apathy here-just give us a real candidate. You bet we’re excited

They found the body of the missing CDC scientist. They don't know what happened. I read the GD thread when it was first posted and then spiraled on Reddit. That's so sad.

After finding out Kevin Williamson's "women who have abortions should be hanged" wasn't just an ill-advised tweet (🙄) but like a serious opinion he'd shared multiple times, publicly, The Atlantic finally decided having him on board was not the greatest idea. When will people start taking others at their word? When someone tells you who they are, believe them! I’m so done with the Atlantic.
