For those that have done or are currently doing the Whole30--have you wondered if your child actually needs cow's milk? I have a 3.5 year old who loves whole milk and cheese. We weaned from breastfeeding when she was 1.5 years old. She also likes almond milk, but she doesn't drink it very often. What do others do or what do you think about cow's milk for kids? I plan on talking to my pediatrician about this if I decide to make the switch, but am still just thinking about it for now.

Need? No. Just make sure they are getting the protein, calcium, and fats from other sources.
We always have whole milk in the house. I hate the others.

Definitely not a need.
My 3.5 year-old has a milk allergy and he gets any combination of soy, cashew, pea, or pecan milk.
WCM is a convenient source of particular nutrients but certainly not the only means of providing them.
