ajetter I don’t remember where u mentioned it but I have a question about the Ollie swaddle. Does it keep their arms straight down? How is it different from day a Swaddle Me or any typical sleep sack swaddle?

I’ll pay basically anything to try and get more sleep. Im not so worried about the price more curious as is what makes it different/better.

Ok so I sound like and absolute crazy person for asking this but is it possible for a baby to start teething at 2 1/2 months? Little dude is drooling and chewing on his hand like crazy even after eating.

aprilz81 I also have pcos, and I was told that nsaids like aleve would help reduce bleeding during a period. I didn't find that it helped enough, so I've been given an rx for tranexamic acid but I haven't tried it yet. Apparently it works by promoting clotting, so it isn't suggested to be used with bcp or of you smoke or have other clotting risks.

As for contraceptive, I don't know of anything else for short term. My DH is going to be getting a V, so we're just going to deal with condoms for now.

Life is really good here. Baby slept in the RNP last night from 9:30-2 which is the longest stretch he's given me in quite awhile. He also has been napping in the RNP and Mamaroo some lately instead of only in the Boba wrap or my lap. He's actually in the RNP right now and DS1 is napping so I feel so freeeee haha.

I had my 6 weeks pp visit this morning. Can't believe it's been that long. Our weather here is gorgeous right now (sorry all you Northerners), so we played in the backyard for an hour and will probably go on a walk or to the park after naptime.

My new babysitter is also doing a really great job with both boys and I really like her. It's been so good to be back at barre some mornings!!

The "mini pill" is what women are prescribed while breastfeeding.  It contains progestin only - no estrogen.

The bounce place went pretty well. I wore Liv in my new Lille but I didn't adjust it before I got there. Thankfully a few mom's helped out tightening and keeping O from rolling off the precarious bench so I got a pretty good fit. It's goooorgeous. It's so pretty in person too 😍

Fml. G had her first two teeth at 5 months. I was hoping he would give me a bit of time. Lol

rebeccabunch, dragonflyinn, and yellow711 and anyone else who is interested re: congestion and miserableness.

For now the Dr wants me to call the ENT and see if some of the congestion symptoms he's having are normal for kids with a floppy voice box, for example Joel's throat dips when he breathes and it's scary. So I will follow up with him. She doesn't think the congestion is dairy related - she said she would expect coughing and other symptoms from that. She thinks he could have reflux, but that 6w is the worst time period for crying and fussiness. So she said that if she gives me an RX for it now and it gets better she won't know if he got better because fo the medicine or because of his age. So if he is still miserable in a week (he's 6w right now) to follow up and she can prescribe something.

Well my morning didn't go as planned. I got to the office at 8:45 and did not even look at my email until 10 because my officemate needed to talk. I want to be there for her (she's having a REALLY rough patch personally). My book rep didn't show. Daycare called at 10:15 saying I should take DS2 in because he's miserable (when he seemed ok this morning...). I trust her judgment since I just had the flu. Ped suspected the flu and said if he tested positive she would be hospitalizing him. HOLY SHIT! Not what mom wanted to hear. Test was negative and his blood work looked normal so it's just a cold type virus and to watch him for a fever.

I've never had a dr sit with me and walk my baby around to soothe him since I needed a break. It was so compassionate of her.

I can't get him to settle enough to sleep. Poor kid.

Hugs jessijean!!! That sounds awful.

MH is having a stomach bug so he's laying around useless. I'm about to feed DD2 And then go switch wash & make dinner. DD1 is currently coloring though on her own which I'm so thankful for. I'm facing a headache which is not unusual anymore, stupid f-ing epidural. Dd1 will probably want to cook with me though.

Mine is too.  He makes it strong and black in the French press. I can't drink it. He does make cappuchino sometimes which is yummy

+ whatever to a baby congested since birth. It goes through waves of better and worse and always worse when my kids are sick so I assume she gets some of that too. Poor winter babies. benandjerrys thanks for updating how your appt went! N’s is Thursday so I’ll likely be bringing it up again.

marygracerich DD1’s first tooth cut through on her 4 month birthday so you never know. N is a bit drooly too so I’m just waiting to see if she’ll be an early teether too.
