I waited until I had my workout today to post...2 miles with baby in the BOB. Having a smoothie now as a snack-need to figure out lunch. I'm making beef stew in the IP for dinner. Lots of soups this week!

Ive been doing really good food-wise lately. I’ve been researching a lot on the Keto diet, and I plan on following that fairly loosely. Overall I’ve just been trying to cut out processed foods, crappy sugar, and go low carb. I made cauliflower pancakes with my eggs this morning and they were delicious! I also found a few great recipes for spaghetti squash that I plan to do this week. I’m happy MH is on board with this too. Makes it so much easier when I don’t have to cook something entirely separate for myself than for him and DD1. I haven’t weighed myself in a couple weeks, but i feel much less bloated lately.
From me eating healthier, my DD1 has also been eating healthier since she always wants what I’m having. So for snacks, instead of grabbing a bag of cheese-it’s, I’ll grab an apple or a banana, and then she wants that. And she always shares my shakes with me 👍🏻 Makes me feel good about parenting haha! we’ve been bad about sugar intake with her latelty.

amesie, I did tried keto while TTC Maddox! Let me know how you find it. I couldn't make it past the induction phase because I was getting really bad heart palpitations, nausea, and panic attacks. I think 20g or less was just wayyyy too low for me and I only lost 2 pounds the whole 6 weeks I tried. So now I try to keep my carbs to at least 40g a day and most of those carbs come from alcohol on the weekends lol

I've been doing pretty good with my workouts but my weekend eating needs some help. To be fair it was a holiday this saturday and then on sunday we had a baptism and always have family dinners with my parents so it's a bit more challenging.
Workout are still the same with a minimum of 25 minutes of interval cardio and then weightlifting afterwards with my standard core exercises. Hoping to get out to a spin class this week - that's my small goal. I also created a fitness instagram account in hopes to keep me motivated

Moreso just goingn low carb and sugar and using their recipes as inspiration for meal ideas and to clean up my diet a bit haha. I don’t plan on counting my carbs or anything like that. I can’t be that restrictive in my diet or ill never be able to keep it up.

I need to be here. I am cutting out alcohol this week and focusing on water intake. I am trying to move every day - on days when it is crappy outside I do a few kettlebell exercises and on days when it is nice out I go for a long walk.
I am really excited for when I start classes because my school has a beautiful and brand new recreation facility that is free for us to use. My classes get done at 2:30 each day and then I should have time to run and work out before picking up the kids! Any suggestions on where to look for workout routines? I want to focus mainly on weight lifting and strength training.

amesie I’m no expert, but I think the Keto diet only works if you enter ketosis, which requires being fairly strict with the diet portion.

I did awesome 2 weeks ago with diet, but fell off a bit last week with all my girls nights and celebrating my FIL’s birthday this past weekend. I’m back on track for this week. I ate healthy all day today, I’m not drinking wine Mon-Thurs, and I took Barre this morning.
I plan to get a long walk in tomorrow with the boys and do some strength exercises during naps.

I shredded fresh cauliflower, added an egg, garlic powder, onion powder, Lawry’s seasoned salt, pepper, and a handful of shredded cheddar. Heat up a pan with oil, plop some on there and since it’s pretty wet, I shaped it into a pancake with the back of a spoon on the pan, fried it on both sides

I worked out yesterday for the first time since I don't even know when- before pregnancy for sure. I'm thinking of trying PiYo. Is anyone familiar? Yesterday I did a free PiYo workout on YouTube but if I stick with it I will get the Beachbody DVDs I guess.

Today is a yoga day! I really want to start Adriene's Yoga Revolution but that might be too intense...maybe I'll just find one of her shorter workouts. She is my absolute fave Youtube yoga instructor.
My mom is going to bring lunch from Panera. I know it prob still has a lot of sodium but I feel like I can find good healthy choices there.
I have started to hit up the Oreos...I hadn't had any cookies since I went dairy free so I ate prob a dozen of them yesterday=definitely not a healthy eating choice.

That sounds yummy amesie! How did you shred the cauliflower? We eat a ton of rice so I've been thinking of doing some cauliflower rice...anyone else do that? I guess I just use a ricer, I do have one.

I feel so good after yoga. My body is so screwed up, my back and neck especially and after yoga it feels so much better. So I want something that is more athletic but will also leave me with that same feeling at the end. I'm interested in the intense yoga YouTube you mentioned, think that would have a similar result? Maybe I should work that in too.

I’m still not cleared for working out (hoping to be on Monday). I’ve been doing better with my lunch and dinner choices but can’t figure out what to snack on. I’m also struggling with my choices because I still need to do my post partum glucose test and am freaking out that my numbers will be high.

kbw, my 2 main go-to snacks lately have been apple and PB or (low sugar) cereal with almond milk plus some nuts added. I feel like they are decent choices. Also mini carrots and hummus. It just has to be something quick/easy for me plus I need protein in my snacks!

benandjerrys, just look for "yoga with Adriene" on youtube. She has a variety of workouts, I really like her style. The Yoga Revolution ones are a 30 day program.

I’m also struggling with my choices because I still need to do my post partum glucose test and am freaking out that my numbers will be high. snacking is the hardest part for me honestly. Recently my go-to snacks have been: Apple with PB and cinnamon sprinkled on top String cheese Nut thin crackers with a wedge of laughing cow cheese A smoothie Greek yogurt, if I feel fancy or extra hungry I’ll cut up strawberries and throw in some slivered almonds Pretzels For the nut thins and pretzels I buy the individual portioned bags so I know when to stop I would also like to get back into eating veggies for a snack... like celery with PB, red pepper with some ranch dressing, carrots and hummus, or cucumbers with a little salt

benandjerrys, pinterest has good workout routines that will coordinate the different muscle groups. Also instagram is a good one because a lot of them will video them to show you what to do

Did my first leg day yesterday.....
I regret it sooo much. It's so scary trying to not fall down the stairs while carrying a baby. FX they get better if I keep doing them.
Also ate my kids pizza last night so my monday was a fail. I totally blame it on my first post partum period
