Hi all Happy Fri!
What's everyone got planned for today/Easter weekend?

O slept better than usual 😍 8-12, 1230-230, 315-430. 445-530, 545-7. I should let her fuss thru those last couple times bc I know it's just the sleep cycle ending but DD1 achieved a new milestone last night; creepy bedside staring, so I didn't want to wake her (she was with us). But, I feel better rested for those longer stretches. So yay.
Today it's rainy and MH is WFH. I might take the girls on a Target run or maybe I'll go visit my parents. Or both. Not sure.
Tomorrow we're going to do an egg hunt at our church. Sunday is church then my parents for Easter dinner. We're just going to go over there because, with the way my DD1 has been napping in the afternoon, if we come home after church to do lunch and nap we won't get to my parents until 5. Maybe I'll just take the girls over that early and MH can stay behind for a bit and get some work done (it's month end and he's an accountant). He's WFH Monday because his best friend is coming over for the afternoon while he's up visiting family with the kids (he lives down in NC).

Good morning! We are up, fed and I am showered and dressed. I am running the dishwasher and put away all the laundry I did yesterday. G is watching frozen and the baby is napping in the rnp. Since I have yet to take both kids out by myself, I’m going to attempt that today. I’m all prepped. I just need to dress them, give the baby a bottle and head out.

I no longer have a fever which is good. I’m just going to take it easy today to not over do it but will do Easter eggs with DS1 later.
I also have to decide if I should still go out tomorrow with DS1 to an Easter egg hunt and have Easter at my parents house with my grandma.

I'd say if you remain fever free without meds for 24 hours you should be good to go for tomorrow.

Glad your fever is gone kbw! Hope you are feeling 100% soon. DH works tomorrow. I am debating looking up Easter egg hunts in my area and taking the girls but I will probably talk myself out of it haha. Next week is my last week home alone with J before I start classes and she starts daycare. I am actually really ready to have a break from her. Is that bad? 😬 I also just can't wait to interact with adults again on a regular basis.

Happy Friday everyone!
We have some friends and my SIL visiting today, and then lots of visits to family the rest of the weekend. DS slept great last night (DH brought him up at 11:45 to eat, and then he slept 12:15-4:15, 4:45-7:15, and 7:30-9:30). I had insomnia though and didn't sleep well, so I'm tired today.
He has seemed insatiable the past several days...during the day he is eating every hour sometimes. Can you overfeed a baby at this age? (Almost 7 weeks) I'm worried I'm letting him eat too often. But he does seem hungry each time!!

pinkcat there’s a 6 week growth spurt so that’s probably why he’s eatkng all the time. dS2 was doing this earlier in the week.

No plans today other than maybe going out for fish and chips. I’m happy to have a day to do nothing as I was out of the house from 9-6 yesterday and have to work tomorrow.
Today is my husband’s first day of paternity leave (he’s taking 2 months), so he did half the feeding last night. One of the good things about going back to work is that I’ll get a bit more sleep!

Morning! We are on our way to my ILs for today through tomorrow afternoon (about a 2 hour drive) then Saturday afternoon coming back and stopping at my parents overnight as my siblings will also be up visiting for Easter. So we get big supper tonight and tomorrow! I just have to AW N’s outfit lol I think she’s looking extra cute today 😄

pinkcat if you were overfeeding he’d likely spit it up. Probably just a spurt of some sort! I’ve been going through the same thing myself the last couple days with N.

Morning! I went out for dinner with a friend last night & ending up running into another one. It was so nice to get out and have adult interaction. Plus tequila.
My dad is coming by tomorrow for Easter and going out Sunday with my mom. I really hope the grandparents don’t overdo it with gifts for the girls. 🐣

The past two nights have been really rough. I’m hoping it’s the first leap and she will go back to going down easier and staying in the R & P. It’s taken over two hours to get her down the past two nights and she hasn’t wanted to stay in the R & P, she has ended up in bed with me far more than I like and I can’t sleep deeply enough with her there. Needless to say, I am very tired! My mom is here today so at least I have a little help, but DS was really missing me and needed some mommy time, so I couldn’t stay in bed longer. We are having Easter here with my in-laws on Sunday.

I went to target with both kids by myself. I am pretty proud. Its a small thing but I was pretty terrified of it. They were both perfect angels.

