Another day with a super light schedule, and its been noted he hasn't done public events in days.Very weird. I think they just don’t trust him to interact with the public right now. Too much at stake that he could open his mouth and mess up.

The next time it happens, get a screen shot for me. Is it redirecting you? It should automatically be caught by the PB system, but definitely get a screenshot so I can pass it on. You can post it here or I can give you an email address to send it. That reminds me I have 3 or 4 from this weekend to send you. Do you need the email address? I can't remember who has it already.

My state decided that women giving birth didn't need to be shackled today. Nailing this progressive thinking thing here.
Only some ignorant, misogynist asshole would think a woman trying to push a baby out would try to run away. I mean I'm sure that's not what's really behind the law, but seriously use your effing brain.

I had a patient physically incapable of walking without assistance (due to injury + being like 8.5 months pregnant) and she was still shackled to her bed.

Medicare is putting limits on opioid prescriptions, likely to have unintended consequences. nyti.ms/2pJ7nPYSince most of us aren’t really familiar with morphine I’m also including the conversions for the restricted dose to medications you might have heard of more here: www.med.umich.edu/1info/FHP/practiceguides/pain/dosing.pdfChronic pain aside, because I am far less familiar with that dosing, this would really be difficult for patients undergoing joint replacements.

Trump on the Second Amendment- you knows this was coming after Stevens yesterday, but this last bit is a horrifying thought:

I wish that story about repealing the second amendment hadn’t come out. I think it will push some people who might have been OK with gun control the other direction and will hurt Dems in 2018 because of the all the rhetoric that will come from the right. As usual, facts won’t matter.

I mean, if there is anyone qualified to speak about the constitution... Of course he's qualified. Whether he's right isn't the point. I'm being practical. Some gun enthusiasts might come to the table to talk about licensing, insurance, training, storage, etc. But talking "repeal" gives credence to the NRA's fearmongering. "They're coming for your guns! Tyranny!"

As far as his purpose, I think that he's probably being more academic here than practical. Having literally participated in the current interpretation of the 2A, but no longer being on the bench to create the record, he wants a chance at creating some kind of record/theory on the issue. Which maybe could be valuable to draw from in the future, in and out of the courtroom.

So it seems Atlanta was hacked? Like..... all of it? Yes. Their data has been taken hostage, and they're trying to survive w/ pen and paper. I've only seen one teeny tiny headline about this in the national papers. I'm surprised it isn't getting more coverage.

And our director bitches about us all wanting paper calendars instead of using the outlook ones and keeps asking why we want paper ones to keep track of inspections 🙄

China had a meeting with N Korea to show ties between the two countries are strong. Message to DT: any moves on NK must first go through China.

Also looks like Meuller dropped a new indictment against Manafort in court last night. FBI found evidence of ongoing ties between Manafort and Russian intelligence during 2016 campaign. Gates also knew of the connection and is named in the indictment. (Although this does not feel like new info)

Walmart will no longer sell Cosmopolitan in the check out aisle. The National Center for Sexual Exploitation had lobbied hard that it is akin to porn. The NCOSE had also previously lobbied to put it behind blinders in Rite Aids and some grocery stores, successfully. Am I missing something here?

I used to read a lot of Cosmo in my 20's and haven't read one in a while, but I don't remember it being like Porn...

I saw this on Facebook and the article linked it to the #metoo movement. I don’t read or pay attention to the magazine so I must be missing something.

There is a huge billboard I drive past frequently that swears Cosmo harms kids and is porn. I roll my eyes every time. ETA: I haven't read Cosmo in probably ten years, but what I remember is a lot of articles on how to be a good girlfriend and bad sex tips, which again, eye rolls.

Gates also knew of the connection and is named in the indictment. (Although this does not feel like new info) A. Look at you with your fancy hyperlinking behind text! B. This paragraph is the most interesting: "What's particularly significant in the Mueller filing, though, are six words: “and had such ties in 2016.” Prosecutors have said previously that a longtime Manafort and Gates associate had ties to Russian intelligence, but they have never said those ties remained during the 2016 campaign. In December, they said this associate was “a longtime Russian colleague . . . who is currently based in Russia and assessed to have ties to a Russian intelligence service.” Why those six words were added in this filing when they didn't appear in the previous filing is the $64,000 question."
