Hi. Still TTC over here. My last cycle was dumb and super long. I had an ultrasound this morning that showed 4 mature follicles so I am doing a trigger shot for the first time tonight and all the sex for the next few days. Everyone in my house has been sick over the last week. I have cleaned up.....too many fluids 🤢. MH has it now so I’m really hoping it doesn’t screw our timing up. Actually, the 2 year old has not gotten sick yet but she is usually the last so we shall see! How are you sammysam?

obscureference That sounds promising!!! Good luck! I've been lurking you a bit on the infertility board to see how you've been doing. I'm good. Had a talk with SO so we have an end date for TFAS and I'm feeling calmer and less pressured about everything. I'm somewhere between 7 and 9 dpo (FF keeps changing my O date...I think it's probably 7 dpo now but my temps are crazy this cycle so who knows). So just waiting...

sammysam ha! I lurk on the TFAS thread so I kind of know what’s going on with you! FX so hard for you! Are you going to test?

I’m glad your ultrasound went well obscureference! 4 mature follies is awesome! We had three in the cycle that resulted in DS2. I hope the trigger shot goes well. I’ll be keeping all the things crossed for you. Thanks for posting sammysam. I hope the rest of the TWW is quick and painless. Thinking all the good thoughts for you!

I also lurk like crazy on TTGP and the IF boards. I’m rooting so hard for all of you and sending hugs to anyone who needs it.
Things are fine here. DS1 is really fun right now - I love 4. DS2, my sweet little rainbow baby, turned 1 last week. Time is just flying. 😭 Most days I’m ok with not TTC-ing again but there are also times when I can’t believe that period of my life is over. It’s a bittersweet thing for sure.

I'm...I don't know. I am so used to not being pregnant each month and I don't feel like I'm super sad each month like I used to be. I don't know that I even cried about cd1 his cycle. I'm really trying to focus on my daughter and enjoy her as much as possible. I will keep trying until I'm too old to ovulate, I won't put an end date on it. I'm going to be 37 in May, which I don't feel great about. But my sil had 2 healthy children way after 37 and so did my mom, so I don't consider my age to be a huge factor yet.
My most stressful part of the cycle is the fw. It's the only part I can control, but not really because my husband is fussy about timed sex and doesn't always give it up. Some months we only get 1 day in the fw. Granted it's always -2 through O, but I feel annoyed because if we had more days in the fw, perhaps we'd have better luck ttc.
I don't know. I'm just going to keep at this thing indefinitely

obscureference I'm going to wait until Friday if AF doesn't show. Actually, scratch that, I'm going to try to wait until Friday. I'll probably test on like Wednesday or Thursday though. Not because I think it'll be positive but I like hpts and I feel like all the work I put in every cycle owes me the fun of POAS.

caer DD is 4 now too and I am also loving this age. When we got home on the weekend she went and unpacked all the groceries and put them all away. Of course she also has the sass of a 17 year old. But 4 is my favourite so far.

Yogurt most of the women in my family had children after 40 so age isn't a huge concern for me either. Our end date right now is July but I might reassess when we get there depending on how I'm feeling.

Hi everyone. I'm feeling completely rotten at the moment thanks to a crazily heavy AF so I'll try to post again in a few days when I feel less like death.
I'm feeling my age, but that's partly because I haven't felt really well since before we conceived L in 2014 and it's starting to get tiring. And I've been finding white hairs recently. My mum started the menopause at 45 so I've got a good four years, although if it takes that long I don't know whether we'll still be trying.
L is testing a lot of boundaries at the moment so I can't honestly say that she's a lot of fun. She can be, of course, and also, in the last week we've had more public tantrums than previously, and worse ones too. We'll get through it!

purple I'm starting to see the white hairs appearing too. I don't mind them though. I like white hair. I've always wanted one white streak like some people get.

Ummm. I started getting greys when I was 22 and had enough to start wanting to dye them at 30. You all are lucky!

obscureference I used to be really blond when I was younger so they might have been there earlier and I just never noticed them. Now that I have darker hair it's just more noticeable to me. I had a hair dresser who made me to promise that I would start to dye my hair when they became too prominent.

(((Hugs))) Yogurt. FWIW, I had DS2 at 37. One of my good friends had her first at 40 and is TFAS at 41. I feel like things have changed and it’s more common to have kids later these days - even my doctors told me they really don’t consider you AMA until you’re 40ish. You definitely have lots of time. That said, I’m sorry that this path has been such a rough one. I was in your shoes a few years ago and it fucking sucks. I’m sending good thoughts and luck your way.

Add me to the grey hair list purple! They started coming in like crazy after I had kids. Getting old is neat. Sending lots of hugs. I hope you’re feeling a little better today.
