My allergies are killing me. I usually take a Claritin on top of my daily, but I'm out so I've been taking shots of Cadence's Zyrtec.
The weather is crappy. Cloudy, rainy. I'm dying.

chrisy01 When I was 22 weeks or so with B I was hospitalized for 9-10 days total with round ligament pains. I was obviously an extreme case, but I have never had pain like that before or since (including labor). It took a while for it to be diagnosed b/c none of the physicians had ever seen anything like it, so it was basically diagnosis-by-ruling-out-everything-else. So all that is to say, RLP can be really, really bad. The whole episode lasted 2-3 weeks; I did get Rx painkillers once I got out of the hospital (and off the really good stuff) and then was able to take the high-octane ibuprofen to control it. Hopefully if you've been experiencing this for awhile you're in the home stretch of being done with it. joelies I think B was b/n 2-2.5 when we moved him to his new room and the full-sized bed.

I was an idiot on Friday and left my iron pills at work. I'm feeling it today that skipping a whole day does have an effect. Now I'm just waiting the 30 minutes to eat breakfast and hopefully I start feeling better Are they prescription? Can you get over the counter ones or have your doctor call in a new perscription?

A is up to 4lb 6oz! They raised the top of his isolate and he's been drinking all of his bottles! The doctors always say that he doesn't realize he was born at 31 weeks. There is talk about moving us out if the ICU since he's doing so well.

Hi all. Just finishing an early lunch, we have been busy around the house this morning. SIL is coming in for a day or so but isn't due in til 5 so we have plenty of time to get things shaped up. I'm mostly done, though. DH hung a new light in the kitchen (replaced one of the ones we hung during the snow-pocalypse) and I got my new Roman shade put up so along with new canisters I bought yesterday I think our kitchen 'makeover' is mostly complete. Much more livable than it was earlier this winter...I can tolerate this for 2 more years. We've got a contractor coming by this afternoon to provide the PM with a quote for replacing some rotten wood on the exterior, and then I think I might shopping for new running shoes (or sneakers, rather, since they won't actually be used for running ) later today.

I just did my budgeting and part of it is to separate the grocery bill into things like misc, home, kids and this time Easter. I spent $98.55 on Easter chocolate/candy for the house, work and kids baskets. Because of course I needed the giant bags of chocolate eggs and ‘spring’ M&M’s. Unbelievable.

There is an Amish family across the hall from us and all the kids are so quiet and well behaved! They probably watch in horror when my kids come here.

vino we spent $65 on just shit for Evie. $30 of it is the LOL pearl surprise, but still, pretty sure my parents never spent close to that, whatever the equivalent would have been 35 years ago.

I remember being excited to get out of the NICU....but then we were on the Neuro floor, and the nurse to patient ratio was a lot looser and they were short staffed. And basically I was sad we were no longer in the NICU where it was 1 nurse to 2 babies, and they were so amazing...I missed them.

Dh is marinating steaks for dinner. Yum. But my hangover needs a juicy burger ASAP so we’re going to go out and get some for lunch. No such thing as too much red meat, right? Ha.

C is at my parents. Dh and I went to brunch and now I’m getting a pedicure. Totally embarrassing when you roll your pant leg up and can’t remember when you shaved last. Big tip coming for this guy!
Does anyone use a tinted moisturizer? I am incredibly pale but want to rock some dresses and skirts this spring but I need to do something not to blind people. I don’t want to end up orange though.

Oh my goodness, that pancake house was a fresh hell. Busy, crowded, birthday parties (for adults ?!). But the kids had fun and were out of the house, so still a win.

My mom swears by tinted dove body lotion, it smells nice and isn’t too expensive either.

My parents didn't really do baskets, they just got us each a gift from the bunny. My mom is not overly crafty and I think preferred to just gift-wrap something! I love making the baskets and I end up spending a small fortune. But with that said, it's a nice way to give them some spring/summer-y stuff since all their gift-receiving happens in fall/winter. I'd probably do less if they had a birthday in the next couple months.

I forgot to post last night, but we saw Game Night last night and it was hilarious. I feel like there are so few truly good comedies out there but this is one--worth seeing if you get a chance. Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams make a great pair.

My parents kept baskets pretty small too. I spent more this year because I got C and L each a scooter in addition to their basket.

So we were at Aldi this morning and this woman was giving used stuffed animals to kids. She was middle aged and just looked like she wanted to do a kind gesture to make people smile and was on her way. So now E is the new owner of French talking Sky from paw patrol. He is in love with the damn thing and wanted to nap with it. Thankfully it is sleeping in the cat bed next to his bed. Is this weird? Is this nice? How do I get rid of this doll?
