So I got a call this afternoon from the mail order pharmacy about a med that me OB is prescribing me to prevent preterm labor. They got the order on Friday. I haven't seen her in since last months visit and she never said anything about it. I was induced last time because my BP was creeping up so I chose an induction. I have an appointment in Wednesday so I plan on asking the midwife. I hate taking meds if I don't need them. I would question that too, definitely better to wait and find out why it was prescribed. Sounds more like someone screwed up if you have no history of preterm labor.

It's tough because as of right now I'm having one shower, but there's a high chance my mom's Sunday School class will throw one also. They did when I got married. I've got a total of 60 things between Target & BBB, with several of those being multiple quantities. I think that's plenty of options for two showers? A fairly wide price range too. But $50 is a freaking great deal! I bought the mamaroo we used with DD before my shower because I found it for about $60 off retail. I needed plenty of expensive stuff for the people who wanted to buy it and I didn’t want to end up paying full price myself if no one else bought it. That said, I got 2 rock n plays that I did not register for, so I feel like there’s a good chance someone else will buy that for you. Just make sure you’re registered for one that rocks itself—I’m told that’s a difference maker. That's the auto rock feature right? I believe I am. It's the one you linked, but I have it on my Target registry.

I looked at my cousin's Target registry and she had 140 items on it lol. But she had like packs of diapers and stuff that made up probably over 40 of the items. She's also BFing so that's stuff I don't need. I also didn't think about socks and such. I assumed people will just buy clothes because they think they're cute, but I didn't consider socks.

goldenbird I had cute little socks for DD that she never wore since she was in sleepers etc so much in the beginning. I wouldn't worry about it

Thanks fb memories, for showing me a picture from Easter 2 years ago. I was roughly 20 weeks and had an itty bitty bump. I'm 17 weeks now and am easily 2-3x bigger than that. #STM

The auto-rock rock n play is one of the few items I am going to buy for this baby. We used the non-rocking version with my first two kids but auto-rock seems like an irresistible upgrade. We were also big swing users with the first two kids so I have to see if the swing is still operational or I will order another one. I can't believe I am in the third trimester next week! I both can't wait to not be pregnant anymore and am not ready for the newborn exhaustion.

Wow! @catpajamas2 I can’t believe you are so close to third trimester. Lol, my mind is blown. I’m not that far behind either, big mind blown. goldenbird I don’t know if this is everyone’s experience but I swear people gave me a million blankets, so don’t put those on your registry haha.

PennyCandy, I agree with pickles. Try a chiropractor if the PT doesn't help. Doctors don't typically recommended chiropractors but mine has been a lifesaver. A support belt helped me also.

I didn't put a single blanket on my registry and ended up with four from my shower alone and received a few more after the baby was born. I knew people would buy me blankets and wasn't picky about color/style so I just left them off the registry. I didn't put clothes on my registry either because I didn't want to encourage people to buy clothes, and if they did, I wanted them to buy what they wanted to. Clothes can always be returned or regifted. I didn't put toys on my registry either. And I got many rattles and other baby toys. Some people used them as bows on the packages. Again, I wasn't picky so I just let people buy me what they wanted to.
Maybe some didn't like my approach because they also didn't have a guide for what other people had bought me but oh well. I put on my registry what I felt I absolutely needed and I thought I got a nice mix of stuff from on and off the registry.

Agreed! There were no toys/clothes/blankets on my registry and I was overrun with all of it. I’m forever thankful....I just had no use for over 20 blankets.

The only blanket like items I have on there are a halo sleep sack and one of the swaddlers. No clothes or toys. Lol I've already been gifted a blanket. So I'll probably get a million.

Does the auto rock rock n play do well on carpet? I bought one from a used baby store, but I wondered if it's going to do its thing on carpet or not.

I need to find a baby monitor with 2 cameras. Preferably with split screen viewing. I've looked them up a few times but haven't bought one yet.
That and the double stroller are the only big things I plan on buying.

We bought the double camera monitor when DD was a baby because it was on sale and cheaper the the single. When she was little I had a camera zip tied to each end of the crib because that gave me the best views.

This is a very good choice. The halo sleeps sack swaddle was probably in my top 5 baby items when DD was tiny. And it was an impulse purchase in the hospital gift shop by one of MHs aunts.

That and the double stroller are the only big things I plan on buying. I purchased the Infant Optics monitor a couple months ago after our Motorola stopped working. It has a split screen option and you can get an additional wide lens that views the entire room. I got that for when DS transitions out of his crib to queen bed. I just put the additional camera on my Amazon registry so that I can get the completion discount.

I didn’t even know I needed them, so I’m very thankful it was the first pink thing his aunt saw when she walked in 😂

Someone had given me two, but I forgot about them with DD. H was using a receiving blanket to swaddle her in. Boy was I glad to find the halo swaddlers in the closet. Haha

If anyone is looking for cute and casual maternity dresses, I got this one off Amazon. It's a regular dress, but the style leaves plenty of room for belly, and pretty decent quality. dressI just ordered the same style in a tank dress, so hopefully it fits the same.

Everyone has already said this but I loved our halo sleep sacks. It's my go to shower gift and I've already bought some summer weight ones for baby girl.
