Hi! I’m so tired. I was up so much last night and most of it had nothing to do with the baby. He did start fussing at 3 and I couldn’t sleep through it. Then at 5 I said screw it and decided to feed him. I figured he would settle down and I could sleep some more. It sort of worked. We were both out cold by 5:30 but MH text me less than an hour later. 😑 Today is my long day because MH works late. I decided to keep G home for one more day. She will go back to school tomorrow. I am going to make pancakes in a few. Then it will be a movie and some laundry.

Gm all! So we tried the RnP with the swaddle sack last night. If she's good and passed out Liv sleeps longer in it - I got a 945-2am stretch which was epic. But then we were up until 4 with a ton of spit up. I think she's picking up whatever cold we have

Good morning! This week kind of got away from me. How is it Thursday already?!
We didn’t get snow (I’m in MI) but I hope those that did are doing ok!
I think DD2 has been going through a growth spurt. She demands to eat every two hours. Yesterday, she drank 31 oz! It’s barely 7:30 am and she’s already had 10 oz. The girl loves to eat.
Today, I’m taking her in to work and to see everyone. I’ll also talk to my boss about gradually starting the process of coming back to work. I cannot believe it’s been 6 weeks already! I likely won’t go back full time until late April, but I can work from home a couple of days and go into the office for a day to ease back into things, which is nice.

We’ve got snow! So of course daycare is cancelled. 😕 What to do for a second day stuck at home...
And baby just slept from 9:30 last night to 7:30 this morning. 10 hours. Not complaining, just a little shocked. At 6:30 I woke up and just listened to her breathing for awhile. I guess she just wasn’t hungry! 🤷🏼♀️
Oh and just so no one hates me, I did not get all that uninterrupted sleep. Toddler woke a few times crying, I think she might be getting sick.

MH just told me our daycare /preschool was only running a 2 hour delay. They're fantastic. If we still had her in school, so much yes.

I’m up but hoping to catch a nap. Ds2 slept from9-4 but h didn’t get home from his fire call until 1 and I couldn’t sleep until he got home. Later I’m heading to a large consignment sale with H.

How's everyone doing? Ladies with snow, did you make it through the storm OK? we were projected to get 6-10in yesterday but by last night it still hadn’t even started snowing yet so we were re-forecasted to only get 1-3in 🙌🏻🙌🏻 We prob have a couple inches now so hopefully it stops snowing soon.

The snow totals varied from one side of the island to the other. Some parts got more than a foot. Some areas got only about 7in. I am so over the snow.

Good morning! I stayed up working until midnight and then baby girl woke for a dream feed at 5:30. No complaints there. DH is home today and we had talked about driving to the Omaha Zoo for a day trip but I totally forgot DD1 has preschool 🤦 hoping to spend the afternoon outside at least and maybe go to our smaller local zoo.

I'm sorry to those of you getting more snow. I hate end of season storms. One time we had 8+ inches of snow in a storm the beginning of May so I'm cautious thinking snow is melting for good here.

We have snow so I want to go play with DD in it this morning. Not sure what to do with DS. I wish he would nap for longer than 10 minutes. H is wfh today so he can stay with him, but he can't bounce him endlessly and deal with him not sleeping while he works.

DD had a much better sleep last night. DH put her into bed at 1030, asleep in his arms, and she slept until 320. Then I fed her and she went back to sleep. She was fussy an hour after going back to bed, but settled in for another hour in her crib. At 645 I had to cuddle her to sleep, and she settled into my arms until 845. She then gobbled up 4oz and has been sleeping since 930 (over an hour so far). Fingers crossed this is the beginning of more consistent settled sleeping for her.

Having a typical mom moment.....DS2 has been sleeping like a dream since we started the tea for Gus gas. But now I'm worried it's too long 🤦🏼♀️ He slept 10 hours last night! I was debating waking him up this morning but then I got the death glare from H.
Also do any of you ladies have experience with lice? There was a note at DS1's daycare yesterday that a kid had lice and we need to be checking. I went home and sanitized the Entire house and checked him last night and he was okay but I'm still freaking out. Then this morning my head felt itchy but I don't know if it's just because I'm on high alert. Any good prevention or quick treatment tips??

