It must be an alternate universe because both kids are still sleeping!

benandjerrys I’ve debated the sleep suit as a transition between the swaddle and the zipadee zip. Definitely keep me in the loop on if it continues to work for you!

Yay benandjerrys! We've had some rough nights. O doesn't eat well at night and constantly fusses. She sleeps just fine on my chest but I don't get very good sleep that way. Last night I broke down around 2 and mh relieved me. Dd1 came into our room at 530 this morning though. So we need all the coffee. Were going to see if I can adjust my leave to go back end of May instead of 5/14. Fx we can. Its only one paycheck I'd miss. I'm going to make Irish potatoes with dd1 today. Nom. Candy.

Today is Whole30 day 26 for me. Can’t decide if I’ll reintroduce anything next week, or just keep on keeping on for a while. My energy levels are so great and even, I don’t want to mess with anything!
I have to get DD2 and 3 to preschool, then I think DD4 and I will run some unnecessary errands (like Hobby Lobby and Rallyhouse for some new KU gear). I also need to find an optometrist for DD3. They do those vision screenings with the camera/machine thing at their preschool and she failed it. Bummer but also she’d be adorable in glasses if she needs them. 🤷🏼♀️ There was a pretty large discrepancy in her eyes though so I’m anxious to know if we’ll have to start patching.

I’m taking N swimming again today once I drop H off at MILs. I’m so glad my MIL is competent in taking care of a newborn. I left MH home with both sleeping girls yesterday to go run some errands, H woke up shortly after I left and MH couldnt get her to settle down, and he pissed her off more by trying to give her a binky. I got home and picked up H and she was all smiles at me 🙄 apparently she hates MH. And now MH is saying I’m never going back to work because he can’t handle them 2 together haha.

ajetter, I had the bigger size (6-9 mos) w/ DD. I forgot that I had picked up the smaller size on sale when we were pregnant but luckily I found it before I ordered another swaddle. It worked really well for my DD too so I hope it's not a fluke! Some people on my last bmb loved them and others said it didn't work for their kids.

I'm feeling up to venturing out with two kids today but I don't know where to go. I don't have any pressing errands and I'm still wary of kids places like the museum's because of germs. Hmm.

Hi ladies!
I loved the zippadee zip for DD1.
I kept my big home from the sitter since she had a fever for over 24 hours and did wake up with low grade this morning, too. She would of only been there for 2 1/2 hours today anyway. We had an ok night minus the large poop and hiccups around 4:30am 🙄

If you’re doing an Easter basket for baby what are you putting in there? I laid out everything I’ve gathered. The big three have plenty. Baby has... a cuddle and kind bunny. 🤷🏼♀️ I know she doesn’t need anything or care, but I want a few things in there...

Good morning! I am always here lurking a lot but rarely have the time to sit down and post. DH works late tomorrow so we are making corned beef tonight! I am so excited.
DD3 is such a chill baby and *whispers* a good sleeper but I didn't say that because I don't want to jinx it. I am waiting for the other shoe to drop, DD2 was like this until the 6 week sleep regression and then turned into a terror.

Happy Friday! DD2 slept for 7 hours straight last night. 🙌🏻👏🏻👍🏻 I think she was making up for her shitty sleep during the day yesterday so I’m not going to put too much stock into it unless it happens again tonight. I was a wreck yesterday. My MIL came over to watch the girls until MH got home from work because I had a funeral to go to. The second she walked in the door, I broke down in some major tears. I was seriously at a breaking point because DD2 would not sleep. All she did was cry most of the day.
Today is going to be better. Today is going to be better...

I have done zero shopping for Easter. I’ll go sometime next week to get some things for both kids. For baby, I’ll get her some more pacifiers, a toy and an outfit.

Morning. Six flags was a bit of a bust. It was hella crowded due to spring break and then most of the roller coasters were closed because of winds so the ones that were open had 2+ Hour waits. It was still a good day though. I enjoyed waking around and hanging out with DH. The Merlin was just ok with DS1. It helped a bit from 4/6 months. amesie my DH feels the same about taking care of both kids. I go back Monday and will most likely need to work some next weekend.

