Omg my taps updated and I can’t do the endless feed. I can’t find a setting to change it 😭😭
I think I jacked something up with my SI joint so tonight I’m going to do my physical therapy exercises and tomorrow I will find a chiropractor to see before this weekend. I am walking in a 5k and will be incapacitated after if I don’t get this fixed.
Tonight we went on a walk around the block after we got home from conferences, wandered around the yard and then came inside and I sat down. I couldn’t walk right after that my groin hurt so bad. Then H knocked her plate off the dinner table, kind of on accident, and got ketchup on my new rug. I ran out of carpet cleaner and had to run out and get more.
I did a little assessment of the trees I planted in the fall and they all have little buds on them!!! I’m so happy they all survived.

2 years? I just had to clean M’s ears for like 3 weeks. I definitely wouldn’t have pierced her ears if I had to clean them for 2 years. Although she was surprisingly really good about letting me clean them. My ears were very sensitive. I got an infection a few months after getting them so the doctor told me to put alcohol on them for 6 months. Stopped got another infection. It was like that for 2 years. LO has the same skin issues as me so he will most likely get that too. E is not here yet but I assume she might be similar as well. OMG that blows! I bet that was a pain in the ass!

My dad is flying out tomorrow evening but I've arranged for him to wake up with E and take him to the zoo. It will be freezing but there are inside things to do. I'm glad they get another day together and that I get to sleep in.

But my grandma had given me some really awesome earrings that were passed down from her mother so I was determined not to let them close up. Funny story (not really). When we were out visiting Disneyland one of my earrings got caught on some guys sweater when he bumped into me and he Star stud was ripped into the middle of my ear. My mom took me to first aid. They took me to the ER where they ripped it out the rest of the way. I had to wait two years before getting them re-pierced. When we got back to Disneyland the nurses gave me a free ice cream cone.

FERDINAND IS A HORRIBLE MOVIE 😭😭😭 I thought it looked awful from the previews. It such a cute book about a gentle bull who just wants to sniff the flowers. There's an old Disney short about it that's cute. It looked like they were trying way too hard to make it a "funny" movie with lame attempts at humor. I know that's probably what sells but sometimes it'd be nice to see something different in kid movies.

FERDINAND IS A HORRIBLE MOVIE 😭😭😭 We tried to see it over the Xmas holidays. My kids lasted about halfway through before I decided they were to disruptive for a theater. Glad to see I didn’t miss anything.

A was also, in his words "mind blown" that bull fighting is cruel. He thought it was like clowns at American rodeos. Not swords and crap.. I was on the verge of tears the whole time.

I am surprised you saw it since you are vegan. It's about bullfighting..which happens, and it sucks. But the message was that Ferdinand didn't like fighting and stood up for himself and was a decent lesson that fighting isn't good.

I had never read the book and didn't know what it was about. My mom brought the movie home last night for the boys. I always heard Ferdinand was a gentle bull but didn't know the whole story..

I thought it was fine. Not the best movie I’ve ever seen but not horrible. B enjoyed it (we saw it in theaters) but I think a lot of the more graphic stuff went over his head. peachsmama The movie is definitely embellished beyond the book—the story is pretty simple so I can see where they needed to flesh things out to make a full-length film. The book is much more tame, you don’t have the drama with the dads, there’s no gore or references to the bulls getting killed or sent to slaughter, etc.

I thought everyone knew that it's basically public sadism/torture? Adults, anyway. Dude is excited to see "the real Ferdinand" the next time we go to our farm sanctuary. It might be more upsetting for your little guys since they are around cows. More relatable. I don't think A will be that bothered because we talk about why we don't eat animals so even though I don't think he knows what a slaughterhouse house is, the idea that the cows are killed isn't brand new to him.

I don’t know anything about Ferdinand. I actually haven’t heard of the book or anything. It's an old, classic picture book. I think either a Caldecott or Newberry award winner. It was a simple and sweet story. The bright colorful graphics of the movie and trying to make the characters seem cool from the previews was making me eye roll. It should have been done more like Charlotte's Web and less like...idk, something like Madagascar I guess.
