robot, I had a cold like that a couple weeks ago. Ice cream helped my sore throat 😉 I also ended up having to take cough syrup at night because the sore throat made me cough a lot. I hope you feel better soon. Thanks, I might have to send DH out for some cough syrup if I can find anything open since I’m coughing from the sore throat too.

itsmemeg budders I'm having a lot of those same anxious feelings about the baby and his impending arrival. And I'm especially worried about how we are about to blow up my toddlers sense of "normal". I'm an only child and have no idea what it's like to have a sibling. I'm so worried she will feel like she's being left behind or something. She has so many adults in her life that shower her with love and make her the center of attention. My H works for his grandparents (he's working to take over the family business completely in the next year) and his grandma watches Ella during the day. The property is like the family compound...his mom and two of his brothers have granny units/studios on the property too. So she's literally around all these people daily that focus on her and consider her the best part of their day. I hope she does ok sharing that love. Ugh. So many feelings. Haha

I totally get those feelings. I'm feeling that way, too. There seems to be so much to do plus DD is definitely becoming more of a handful every day. Then I'm also starting to be worried about the financials. We added my BIL to our insurance plan and our cell phone plan after MIL died. But DH hasn't said how he's getting BIL's share of those bills yet. Its frustrating because though we can make do, I dont want to have to pay for his portion.
Ugh. End rant.

Oh and we bought a new car yesterday. We got a minivan for more space and I love it!

Some of you may remember my friend who had a late term loss in December. Her due date is coming up. I think it was around 7 April.
Anyone had experience with this: should we mark the occasion somehow?
I have a play date planned with her on Friday 6th. I haven’t seen her since the funeral so it’s a big deal. But I expect she’ll cancel: she’s notorious for cancelling anyway and this will be a hard day, especially cause I’m so far along now where she should’ve been.
Advice?

adeline I had a friend who had a late term loss, 37-38 weeks. I didn’t live close by but I still reached out to her just to let her know I was thinking of her and her family at the anniversary. She was due with her second baby right around the sane time as well. Maybe send a card and/or just reach out to let her know you’re thinking of her and there if she needs you.

adeline +1 to what itsmemeg said. If you can find something and think it's appropriate for her, I've seen people who sent something with angel wings (necklace, keychain, etc)

I had the WORST sleep last night. No matter the side, my hips were either in agony or fell asleep, so I kept tossing and turning from one side to the other. Poor H. Also at one point in my mostly asleep state I decided to try to lay on my stomach.

adeline, like others said reach out to her and let her know you're thinking of her, her family, and the baby using it's name. Everyone I know that has had a loss like that wants the baby to be referenced to by name. Let her know that if she wants to talk that you're available but also let her know there is no pressure.

adeline +1 to definitely reaching out and using baby’s name. If there’s a nonprofit that does research into the baby’s condition (sorry if I’m recalling incorrectly, thinking it was a kidney condition?) you might consider donating to it in baby’s name, if that would be comforting to your friend. I do this for my nephew and his mom appreciates seeing his name in print from the March of Dimes. But really just acknowledging & remembering is the most important, since so many people won’t.

OB check up went well this morning. I’m seeing a light at the end of this packing/moving tunnel. On the one hand I’m glad we’ve been able to go at our own pace instead of doing it all in a weekend, but on the other I am so ready to be at the new house full time!

A little jealous. Does bored mean alone time? Not much of that for me lately. Commiserations though, I was supposed to have a play date with some good friends from my mums group today for the first time in months and DD wakes up with a gross head cold so we can’t go. No, no alone time, unfortunately. Everyone is sick so we've been stuck in the house for five days now. The days are going soooo slowly.

Add me to the freaking out team. I am simultaneously very ready to not be pregnant and very very not ready to put a baby in the mix yet.

... H has been complaining about not having enough socks, despite the fact that his clothes alone get washed twice a week. I finally went to throw a load of towels on from the towel and linen basket, and all of his socks are at the bottom of the towel basket... he has his own basket for his dirty clothes... Why must he make me feel like a crazy lady!?

I’m pretty freaked out also! I think at this point it’s just like I don’t want to be pregnant but omg how do I have 2kids?! Lol
I’ve been feeling terrible lately. My stomach hurts a lot (I’ve had diarrhea for 4 days on and off-sorry for tmi), terrible cramping, lots of BH and just so tired. I’m just counting down reminding myself it will soon be over. I feel like all I do is complain lately

My friend and I worked our butts off the last couple days and I’m now ready whenever this kid decides to make an appearance!

FYI BMB, Robot and I figured out that (until she moves) we live less than an hour away from each other. Well, depending on traffic.

In my other BMB there are 3 other moms within an hourish and I've met up with 2 of the 3 a few times.

My last BMB broke up into multiple groups as they do, but I became besties with 5 other ladies and we've gone on annual trips and this year we are all bridesmaids in our friend's wedding. It was pretty cool to meet lifelong friends so randomly.

None of us really live by each other, though. That part is a bummer.

I finally feel like a good mom again after taking my sons to the zoo today after a week of going nowhere because we're all sick. We were there for about 3 hours and by the end of it, DS#2 was sitting on DS#1's lap in the tiny umbrella stroller I brought. (So maybe not such a great mom-oops) I need to invest in a bigger stroller before #3! But I just can't stomach paying for a new double stroller since we just bought a house and will be buying a bigger car too. I'm hoping something good will pop up on craigslist soon.

It was pretty cool to meet lifelong friends so randomly. I'm still FB friends with a number of girls from when I was on the knot when I got married 7 years ago. There are 2 ladies in particular who I adore and will totally plan at some point to meet in person =)

So random since our older kids are also nearly exactly the same age and we have almost the same due date.

I had my 30 week appt yesterday and I’m aready resigned myself to the diagnosis that will be pregnancy induced hypertension. My BP was up yesterday and I just checked it again and it’s elevated again.
This and stupid pregnancy hormones had me crying at work today.
(This is such a 180 from my pregnancy with DD-my BP during labor was less than 120/80-all the nurses made comments about that one).
