so my mailbox seems to have just gone kaput. it doesn't appear it was hit now that i saw it in daylight. it seems the welding on a joint is gone and just broke. i'm scared to look at the cost of a new mailbox. they are like 30 bucks at HD. ours got hit by cars a lot.

While I love the idea of blowing the bitch up Betweenthelines , I would be cautious with that. Seems like she would quickly try to say you're harassing her. Do you have enough info to contact her agent? If so I would direct all communication through them. Document all the conversations and roll it up to a supervisor if you're not getting answers. Your insurance company can step in and help deal with their insurance if their being difficult. What company do they have, if you don't mind me asking. Feel free to message me the info. I dealt with car insurance a good bit at my last job. Yeah. I'm not going to jump to any extremes yet, especially because this lady seems crazy over the top. She actually had the fucking nerve to leave a message on my moms phone later in the day yesterday saying "hi this is so and so, we met by accident, HA-HA. how did everything go with the police? Did they have to look at my car or anything?" BITCH we aren't your personal assistant!! She has Liberty Mutual insurance. I don't even know if they'll cover the car seats. Mine definitely will, but we're trying to go through hers. I would have your insurance cover the seats and then they can go after her insurance for reimbursement. I live in a "no fault" state. So my insurance would cover all my stuff and then go after the other insurance if there was a dispute. Thankfully, the last accident we *my H* was involved in, the other insurance was on top of everything and didn't fight at all.

Get your car seats, your insurance should reimburse you for yours, and let them hash it out with Liberty mutual to get their money back. This is what your adjuster should be doing.

I love that you've just jumped into our group. Yes, DS decided "fuck the crib" last night. I eventually got him back in, but this weekend is going to be spent cleaning out his room and making sure there are no death traps. Hopefully you guys don't mind and I don't end up blowing up your BMB Scary Mommy style. Ya just can't quit us.

I have to go all through mine or all through hers (car, car seats, everything). I am also in a no fault state, but I don't see why we should be paying our deductible for something that wasn't our fault.

Our ins. company told my mom she was absolutely not at fault, and that at this point if we choose to, we can go through her insurance. But WE have to speak to them. Geico also said they can't just replace the seats if we go through the other persons insurance. It's all or nothing. But they said if the other insurance really gives us a hard time that we can still go back to ours and go all through ours, we'll just have to pay the deductible.

Is it a law that all insurances have to cover car seats? or did I make that up... She knew the kids were in the car because the director (also my friend) came out of DC to check on the kids and bring them into school. So she saw them. I'm not sure, Geico told me every insurance is different and I'll have to check with her insurance.

taketheshot- Don't forget that you working would be offset by day care costs. So while you might not be bringing money in, per se, you are contributing something of huge value to your household. I'm way impressed that you are organized enough for activities. Betweenthelines- I'm happy to hear the kids are feeling ok, how is your mom feeling. armpants- your siggy makes me smile, I love Planet Earth Pizzaslut- I'm so sorry about your MIL, I hope they let you in to help soon.

Betweenthelines, this seems weird to me. Have you personally talked to your insurance? But every accident I have been in have been my fault so really I have no idea what I'm talking about.

Peekaru, my mom is good. Still peeved, but it is what it is. It wasn't a very hard (for an adult) hit thankfully. DD told me when I picked her up "someone crashed into meema and it threw my tablet on the floor! And I said to her that was a big bump!" so at least she's not scared or anything.

Have you called her agent yet Betweenthelines? Get the claim number and the adjustor contact info. Once you talk to the adjustor ask their hours and who is your contact when they're out of the office. I think they should cover the car seats. They're going to want the verification of cost and some want proof that you've disposed of the old car seats. Liberty Mutual is a hit or miss company from my experience, just depends on the agent. I really hope things go smoothly for you. I really hope she gets a ticket for leaving the scene. That should also reflect well for your mom and have that bitch be listed as at fault.

We have an agents name and number, and also her claim number all from her insurance. My mom spoke to an agent when giving her statement. They said they are going to investigate and call my mom back. So if my mom doesn't hear from them today, she's going to call them and tell them we want to go through her ins and also need new car seats. So hopefully we find out more answers today from her insurance.

taketheshot, +1 to Peekaru's comment about you are saving a TON of $$ by staying home with A and bring a ton to your family. I hate you are feeling that way.

Book of a Mormon was hilarious. I did not expect to laugh as hard as I did though. There were a couple parts where I literally could not catch my breath. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Easily my favorite modern musical. Glad you liked it! Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk

ALSO, J CLIMBED OUT OF HIS CRIB LAST NIGHT. I'm not ready for this. After, he decided he wanted play and didn't go to sleep until almost 10. Welcome to the club. Yep. I'm just glad she hasn't figured out how to open doors yet, too. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
