Age: 3
Milestones: Nothing in particular
Challenges: Potty training. He may go to college pooping in a diaper. I don't have a lot of hope there right now.
Funny/cute stories: He and DS1 were fighting over his kindle. DS1 kept trying to help him and DS2 kept saying no. I said "DS1, listen to DS2's words. He said no, he does not want help." Immediately after, DS2 realized he did need help, and he said "oh, uhhh, no he said yes he does."
How are you? Hormonal and tired.
Anything else? Nope!
QOTW: How is your spring beginning? It's been cold and rainy, but I'm really looking forward to getting outside soon. I met the new horses, and I really liked them both. The one I wasn't sure about is really sweet, and I'm looking forward to getting back soon to ride them!

Age: 3
Milestones:
Challenges: he hit another student in his class today, so I’ve got a game plan but still embarrassed by this having happened. He gets really frustrated really fast so I’m trying to give him tools to cope with those feelings. It’s hard when I’m not around and I’m not sure I have the full story about how the teacher dealt with it. He was never a biter, this all just feels worse because he can be verbally mean too.
Funny/cute stories:
How are you? My fuse is short right now. I’m tired all day long and count down until bedtime. It’s a tough time for all of us right now.
Anything else?
QOTW: How is your spring beginning? Good, ready to get past Easter obligations

hawkward I don't know if this will help or make you cry, but it took me almost a full year to get The Boy to poop in the toilet after he was pee trained. It was awful, but we did finally get there. DS1 took forever too. He even pooped on the toilet to get they toy I was bribing him with and then went back to refusing again (rookie move on my part to take him immediately to the toy store after only one time!). One day he woke up just shy of his fourth birthday and said he wasn't a baby so he didn't need pull-ups anymore, and he never looked back. I was really hoping to avoid that this time though!

mirabelle, that's hard, but it's totally typical behavior for a three year old. I used to see it a lot in my older toddlers. They're learning that they can effect other people with their actions and their words, and they're figuring it all out. I know "don't be embarrassed" is easier said than done, but really, try not to worry too much about it! It's good to have a game plan at home and reinforce good coping strategies, but at this age, the bulk of the burden of managing behavior is on the teachers.

Age: 2 3/4
Milestones: Going up a clothes size... this is a milestone because it's the first time she cares. We're going into 3-4.
Challenges: Not sure whether she's coming down with something. She's hardly had any appetite for a few days and today she wantedto stay in all day. She's screaming blue murder with every nappy change at the moment, and the suggestion of potty or toilet causes hysterics. So that's fun.
Funny/cute stories: She begged me to play the violin the other day (I'm so rusty) and applauded after every tune. And when I sang to her at bedtime she kept shouting about how much she loves me singing. It was very flattering.
How are you? Not great. Coming up to two years since my BFP with Gracie and I feel like crap.
Anything else?
QOTW: How is your spring beginning? I'm enjoying the sunny days, and looking forward to the lighter evenings next week (our clocks change on Sunday).
