We are up and about. H sleep fantastic... slept from 8-430 (!!!!!!!) then up again at 645, thank god because my boob was rock hard, and she’s still sleeping again. I heard her a couple times during that first long stretch but she found her thumb and settled herself down. This thumb is going to be a game changer!!
There’s a little Easter egg hunt today in town that I’ll bring the girls to. MH only has 1 Work apt this morning at 9 so he’ll be around later 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Oh and it’s my 30th birthday tomorrow so we’re going on a fancy date tomorrow night!!! Much excite.

Woohoo Saturday! Just got back from a 4.5 mile run and now I’m feeding baby. At 6:30am I cant decide if she’s up for the day or if she’ll go back to sleep. We shall see.
I need to shower and get ready, and bathe the three older girls. We have an Easter egg hunt at DD2 & 3s school at 10. Then it’s birthday party prep until a small gang of 7 and 8 year old girls invades my house for the night.

Morning! We have an Easter egg hunt at 10 am for DD1. Currently, all 4 of us are laying in our bed. Besides the egg hunt, we don’t have any plans. I see a family nap in my future today 👍🏻

I wish I were going to march! DC is the closest one and I'm not up for that. I did the women's march there which was awesome but I don't feel up to going with a newborn...maybe if it were warmer or if she were a bit bigger.
DH left an hour ago for a work emergency. He normally doesn't have to go in on the weekends but the Internet is down, which they need to work and there are people there working today and tomorrow.Hopefully he is back soon!
I think the ILs are stopping by today and maybe I'll take DS to the library. I also need to go to the grocery store and for dinner I'm going to try a new recipe...chicken saffron soup with chick peas and spinach!

Good morning! DH is at work and the weather here is rainy, cold, and crappy. I foresee a lot of screen time in our future. I told the girls we could watch the My Little Pony movie and have a pajama day so they are ecstatic. Happy birthday amesie! Way to get out there for a run ajetter - you inspire me! |

All going to egg hunts: have fun! I love a good egg hunt. We have been "practicing" with some eggs around the house lately! this one we’re going to isn’t going to be anything special.. I think it’s being held in a gymnasium so meh. My church does a helicopter egg drop on Easter Sunday which is awesome. They go ALL out and rent character costumes, have music and games, and then they have a gated off area and have a helicopter come and drop eggs and then the kids go and collect them. Not so much a “hunt” but it’s a huuuuge hit with the kids |

Happy almost birthday amesie! My parents are coming to watch DS tonight so we can have our first date night! They are coming at 4 and said we could stay out as long as we want. We're going to go to our favorite wine bar, then dinner, then out for lots of drinks...I am so excited! I have been pumping all week to build up a good stash so I don't have to worry about feeding tonight. I can't wait to get dressed up and spend time with DH! 💕 |

Happy early birthday amesie! All the local egg hunts were canceled for today bc snow and mud. I'm hoping to take the girls out for Easter pics this weekend in their dresses. Dye eggs. Etc. Next weekend there's one at our church, and MHs best friend will be in town. So just wanna keep it low key this weekend. O slept OK last night - I got a 3 and a 2 and a 1. 🤷♀️ Leap 1 has commenced over here though! She's tracking with her eyes and head. The leaps are always so exciting!! Watching them learn new tricks and all that. Anyone have any good meals for meal planning? I need the quick easy stuff! |

sunfrogger I’m a crock pot addict but chicken & biscuits is yummy and so easy in it. Or tortellini with Alfredo, sausage, sun dried tomatoes, spinach is another 2 pan under 20 min option

pinkcat hv a great time! Are you going to pump while you are out or just skip that? If I’m under 4 hours I just skip. If it’s longer, I pump. I’ve done it out many times if you need a pep talk. amesie yay! Happy almost bday!

DS1 has a cold. I’m trying to make a basement quarantine seem big kid and fun and not confining and neglectful. I’m not sure if it’s working.

rebeccabunch I think we'll be gone for most of the night so I was going to bring a big purse and put my manual pump in there! I will be the lady at the wine bar pumping in the bathroom 😂😂 Hopefully the manual pump works ok for me since I only ever use the Spectra.

J had a rough night - he was up 6 times from 10p to 6:15a
I think it was a combination of the shots he received at his wellness visit and he slept more than normal yesterday during the day.

Ian is fighting a nap so hard right now. He started to fall asleep in my arms about 40 minutes ago. I put him in the rnp and now he is fighting sleep. His eyes look so heavy and he seems soooo tired but he will not let them close. Stubborn boy.

aprilz81 I hope YH finds something quick. It sucks that you are forced to go back to work early. One more reason to be grateful I work from home. DH will be on baby duty, but I can nurse and play with her when I get a break so it won't be too bad. I'm not looking forward to setting an alarm again, I've just been going back to bed after the early morning feedings and that will have to stop. I've done the rough math and between my income and unemployment we will be able to cover all of the necessities, just not a lot of room for extras. So while not fun it could be a lot worse. I'm grateful that a huge chunk of our monthly budget goes to savings goals and sinking funds. Those can be cut out/back pretty easily. Faith slept for almost 5 hours straight again last night, so the last 3 nights have been 4-5 hours at a stretch (midnight-ish to 5-ish) so I'm hopeful that sleeping through the night is just around the corner. I think it might be time to start taking her upstairs around 7-8 for bed and seeing how long she lasts. We've been keeping her downstairs with us and waking her up before we go to bed (usually around midnight) if she doesn't wake up on her own. One last meal and diaper change around then seems to help with the long stretch of sleep overnight. The midnight and 5-ish feeds are getting faster, she usually falls asleep after one boob and if I give her a bottle first she doesn't nurse at all. Last night I tried giving her the bottle first for both of those feeds and she barely nursed. When we woke up around 9:00 both boobs were leaking (first time that has happened with my supply issues) so she had a good breakfast and was super happy after. She smiled and grunted and tried to coo for an hour or so before getting a little cranky. DH has her now while I play on here and get some laundry done. After her nap I'm going to give her a bath and then take her 2 month pictures. |

You will do great. Pumping while out is kinda like working out or homework where you have to do it, don’t want to, will be putting it off but then once you do it is such a relief that it’s over. Morning! I went a full day yesterday without a fever and had one ear unplug so impatiently waiting for the second one to go and it will be a glorious day. We got another storm last night so I’m mostly looking forward to sending the kids outside later and seeing if they can navigate the backyard lol. It tends to catch a lot of drifts.  It may be in May, but someday, somehow, our backyard will see grass again haha. |
