I started doing c210k med January. My plan is to maybe run a 10k in April (when I finish) and then train for a half marathon. Today was day 19 and I’m up to running 10 min. I’m very excited about this even though I used to be able to run for like 5 hours with almost no breaks. 😂

RunsforWineandCarbs I’m a little invested in you. Lol what were your results for the 21 day fix and did you decide on shift shop or extreme?

jedi, i have this week to decide. As H left town - I have been being run ragged by my little hellions, um, i mean kids. But I lost 13 inches. Not a lot of pounds but I did just start AF and I did not stop drinking wine...

I've got an intense cough that is making me miserable. I called out of work. H is also sick, he has a fever and is achy. I'm going to make him go to urgent care to get tested for the flu. I emailed my OB to see at what point they want me seen. Fun times here. I'm waiting on M to wake up to see how he's feeling. He had an elevated fever after Motrin yesterday, if he had a fever he's for sure going to the doctor. So ready for us all to be healthy.

That’s awesome that you’re building up your running again jedi. It’s nice that it’ll be getting warmer as you build up your time— good planning!

I’m sorry you are all sick in the armpants household. I hope it’s not the flu and it passes quickly.

The weekend always goes by too fast. I did a lot but there was so much else I wanted to do and didn’t have time for. And losing that hour didn’t help!

I am having such a hard time deciding if I should put DD in soccer. It would be a decent commitment from me because I'd have to leave work early on Mondays for 8 weeks. I feel bad that DS got to do it and DD would really enjoy it, but I don't know if I should commit myself like that.
I feel like she could wait one more year but I feel guilty about that.
Registration is tonight so I have to decide!

Another week, another nor’easter.
My brother called the suicide hotline last week, so I’ve been a bit out of sorts since.
I’m hoping to get my groove back this week, and I’m also thinking I’m going to take a mental health day.

CestLaVie, A is getting signed up for soccer too. He’s a bit spazzing, like his mother, so this will be interesting

CestLaVie - Would you be able to make up the time for taking off on Monday? I think I've got to get K into something this year. I can't do soccer with her (though I think she will love it) until she is 3. She loves to be outside and run. I'm ready for better weather to get her out more often.

Okay runners, what is your favorite shoe? I'm not really starting to run yet. I want to try and get my cardio in on the elliptical for another month or so to get myself tolerating around 5 MPH consistently for at least 30 minutes before trying to run. I just don't think my current shoes will be good for running. I know I need to go get fitted for a good pair of shoes, but hate the cost of buying and always feel like I need to buy when I get fitted well.

fierymama, I love your shoe question! Do you know if you over or under pronate (sort of like rotate your foot)? What about your arch? High? Low? Average? I'm 100% a fan of Asics and I currently am in their GT-2000s (I think that is what they are called now...). Check out the Running Warehouse website, I think you can buy and return any unworn shoes if you put them on and don't like the fit. Their prices tend to be really good too if you find what you want on sale in your size. I think I have a discount code for an extra % off too, let me check it and see. If I don't follow up with the code, ask me about it!

We're also planning on getting E into soccer but not until the fall. He's been kicking around a ball since he could walk! (following his cousins' lead)

Oh, Peekaru , glad your brother is reaching out. Sorry for the stress and pain it causes him and your family! ETA: that doesn't sound like what I'm trying to say but I'm too tired to figure out what I really want it to be

I have an alarm set for a radio contest happening at 1:30. It's for cash and I am 150% sure I know the answer and it is stumping people. Lol send me some vibes to get through and win that $$!
They play a sound and ask what it is. I am extremely sure it's that pinging sound from skating on really thin ice. People keep guessing light sabers and I'm like PICK ME PICK ME LOL> maybe this whole thing should be in the confession thread.

Also that my FIL likes to pick on me because of how big they are.
