Curious about what method/methods people are using! I’m sure I missed something, I just stole a list from a random website 😛

We will just be using condoms (if we have sex...I still have no desire) and H will be getting the snip later this spring. I'm torn on the idea of something permanent but my body will not handle another pregnancy so it's a must.

Condoms for now, although my period tends to stay away while BFing. We want a 4th and we prefer them be spaced less than two years apart so we may start TTC in the next year.

We aren't able to have sex yet because I'm still healing 😭 So right now nothing! We haven't decided what we'll do yet though. We had to do IVF for this pregnancy so we feel like the chances of us getting pregnant on our own are low (although possible of course). We might just take our chances and see, as we know we do want another but ideally we wouldn't want to get pregnant for at least a year or two. But getting to avoid IVF again would be nice!

I’m on tapa so can’t see the actual poll. We aren’t on anything. Is celibacy a choice? Hahahah. We are going to start trying when B is 6 months so we didn’t really see the point plus I have no desire still.

I am on tapa so I can’t see the options. We have been using condoms but I had an iud put in 3 weeks ago. In a little more than a week, we will be relying on iud only. I hate condoms.

Also can’t see the poll but condoms for us over here also. MH is going for the snip also once M is 6 months (their recommendation) but I have all the feels over not carrying another baby. But we are keeping the doors open for adoption down the road

Hormonal birth control and I aren’t compatible. We are DONE and H will get a V at some point but I’m not ready for that yet. I don’t know what that means. H says it means I haven’t shut the door on a 4th but I have. Anyway, condoms for now.

Im not sure if we're done. I would rather have 2 over 3 because financially we can do more of the things we want (pay for college, nice vacations, larger house, etc). I don't want to be kid poor. And my last delivery scared me. But we're nervous over making that decision too soon. Hormonal BC and I are no thanks but we hate condoms.. So I'm not sure. Maybe I'll get a copper IUD as much as they scare me and I don't want anyone in my cervix ever again but this way it buys us time.

We are done having kids. I’d rather not be on BC for the rest of my life so I’d like MH to get a V, but he doesn’t want to. I’m going to still try convincing him because he wants me to get my tubes tied. No thanks. I am getting an IUD placed on Tuesday for now.
We may, down the road, do foster care and eventually adoption, but not until DD2 is older.

I’m taking the mini-pill for now until H deploys & then I can go off. I hate BC & how it makes me feel.

I had the nexplanon arm implant last time, but I think it caused a lot of weight gain, plus I bled a lot. I think I’m going to do Mirena this time. I’m kinda scared, but I’m sure it will be fine. We are also also done having kids, but don’t want anything permanent yet. H will hopefully get a V within the next few years.

This week I scheduled H’s V 🙌🏻 earliest appointment was July.
I’ll still use the pill because I like knowing when to expect my period. I’ll probably make a decision in the fall if I want to go off.

The first time I did Skyla which is a lower dose of hormones and only lasts for 3 years. The reason I did that one then is because my dr advised me that if I want to have another child, it could get pregnant right after it is taken out. That’s exactly what happened too. Lol. This time around I have in the generic version of mirena. It’s called lileta (sp?) or something like that. IUDs work great as long as they are properly placed. It should be inserted and then checked with a sonogram. Then it should be checked again after about 6 weeks.

I'm a little over a week into the mini pill and I've been spotting for 3 days now. I always have issues with BC except for the "full strength" but I wanted to give this a try to maintain my supply (such as it is). I think I'll be switching to the regular pill soon.

It’s called Kyleena and it lasts 5 years. I hated the pill and attribute most of my weight gain as a teen to the pill. I asked my GYN for the lowest dose of hormone possible and he said this was the best option. Plus, most of the hormone is localized to the uterus. I hope I like it.

Pretty much this. I can’t imagine signing up for a tubal when a V is over in 30 min with local anesthetic.

We are using the po method, I’ve never gotten pregnant using this method and I hate condoms and bc. Even tho L scared the shit of me and h I don’t feel done yet, h on the other hand would beg to differ but I think that has to do with his age.

We’re done b/c my body can’t handle another pregnancy and my marriage couldn’t either. For now we’re using condoms b/c hormonal birth control and I don’t get a long. H will eventually get a vasectomy. If I had needed a c-section I would have had my tubes tied.

That’s been my argument since we started talking about it. It’s not as easy for women. Plus, I carried 2 babies and went through child birth. That’s the last thing I want to do. I’m hoping he comes around, though.

I have a paraguard now. At least till my period comes back. If my periods are too bad I may switch to a hormonal one. My paraguard is too til I'm 50 so hopefully it is all we need.

We’ll be condoms until the V happens. He’s already called his doctor to discuss what to do to book it, and basically waiting for me to be sure of this decision. He is, lol. I’m pretty sure I am too.

We aren't sure if we are done. I don't like hormonal bc and I had the paragaurd before kids. Honestly I don't really want it again. I think we will use condoms for a bit until we decide if/when to have another. I asked at my 6w appt and was basically told paraguard is the only non hormonal option but I wonder about something with low dose hormones.

I voted SS. Right now we are using none but DH is worried about me getting pregnant early. I didn’t get my cycle back until 8 months pp last time - but that doesn’t mean anything for this time. DH has mentioned possibly getting condoms or pulling out but so far we’ve had sex once with zero preventative methods.

We’re using condoms for now. My body does not like the pill or mini pill. I hated the mirena. I don’t want the Paraguuard because I don’t want heavier periods than I already have. The implant freaks me out. DNW injections or the implant. I’m open to the nuvaring, My OB also said that since I had the mirena before kids last time, my body might react totally different to it this time now after Kids. I didn’t realize there were others on the market with less hormone. I might ask her about the kyleena or skyla. If we have anymore kids, it wouldn’t be before 3 years but I definitely would be before 5 years. So I might ask about the skyla since that has the fewest amount of hormone in it.
