I hate Mondays, but surprisingly we get Good Friday off so thankfully it's a 4 days week at least! I still have a day and a half of carryover PTO from last year that expire 3/31 so I'm really hoping to take Thursday off too and make it a 3 day week. Daycare is closed Friday so I'll have DS with me all day and there's a couple errands I need to run that would be easier without him. Probably can at least get a half day Thursday, but the whole day would be great.

I don’t know why my body hates me. I can hardly stay awake until 8pm but between 2-5 am I am wide awake.

It's our last week at school before spring break. The kids are already going crazy and I cannot wait to have a break from the kids.

I was just talking to my FSIL's MOH because I owe her money for the bachelorette party and turns out my FSIL is paying her own way for some of the weekend. She wanted a weekend away in a more expensive town, so she is helping pay for her part. Every other bachelorette party I've been to the brides' costs were 100% split by the group, so for her to realize she asked for something not cheap and help pay for it really impresses me.
Side note - I'm glad I texted the MOH. I just saved myself $25 because part of the cost for the weekend included a vineyard trip which I can no longer drink at.

Just got back from my first appointment at the birth center. They were wonderful and patient and took so much time with me. The children on the other hand, started out good and was a fast slope down to awful pretty quickly. They just could not stay contained that long. I was so embarrassed. I got a blood draw and my hand went numb and the blood stopped so they had to finish on other arm, all while I was trying to keep two toddlers under control. She asked if I wanted to try the Doppler even though it was a good chance we wouldn't hear the heartbeat. I opted to try since either way I'd be anxious not knowing. We didn't hear anything. 🤷♀️ They will have me back in 3 weeks. Hopefully I'll have extra help then.
Also, I've been kind of surprised how many people try to talk to my daughter about me having a baby or being a big sister. I'm clearly not really showing (minus bloat) and I haven't told her. I keep telling them "we haven't told her yet".

pixiepink24 - I'm glad your tour went well except for wrangling toddlers! I can't believe people make comments to your daughter! I would think they'd check with you first since parents don't always share that news immedately with their children!!

Yeah, I think people just don't think about it before opening their mouths. She hasn't caught on yet but did look at and touch my belly for a sec after the lady said to her "so are you guys excited about having a baby?"

pixiepink24, yay for a good appointment, sorry the kid wrangling was rough. People have asked how L feels about all of this. I can't help but think, she's two, she has no clue what's going on, nevermind that we've barely even mentioned it to her at this point. Although, I'm going to start talking to her about it because she's gotten into this possessive phase of "my mom" and it might take some work to get her to understand that I'll always be her mom, but not only her mom.

Speaking of our kids learning about the pregnancy.... Any books that you like for them? Many of the ones I've seen suggested are targeted towards older kids but I'm all for transparency with DD. I've seen "It's Not the Stork" mentioned from local moms.

My DD is 1.5 and I've had people ask if she's excited haha. She will point to my belly (and sometimes her own belly and even dh's belly last night) and say "baby" which is super cute!

pixiepink24 I’m glad you had a good appointment. My mom was talking to M about the baby in my belly and I just yelled across the room “we haven’t told her!” Just because she’s obsessed about talking about babies doesn’t mean we told her.

So I had a surprise call from my MFM tonight asking if I could come in tomorrow morning for an u/s. Apparently my OB wants him to check the placement of my stitch. When I saw my OB today he mentioned making an appointment with the MFM for the a/s and monitoring of my cervix, but nothing about checking the stitch placement. But I'm not complaining. My MFM is older and has a good sense of humour. He mentioned that he wanted me to come in tomorrow as he's going on holidays, so I could either come in the morning for it or meet him in Mexico. 😂

And on the topic of telling siblings, we've already told DS about the baby. Mostly b/c of all my restrictions I wanted him to have a reason that things are changing. We get the question about if he's excited and it's a hard one to answer; he's 2, so he's as excited as he can be without fully understanding how much his life will change 😂

I'm really looking forward to being able to feel baby. I'm only 15 weeks tomorrow and I felt my first movement with DS around 17-18 weeks so I'm assuming I'll feel something in the next couple weeks.
I'm pretty sure I felt something this morning when baby was trying to escape my doppler, lol, but I'm not counting it because it wasn't random movement.

I had my NT scan yesterday and baby was very cooperative and things look good, but the birth center uploaded the paperwork from it and I'm trying to not overthink everything after seeing "mild to moderate hemorrhage" in the report. I'm sure they'll call if there's something I need to know, but I kind of wish I hadn't seen the report.

If there's something you need to know, they'll call!! Or give them a call if you'd like more information - since they uploaded the report without talking to you it's probably more scary sounding than it actually is, but I would think you're free to call and ask about it since they shared the information with you!

Thanks pixiepink24, and Nymeria. I'm trusting that they'll let me know if it's something I should be concerned about. I know I can always call or message them if I need to, it's mostly a matter of telling my brain to shut up!

I looked up the wording for you - The u/s report said this: "A sub-chorionic hemorrhage is identified around gestational sac." To which my OB said this in a message released with the report: "The subchorionic hemorrhage is a common occurrence and does not necessarily increase any risk for the pregnancy." I never really gave it a second thought as I thought I remembered having something similar with DS. But if you want to know more - call and ask! It's better to ask them to explain what it means than to worry yourself 😊

I had my OB appt yesterday and got to hear baby's heartbeat. Always cool. My Dr also gave me the info to schedule my anatomy scan..... Whaaaat??!? I can schedule it between 18-22 weeks, so it's still at least four weeks out, but it seems CRAZY that we're already talking about it!!
ETA: Oh, and apparently I gained 4.5 pounds in the last 4 weeks. Whoops! A little fast for the first tri there TBird! Guess all those carbs and cheese are catching up with me.

I have an unexpected day off because both bonus kids are with their family today. So we planned a nice play date at the park with our best friend. It's so much easier with just one. I'm hoping to finish up my hair today and run some errands since again, easier with one.

Need to leave the house on time? R sleeps in.
I have the day off and day care is closed? He wakes up screaming at 5am.
Thankfully he cuddled up in bed and passed out for 3 more hours. I was surprised he went back to sleep since this was the first time bringing him to bed since he stopped nursing.

I had an OB appointment and we scheduled my anatomy scan today, I should know if we are working on our third boy or by some chance we have a girl in our future on April 23rd.
