Betweenthelines why would she dispute it if the accident was her fault? I think you mentioned yesterday but is the car totaled? How are the kids and your mom doing today? Not totaled. But I need a new bumper and headlight. She was a bitch and my mom heard her telling the cops "she admitted she was wrong and it was all her fault" which, obviously my mom did not do that. And she kept saying how she was in such a rush to catch her train and didn't even give a shit to ask about my kids in the car and cared only about her "doing live tv". So I just know it's probably going to be a fight with how she presented herself. Everyone is ok thankfully. I was watching the kids like a hawk yesterday and ds kept tripping and falling. It felt like it was more than normal but it wasn't really. I was just getting in my head. Kid is climsy.

And right before all the accident drama, some drama went down in my office with me, my CW, and our supervisor. Supervisor pulled some really fucking rude shit, so I stepped out to compose myself before I blew a lid, but my CW said something to her and told her she was completely out of line.
And then I left.
So I'm not sure what I'm walking into today.

Pizzaslut hopefully it was a one time thing. DS has climbed out a few times but it's rare so we are still in the crib. (Team crib for lyfe)

Betweenthelines how are the kids this morning? I hope she's not as much trouble as you're anticipating. Don't let the insurance company low ball you on settlement. Mil said they're fine. I don't see them in the AM's since I leave the house at 530

Oh you guys are talking about the dreaded climbing out of the crib milestone. My kid turned 2 at the end of May and he has yet to do it, it's like a miracle. Sometimes he starts to put his leg up on the side and I just hold my breath and don't react. I'd like him to stay in the crib until at least 5. That's not crazy, right?

Betweenthelines, I'm glad your supervisor isn't there. Hopefully when they come back everything will have blown over. Sorry for your extra shitty day yesterday.

nenarene, ds was about 18-19 months when he climbed out of his crib. I watched the whole thing on the camera while I was at work an hour away. That was the worst. I would have kept him in his crib as long as possible if he hadn't done that. DD who is almost 4 never climbed out of hers, but we transitioned her to a bed early (about 20 mo) because we needed the crib for ds. She didn't even realize she was allowed to get out of her BED until she was like... 3. LOL So, long story short, I hope you kid ends like my DD, and not DS.

It was a rough start to sleep last night. I think I finally got to sleep around midnight. Between K fussing/coughing, my stomach bothering me, my legs hurting and then I felt like I was going to get sick. I was dead to the world until about 630. I didn't hear any of the nor.al morning noises H makes.

Maybe my kid is just lazy because he sleeps all night and then stands at the end and cries until I get him in the morning and I'm not allowed to sit him down to walk himself out of the room, haha. He is not a morning person.

Betweenthelines, i'm petty about some things and a bitch. so if this suggestion is out of line, ignore. so the woman responsible is on live tv, huh? i would do some digging and see why? like does she work for a network, is she an expert in some field, can you watch the clip off the networks fb page and leave a comment? My suggestion would be if she's for some high profile company, i'd be calling their hr department and filing a complaint. "Mrs Bitch caused an accident yesterday on her way to do a live tv show. She was so unconcerned by her actions or what harm she caused my 2 children, who are 4 and 1 by the way, that she rushed off. She was a hazard to teh community with her disregard for road safety and the safety of others. Since she came off as being on company time, I thought you shoudl be aware of your employee's actions and lack of responsibility. " FB comment - glad you made it to do your live tv on time at the expense of the safety of 2 children that are 3 and 1, you know when you ran straight into their vehicle causing an accident and than rushing from the scene. Your lack of empathy disgusts me and I think your fans should know what you did." but like i said, i'm a petty bitch.

so my mailbox seems to have just gone kaput. it doesn't appear it was hit now that i saw it in daylight. it seems the welding on a joint is gone and just broke.
i'm scared to look at the cost of a new mailbox.

I like it, I like it RunsforWineandCarbs. I'm going to keep that in my back pocket if she starts playing dirty. She isn't even ON live tv, she is a makeup artist/stylist for a VERY well known news channel. H called her up asking for her insurance info because technically we didn't have all her info, and she left the scene, and she started flipping out on him saying he was manipulating her and "I know what you're trying to do!" so I have a feeling this is going to be prolonged process.

At this point I think it's up to the insurance companies to decide who was at fault. (Ours already told us we are definitely not at fault since we had the right of way and she had the stop sign)

Betweenthelines, I would be sending a letter or making that call to the hr department to get it on record sooner than later. Let them know she used work as an excuse so you thought they should be made aware of the situation, that she is not cooperating with providing her insurance information and that she left the scene of an accident that had to young children involved. I would also, be like you are well respected company in this community, i know you will do the right thing. type of sucker punch to them.

That woman sounds like a drama queen. And not the good kind. I wonder what the police wrote in their report?

RunsforWineandCarbs - We bought a new mailbox last year and the box itself wasn't expensive. We didn't replace the post it sat on though, which would probably be the larger expense.

(Ours already told us we are definitely not at fault since we had the right of way and she had the stop sign) Good luck! This reminded me of a random story. An old coworker ran a stop sign and got in a car accident. She was not at fault though..... because the other driver was not insured and shouldn't have been driving. Crazy! This is all very frustrating and sad. I'm sorry she's being difficult

@pizzslut, NO! Can you turn the crib around? Or think it was just a fluke? Well he decided to climb out the side, so I'm not sure turning it around would help. He fell asleep in our bed last night and was fine when I transferred him. Then this morning, when he woke up, I went in and he started to throw his leg over the side again. I'm not ready for this!! I think we may do some serious cleaning out of his room and MAYBE turn it into the toddler bed soon. He was standing on top of a tunnel toy last night so at least he didn't drop far and hurt himself?! I may just surround his crib with pillows.

Ugh I'm so tired. I stayed up too late just to watch the Cavs blow it. This has been a pattern with you. Maybe you should switch it up and go to sleep when they start to play. Maybe they'll win? At this point, I'd rather them just be swept than drag it out and break my heart at the end (looking at you, Cleveland Indians).
