I’m sitting at the lab waiting for my blood draw. I didn’t eat lunch at school, but sat in the lunchroom. I decided to grab a pizza since I’d be in town. It was my best decision of the day.
I have been noticing that I go from feeling fine to shaky low feeling in like 2 secs. It doesn’t help that I also go from feeling full to starving in the same amount of time so I’m not eating as often as I should.

meggriffin my anatomy scan is scheduled for the 25th I think a bunch of us will get to find out around that time. So exciting! akwild the weird feelings when hungry are happening to me too. I think I’ll start carrying a stash of granola bars in my bag and car for this reason. I also find I feel like garbage when I get too full, so even if I’m ravenous I have to be careful not to eat too much. The joys! We are celebrating Easter today with our families. Brunch at a Chinese restaurant with my family, then take out Indian food at MIL’s house. I often host big dinners at our place for both sides for holidays but I didn’t offer to this time, too tired and the idea of cooking a huge feast make me want to puke lol.

I've been having a really difficult week. I haven't been sleeping well and I'm exhausted all day. I try to go to bed early but then either can't fall asleep or am randomly awake for three hours in the middle of the night, so I just can't get ahead of it. Plus I still feel sick on some level most evenings. DS has been really trying lately - lots of meltdowns and tantrums and general whining and crying over everything and anything. I don't have the patience for it and it's wearing me down even more. I'm so frustrated with how impatient I've been and I feel really guilty for being a lousy parent lately 😔
Thanks for letting me complain. Hope everyone enjoys their weekend ☺️

tbirdlove I’m sorry you’re having a rough week. My DD has been difficult lately too, all the whining and crying becomes a drag.

I just got my results from my blood panels last week. Midwife says I have low vitamin D and need to start supplements. Anyone else ever have this? I'm kind of surprised because I love being outside, I eat a lot of oranges, salmon, yogurt, and lots of cheese!!! Probably not great with milk but everything else!

She said to take 4,000 mcg supplements per day. I really do think it helped me feel better!

Hugs tbirdlove. Have you tried unisom to help with sleep? Yeah, I'm still taking a half in the evening. I just can't get comfortable and turn my brain off.

I hope that doesn't mean anything dangerous for baby. Hopefully it's a simple fix and everything is alright.

Ugh. Aside from motn insomnia and a migraine today, I feel too good. I hate this part of pregnancy. I have not felt the baby again, so I'm all worried (irrationally) that something is wrong. And because I'm in the US right now, I can't just pop in for a well check. 😟

blurnette989 I'm sorry you're feeling worried. That in-between phase where you're feeling better but not feeling movement regularly yet is weirdly tough. You're so close to being through this phase though! Hugs!

My OB office didn't even check Vit D levels. Did everyone else's Dr/MW check theirs?

My OB office didn't even check Vit D levels. Did everyone else's Dr/MW check theirs? I was already on a Vitamin D supplement, but I live in MI and it's winter. Pretty sure everyone here needs extra Vitamin D.

Mine didn't check I don't think. I already take calcium and vitamin d since I can't have dairy though. Not sure how much I should actually be taking, maybe I should ask...

Freaks me out too, but I think it’s normal...

Happy Easter to those who celebrate it!
We converted DS2’s crib into a toddler bed tonight, so far it’s been a shit show 😂 God I miss wine.

DS is staying in his crib until he can climb out of it, which thankfully he has not figured out yet. And then I'll probably try to drop the mattress and see if that buys me some more time 😆

I know they didn't because I saw all the lab orders. But now that I'm talking about it I believe my primary did during my physical in the fall and I think it was ok. So maybe some decrease due to winter but I'm probably ok. I could probably even find the paperwork and see where I was in the range. ETA: Noe I was wrong. Primary checked B12. So not sure my D has ever been checked.

The name of the test is 25-Hydroxy, Total, Serum. It might not jump out to you as Vit D. But after some googling, looks like no evidence shows that it's beneficial to test all pregnant women. So it is very likely they didn't do it for most of you.