Hello everyone! I have been pretty MIA lately. I survived my first week back to work! C had 3 nights in a row (Fri, Sat & Sun) of sleeping 10 hours thru the night. Then his sleep went to shit this week & last night we are back to a 10 hour night. I thought maybe it was his new schedule with being at daycare but I actually think it has more to do with the Gerber gas drops that I forgot about in my morning rush out the door. I started those back up again yesterday so maybe that's the trick. I know there was some discussion of those in the gassy thread that I lurked. So if anybody is on the fence about them I would definitely recommend! Worth the $30 because I think that is the trick for us!
Happy Easter!

It's a quiet day in the office since it's Good Friday so MH is going to bring LO and meet me for lunch!! I'm stoked.
Also, we are closing on selling our house on Tuesday so I'm finally allowing myself to feel a sense of relief. Double rent/mortgage pmts have not been fun for the past 4 months. Woo!!

Happy Friday! I have one more week of maternity leave before I go back to work. Luckily, I’ll be working from home 3 days and going into work for 2. I’ll do that for about a month until we can get DD2 into daycare. There’s a bit of a waitlist.
I think DD2 is finally on a schedule 👍🏻 and is sleeping 9.5-10 hours at night. I feel like a brand new person with the sleep I’m finally getting.
DD1 has an Easter egg hunt tomorrow, but we’re supposed to get rain and like 35 MPH winds so I’m not sure that will be happening. Easter Sunday we’re going to brunch at a restaurant. Nothing super crazy around here.
Happy weekend!

Is that bad? 😬 I also just can't wait to interact with adults again on a regular basis. DH has been primarily in charge of her during the day since he is laid off and I went back to work and it has been kinda nice to not have her right there with me all the time. Don't feel bad, you don't love her any less you just need a break!

Faith's 2 month appointment was today and it went pretty good. She grew an inch in length and almost a pound (15 oz) in weight. Her growth curve has kinda flattened out but the nurse practitioner said it isn't anything to be alarmed about unless it continues. She said to be on the lookout for signs of reflux but so far the habits we described to her didn't point to reflux, but it might explain why her eating habits have been so weird lately. Her head is measuring in the 83rd percentile *wide eyes*. She got her 2 months shots today and did okay and is currently sleeping in my arms. I will need to back to my desk in a little bit, but I'm enjoying the snuggles at the moment.
My parents will be here in a few hours. We are going to Good Friday services this evening and Easter services on Sunday, then Easter lunch with my sister and her crew.

I have a 4 day weekend from work so I sent the two year old to the sitter and have been organizing and listing baby clothes online all morning. I’m taking an hgtv break right now with the baby. We have two Easter egg hunts tomorrow and a breakfast so that will be fun and DD1 is really excited for all the candy haha. I finally took B’s 3 month picture this morning too. No real plans tonight. I haven’t eaten all day so hoping I can talk DH into going out to eat tonight.

Last night MH and I handed off BOTH boys to their grandparents last night and enjoyed our first kid free night in a looooooong time. We had sushi, drank beer, slept without being woken up and made breakfast together. I also cleaned my house, got 4 loads of laundry done and put away and went to the mall alone. Best weekend ever.
DS1’s birthday party is tomorrow so I’m just getting the last bit of stuff together for that and then we have dinners and Easter egg hunts the rest of the weekend. I’m so scared of the amount of chocolate that is probably headed D’s way 🙈

My husband is off work today and has been doing things around the house that he has been neglecting.... BUT him being at the house is allowing him to watch J while I go get a massage shortly. YAY YAY YAY
I am going to stop at CVS after the massage and then pick up DD from daycare.

I stayed within my weight watchers points for two days and a row, now I’m just lying back waiting to be thin. That’s how this works right?! Right now I’m eating carrots instead of chocolates. Sigh.
DS has been having some five hour stretches at night, which somehow feels so much longer than four. Of course I’m immediately responding to that by wasting them by staying up later and hanging with DH (he works restaurant hours so we don’t get much time together at night). I need to be more responsible so I’m not overtired, but I’m just such a night owl at heart!

sweetsurprise- not going to lie, it is kind of nice being something other than mom for 8/9 hours a day. It does make me appreciate my baby snuggles even more. I am a little salty about taking my 6 week old baby to daycare but at least the flu seems to be dying down in our area.
