Good morning! We don’t have anything on the agenda today. MH took off today so I have Help which is always appreciated. We are supposed to get a bunch of snow tomorrow which is ruining our plans. It’s MHs birthday so he wanted to do something as a family like going to the children’s museum. It will likely be closed so that’s not going to happen.

My office mate is retiring tomorrow so I think I might go to the office. I'll likely cry a little when I tell her goodbye. I'm so emotional at goodbyes it's ridiculous.

Good morning! Joel only woke up once last night. Merlin is working I think.
He's almost too big for his Halo bassinet though, I have to figure out what to do now. I don't think I'm ready for him to go to his own room and I don't want to cosleep. And the weight limit for the PNP bassinet is 15 lbs so that is coming very soon. I don't really want him to be in the bottom of the PNP because that just seems hard to get in and out of, but it may be in our future.

benandjerrys Our pnp has a thing that makes it raised, that isn’t the bassinet. Does yours not? Because that’s what we’ll be using soon.

Those that are dairy free for BFing, does your LO seem sensitive to beef too?I had beef stew Sat night and last night and both nights poor little V had her worst nights ever, due to GI distress I believe. I'm going to try cutting it too I guess. I hate restricting foods from my diet b/c I try to eat such a varied diet but....again, I like to sleep.

H’s 2 month appointment is this morning. I’m interested in finding out how much he weighs now. But not looking forward to his first round of shots. I’m hoping the aftermath of them isn’t too bad...

When DD1 had MSPI I was told to cut all dairy, soy, and beef. Reason being that it's the protein in milk causing an issue, which is the same protein from beef. Or similar, or whatever. That's also why lactose free milk will still cause problems, as lactose is just the sugar being removed.

I think the bassinet option on it is a 20-25lb weight limit. DD1 was a huge baby and she outgrew it developmentally before she did the weight limit

The baby slept from 10-5 last night which felt great except H and I were up having another ctj talk about responsibilities and our house.
Today’s agenda is to keep tagging for consignment, household chores and maybe looking at my recipe binder so I can start updating it. For now though I’m binge watching history shows on the DVR.

I am dairy and soy free, but I had a fair amount of beef this weekend and Sunday was really rough for baby.

We’re having a large play date at our house this morning. So I’m sure I’ll be spending the afternoon putting toys back away. And also going to try and bribe DD2 to go back to the mall and get her other ear pierced. Lol.

We had a busy morning, dropped DS off at preschool, then baby at my in-laws, and went back to DS school for a parent observation. He goes to a Montessori preschool so they invite the parents to come in for an hour to see how the kids do their Montessori work. It was really cute and I’m glad I pushed myself to leave the baby and go to this for DS. Then I picked up the baby and have a few quiet hours at home where I can hopefully get a nap in for myself before picking up DS at 3:00. We’re supposed to get close to a foot of snow again tomorrow and I’m so sick of it. I’m hoping DS still has school Thursday but I’m not holding my breath. I am getting sick of being stuck in the house and it’s starting to get to me. I want to be able to at least get outside in the back yard but there is no warm weather in the extended forecast.

Morning! I’ve been slacking posting. Most annoying chesty cough fevery virus going through our house and yesterday I ended up with a perforated and infected ear drum from all the pressure I guess, and the other ear is completely blocked solid now. It was incredibly painful yesterday, and just incredibly annoying today because most of the pain is subsided but still so much pressure and plugged ears. Blech.
But in happier news, this weekend I got asked to be in a BFFs wedding party! She thinks I might be the only person she asks to so it’s just such an honour! No details on the wedding yet though!
Hope everyone has a good Tuesday!

DD2 can kick her legs up on the side of the halo bassinet. I just bought a Chicco travel bassinet second hand and plan to use that next. I am with you on the PNP. Don't want to bend down that far to put her in and get her out. The Chicco bassinet is only weight rated to 20 lbs which I think is the same as the halo but the sides are higher.

Now that Joel is in the Merlin suit his hands touch the bassinet on both sides, so we need something wider. Is the Chicco any wider?

DD1's preschool teacher just called and said her eye is red and she isn't acting like herself. Luckily I don't have to go get her early (pickup is normally at 1) unless it starts to ooze. I really hope she just scratched it or something.
We are still having issues with our nanny. Last week was supposed to be her first week but her sister was in the hospital so they found us a replacement. I thought we were good to go yesterday but I got a call at 11:30 that she can't do it all week. It was too late to find a replacement yesterday but luckily DD1's old sitter was able to pick the girls up and watch them for the afternoon. We have the same replacement from last week doing the rest of this week. I am trying to be understanding but we also need reliable childcare. The agency is going to check with the original nanny and if she can't commit get us lined up with someone else. So this week I'm leaving work to shuttle the girls from school to home since the fill in doesn't have the extra car seat (original nanny still does) and hasn't been introduced to the girls' teachers.

We haven't put it together yet but here are the dimensions of each:
Halo 35"x19"x12" Chicco 36"x27"x22"
So I guess 8" wider and 10" taller. I'll probably set it up this weekend and can let you know how much bigger it feels then.

We had a great night, she slept from 11:30ish to 4:30. Back in bed a little after 5 and she woke up again at 6:00 still hungry after falling asleep during the 4:30 feeding session. I pulled her into bed and side-lied nursed her an we slept until 9:30!
I swaddled her around 10:30 while she was still awake, put her in the bassinet part of the PnP and other than having to go over to put the paci back in her mouth she put herself to sleep! I hope this isn't a fluke and is a sign of better daytime sleep to come...
