To me they seem trendy and ridiculously expensive. I’m also not convinced they’re safe. LOL I just went through their website and it says it should be used next to a semi-alert adult in bed but the adult down not need to be awake. Please explain to me how you can be both. I’m not the most dedicated to ALL the rules about safe sleep (we occasionally coslept and also used the RNP as needed) but this just seems dumb. I’m not going to lie though, I think my toddler would do really well in the big one... but I’m not about to spend that kind of $$$$ for her haha The plush sides are an issue for me because couldn’t the baby roll over and suffocate against them? And whhhhy is it $200? It’s a fucking cushion.

And now we’re on our 4th outfit of the day. Did I just all of a sudden forget how to put on a diaper? Is he peeing gallons at a time today?

I had an appointment this morning. My doctor said I'm nearly 4cm with a very soft cervix and some bulging membranes... I decided to do the membrane sweep and have had some spotting since then. I'm nervous now but with my son the membrane sweep did nothing, so I guess we'll see!

Pampers worked until they didn’t and I had to switch. In my sleep deprived state I couldn’t figure out why and honestly I still don’t know.

Also, my experience with both kids (so far) is that Huggies would work for the first half of the weight class of their sizing, and then they'd leak everywhere.

I had my dr appointment this morning too. My dr asked if DD was excited for the baby and I told her she was, but she's been mad at me for not letting her come to my appointments. My dr said she could come and I may have laughed. No thanks to bringing her with me if I have other options. Next week is my last appointment and the week after I have my csection.

Says me who knows pretty much nothing.

I really honestly think it will be one of those recalled products before too long. Which isn't to say I'm a safe sleep fanatic either (DS slept full time in a RnP for 4 months). I think "safe sleep" surfaces work because they are stupidly uncomfortable for babies and make them not sleep, and that's why they are safer, lol. It's obvious the dockatot works because it's insanely comfortable. I mean. It's a giant cushion. But there's no way to reconcile that with the rest of the guidelines on safe sleep, no way.

We’ve been using pampers swaddlers and I think he’s right in between newborns and size 1. He’s leaked out of both sizes today so I’m stumped. I think we might have some Huggies size 1 so maybe we’ll try those.

So I don't know if I'm sweating, leaking or my water is breaking. I'm kind of concerned...I guess we will wait and see. eek!

+1 for not understanding how dockatot is safe. We have a Halo Bassinet for N and it's a game changer for the PnP. Its right next to me. Love it so much.
We just got N's bili results back and it dropped a bit which is great so we don't need to go to the hospital!! Yay.
I think tonight we'll dye eggs with Em after dinner.
It would have been my due date. I'm so happy to be cuddling my baby instead.
My milk is not going anywhere though. My boobs feel like freaking rocks.

I put DD in cloth (finally) yesterday, but they were rubbing her belly button so we’re back in disposables. I like the ease but I’ve had poop up the back 3 times since she’s been born. That was never an issue with cloth so I’m looking forward switching over again.

She’s also 8 pounds 10 oz today, so past her birthweight. (Don’t kill me) but she’s been an easy baby and takes longer stretches at night. I’m allowed to take them now since she’s up to weight, so I won’t be stressing anymore about it. PPD/A was bad with DS so I’m really enjoying feeling happy this time around. The universe owed me one!

I’m really looking forward to seeing if the magic salad works katietopazI had to stop halfway through because the dressing was so strong it was burning my mouth. I saved the other half of the dressing and maybe I'll do a shot of it later 😂 My H is very entertained by how ridiculous I am. I told him to never underestimate the determination (and the occasional batshit crazy) of a pregnant woman near her due date.

Had a good, final prenatal/pre-op appointment today. Still only dilated at 1 cm, so that's good. I did lose 6 lbs though since my appointment last week (despite eating horribly) and my OB said that can happen at the end of pregnancy, right before delivery. I hope we make it to next week!
Only 2 days of doing home daycare this week and then I'm done for a few weeks. So looking forward to the break!

Cramping and spotting hours after my cervical check this morning is normal, right? Of all the cervical checks I've had in my previous pregnancies and the two checks I've had with this one already, this is the first time I've ever spotted and cramped after.

Mh left to go pick up DD1 from daycare. She cried a little at drop off but not any worse than she sometimes does. She was so proud showing off her baby sister to her teacher.
Today was so nice with it just being the baby. Dd1 was getting so restless being at home so getting her back into her routine will be good all around I think.

Thanks cp3 and yianna! DH is supposed to go to work tonight (meaning he'll be gone for about 36-42ish hours away from home) and my biggest fear is going into labor without him close by. I feel like I'm on the edge of my seat and a bit hypersensitive right now.

The baby shifted into a weird position an hour ago that makes me feel like I’m going to shit my pants. I need this kid out.

mattsgirl2004 totally normal, just watch it. ArielMermaid I hope baby moves soon. I’ve had a few punches that are terrible. I don’t think anything is happening here. No more fluid issues, totally random contractions, so I’m just hoping that means things are progressing on their own.

We have a drs appointment in a bit to recheck N's bili levels and weight. Fx that her bili levels dropped so we don't have to do the light therapy. I've decided to make my Mil a fake FB page so she can see the pictures we post because otherwise she doesn't. I'm not taking the time to send them all to her. I'm sure I'll regret this Do you google photos or Apple photo stream? We do both and added all the iPhone/iPad relatives to the Apple shared photo stream and have a shared google photo album for the non Apple users plus us (since photo storage is free). Have not had a request to “send photos” since! Except my husband’s grandparents don’t get it and think we are specifically sending photos to just them and ring to say “thanks for sending us those photos to the pad (iPad)” every time we upload something lol.

If it turns more into bleeding rather than just spotting you should call. I had spotting and a few contractions after my first check but they were very irregular then both stopped. Then, after my second one the spotting turned into the bloody show and the contractions quickly became regular and turned into labour.