Seems like there was some good sleep from the babies last night.
This girl slept 10:30-4:30 which was excellent but would t go back to sleep until almost 7. It’s so bizarre.
My massage was wonderful and I requested firm pressure/deep tissue but my body feels wrecked today from it. I’ve had this before but it’s making me extra crabby.
Something weird - DS1 said his throat hurt so I took his temp and it was normal. I took mine to just check the thermometer and I have a fever. 100.7.
My head feels cool. Yes, I’m exhausted and my back hurts but the body hurting isn’t sickness aches. It’s def post massage soreness.
No boob issues, no other symptoms at all. I’m going to try to rest today. I’m wondering if lack of sleep and general wearing down due to child care can cause a stress fever or something. This is just really weird.
Anyone ever have this? I don’t feel sick at all. I never would’ve known if I didn’t test the thermometer.

Yesterday was a much better day for J's daytime sleep. He took a few naps in the RNP and I was able to get a lot done.
Last night he went to bed at 830P. Woke up at 1130P and didn't go back to sleep until 130A but then slept till 6A.

No experience with actual lice but I have been deep in the lice prevention life. We got a note Home from G’s school saying a kid in the afternoon session has lice. They sent the kid home and he/she isn’t allowed back without a drs note saying they have been treated. The schools sanitized the classroom but I am still paranoid. G has very long, thick, curly hair. I only wash it every third day which is good for lice prevention because they have trouble clinging to greasy hair. I also use Fairy Tales lice prevention spray every morning. It has tea tree oil in it which is supposed to be very good for lice repelling.

Good morning all! Almost the weekend thank goodness.
DS has been giving us 3 or 4 hour stretches at night, but he is SO NOSIY while he sleeps that I'm only getting 1 or 2 hours each stretch. Does anyone else have a nosiy baby? He grunts sooo loud almost all night long. It's like sleeping with a pig in the room 😂

I can still hear him but not nearly as bad.

She’s too quiet now and I find myself waking up in a panic I haven’t heard from her in a while!! Haha can’t win

This tea is a serious life saver!!! It's called baby magic tea. It's from secretsoftea.com btu I got mine from Amazon. Helps with Colic, gas, reflux etc. We just add a few spoonfuls to a few of his bottles a day but I believe nursing moms can drink it too and it will still work for the baby. No lie, Maddox went from being the most gassy, upset, terrible sleeper to a super happy, great sleeper in 2 days.

pinkcat, M is the biggest grunter I have ever met. It's sooooo annoying, but I think ours was due to gas/reflux.

amesie He'll be 6 weeks Monday so maybe he'll start to get a little quieter...fingers crossed! maddisonrose Can I ask how you knew there were gas/reflux issues? I wonder about that with DS but I'm not sure what's just "normal" and when there is a sign of reflux issues.

We have a noisy grunter too. I don't know how DH (and sometimes DS when he is in our bed) sleeps through it! I ended up with the baby in DS's bed this morning from about 5-7am. I at least think it is comfy so it wasn't too bad.
I went to do a little shopping at the outlets this morning. I got a cute pair of wedge espadrilles and some dresses that are nursing/pumping friendly. I got one that is not nursing friendly but it is super cute so I am still deciding if I'll keep it or return it. It would probably be ok even after I lose the rest of the weight I want to get rid of so I'm thinking about keeping it!

I got both kids to nap at the same time!!!!....for 20 minutes. 👎🏻 I was hoping it would be long enough for me to nap too. Nope. The baby decided he was hungry. Ugh I will sleep tonight...maybe.

I have a swaddling blanket problem. I have SO MANY and today it occurred to me that Aden and Anais might have come out with new patterns in the past couple years... I went on Amazon just to look and now I’m sitting here brooding about how much I want about nine of them. I’m bored with my old ones 😭 Massive waste of money. Not going to do it! (Probably).
