marygracerich I have a sit me up seat in my amazon cart right now but haven't bought it yet. Do it! All of the mommas on my other bmb bought it so I returned my bumbo and bought the sit me up. I got so much use out of it.

ajetter I don’t remember where u mentioned it but I have a question about the Ollie swaddle. Does it keep their arms straight down? How is it different from day a Swaddle Me or any typical sleep sack swaddle? I’ll pay basically anything to try and get more sleep. Im not so worried about the price more curious as is what makes it different/better. This is a picture of Arden in hers... I put her arms down. The fabric has a little stretch so she can wiggle, but still pinned down pretty tight. The fabric truly is moisture wicking so it can help with sweaty babies or leaky diapers, but for us it keeps all the spit up from seeking through to her clothes overnight. The way it is designed is just an elastic on the bottom, so their length won’t outgrow it, nor will they out grow the Velcro spots.

Our appointment went well! DS is 13 lbs 10 oz. Asked her about his cold & she said everything is fine & it should run its course in a few more days. As far as the general congestion she said it’s just winter babies & to relax unless he gets a fever or something. She said even though he isn’t nursing as much that she can tell he’s getting enough & he is very efficient/strong suck. So that was a relief. We all just had dinner & DD is watching Daniel tiger with H. I’m nursing DS.

Talk to me about the sit me up seat.. Faith does like being upright when she is awake, we get limited happy back time and even more limited tummy time. She has pretty good neck control until she gets tired and then her head just falls forward/back depending on how she is being held.
ETA: We also have a hand-me-down bumbo and tray. Do we need both?

With the encouragement of my previous bmb, I returned my bumbo and tray and bought the sit me up. I like it better because it has more back support. It also has hanging toys he can pull on and play with. I don’t really need a tray because I have a high chair for when he is ready for such things. Ian is a little older than your DD so his head control is probably slightly better. I am comfortable with letting him in it now. He will be 11w tomorrow.

aprilz81 I found the sit me up seat way better! You can use it earlier since it has more neck support and wider area for thighs. I also felt the baby was more secure and it can be placed on a table while your making dinner etc. I had received the bumpo as a gift and really only felt comfortable with it on the floor and with very strong neck control. I will probably still use both for different reasons and to switch it up.

Our bumbo is a hand me down, so I can't take it back and I'm trying to limit our baby gear so I'm trying to decide if we need this. Since if folds up I might get one and let her try it out in a few weeks to see if she likes it better.

Ok so I sound like and absolute crazy person for asking this but is it possible for a baby to start teething at 2 1/2 months? Little dude is drooling and chewing on his hand like crazy even after eating. Omg I’m just now catching up but I posted the same question on another thread. My baby is doing the exact same things and our LOs have the same birthday so maybe it is teething? I was thinking it was too early but maybe not?

I’m fairly sure it’s very possible. T&Ps for you!!! Fml. G had her first two teeth at 5 months. I was hoping he would give me a bit of time. Lol Sorry still catching up. We may have the same kids. DD1 got her first tooth at 5 months too.

marygracerich The sit me up seat was one item I heard over and over again as something to buy - which I did. I can't wait to use it. Your LO looks adorable in it!

So the baby drank 5 3oz bottles today at daycare between 8:30, and 5:30. I don't know if I can keep up with pumping. I'm using the spectra and getting 4-5 oz from the right and barely 1 from the left. I used the manual after on the left and got 2 more oz. frustrating

I couldn’t keep up with how much she was taking from bottles. We had to supplement with some formula on days that I worked because she just ate so much milk

flippinchica do you think the daycare knows what they are doing? Our first day care with E didn't really know what they were doing with breastfed babies. When we switched, the new provider magically didn't need as many ounces per day! Plus the first day care was sucky for me bc I ended up getting clogged ducts on the weekend...

We started there when DS1 was about 18 months so he never was on bottles there. The amount is just over 1.5oz per hour so not completely ridiculous but I am definitely not trying to bring more. When DS1 started daycare he only took 3 bottles per day but was also 10 months old and eating solids pretty well at that point.