Morning, my mom is here this morning. It’s nice to have someone to help out, plus she cleans my house and does the laundry. DS is in rare form this morning, very whiney and doing a lot of talking back. He will be going down for a nap as soon as my mom leaves. The baby had a difficult day yesterday, she was needing to eat all day. She seems okay today, is napping on me now. She was a little congested last night, but seems fine now, so hopefully she’s not coming down with anything.
For her Easter basket, I am getting the Pat the Bunny book, a soft book, a teether purse, pacifiers and an Easter Dress. Keeping it simple and cheap, but I know that DS will question if she doesn’t have one. I bought her a basket, and have everything in my cart on amazon.

Good morning and Happy Friday!!!
We got our first longer stretch of sleep last night... He slept almost 5 hours! I fed him and he did another 3.5 hours so I am feeling great today. It's the most sleep I've had since he was born!

I know everyone will have different comfort levels, but how many drinks do you feel comfortable having before pumping and dumping? DH and I are going to have some drinks tonight and last week when we had some I was too worried about that and didn't enjoy it as much as I should have!

DH and I are going to have some drinks tonight and last week when we had some I was too worried about that and didn't enjoy it as much as I should have! Last weekend when we had our fancy dining out with H’s squadron, I sipped on probably 4 drinks throughout the 5 hours we were gone. Drove home & nursed DS. Rule of thumb I’ve heard is if you can drive you can nurse. The amount of alcohol that goes through BM is so minimal, the real concern is that you are coherent enough to actually take care of your baby (I.e. don’t drop him lol). Don’t get smashed obviously but I wouldn’t pump & dump. If you want to pump instead of nurse, save it & combine it with non-boozy milk later on to “dilute it” so to speak.

Hi! S slept great last night & only woke a few times bc he was stuffy. I tried feeding him during one of them & he nursed for 2 min and fell asleep so I think it was just stuffiness. We ordered a humidifier that comes tomorrow so I think that will help. Anyway we’re at the park this morning, it’s so nice out & I need DD to run off some energy. After they both go down for naps later one of my girlfriends is coming over to hang for a bit. She works from home & can make her own schedule which is awesome. I think I’ll be glad to have her when the guys go on deployment. As far as Easter baskets...I’ve picked up a few cheap things for DD (stickers, some stick-on earrings, Target dollar section type of stuff). I don’t think DS will get one this year. This is DD’s first year getting one & she is almost 3 lol. amesie S hates DH too. And whenever h hands him back to me, S gives him this pitiful look like “see why did you try to torture me by holding me” lol.

Hi! I have had a crazy morning. I had a little bit of a scare that was for nothing. I ran to my drs office and she said it was normal but she was happy I came. She held the baby the entire time I was there and even chatted in her office for like 15 minutes because she didn’t want to give him back. Lol Now we are all on the floor playing. The baby finally pooped so he is acting pretty happy. We will have lunch soon and then I will send G up to bed for nap. MH will be home in less than 3 1/2 hours 😊

H has been sleeping on and off all morning. Hopefully this doesn’t make for a rough night. He tends to not sleep well when he naps a lot.
I’m probably not going to do anything for him for Easter. He won’t know any different and I wouldn’t be surprised if my mom got him something. My husband does have to get me chocolate though lol.

I’m not getting the baby anything for Easter. I got G a few things. I just have to pick up a basket. They have paw patrol ones at 5 below so I want one of them. Maybe I will go and get it tonight. I also bought paw patrol egg decorating kit. It has all the same stuff as the regular coloring kits plus stickers and it was only $3.

marygracerich glad you're OK!! Irish potatoes are made... Mostly. MH went to take DD1 for her nap and so I'm going to put down sleeping DD2 to finish them up. But we had fun. My mom picked us up a pound of fresh scallops so that's what's for dinner. Noms. I'll probably stop at the grocery for some steak for DD1.

If I'm with him I usually stick to about 2 drinks. If I'm out probably 1 drink per hour.

pinkcat I haven’t read through all the responses yet so sorry if this has been said already. But kellymom says no need to pump and dump. Once the effects of the alcohol has worn off on you, then it’s no longer a concern of it being in your milk. And even still, if you’re buzzed and nurse him, the amount of alcohol making it through your milk is so small at that point

We never did Easter baskets in my house when I was a kid and I haven't done them yet. I can probably get away with it this year but next year DS will be old enough to notice if I don't.

Re Easter. I got Liv a basket like Es and I put a teether, jingle socks,a cuddle blanket spring PJs (matching her sister), etc. Nothing too crazy. Stuffed bunnies for both.
DD1 got sandals, a straw cup, play doh, pj's. A bow for Easter.
