Oddly a friend had just recently texted me that theory. I had shot it down because I assumed that most of their assets are tied up in the business to shield from taxes since there are probably more loopholes a business can use than an individual. I’ve seen some stuff about how they haven’t been seen together lately and how he’s changed since his dad became President and she doesn’t like the attention on them. I think the “he’s changed” thing is 🙄. I mean, maybe he wasn’t tweeting those things before (or if he was it wasn’t reported on) but "He's changed" as in his dumbassery is on full display for the world. May be past the point of "cry quietly into your money." Apparently the end of my post got eaten- I’m sure he was saying that stuff in person and given that she’s freely used the R word I don’t think their viewpoints are all that dissimilar.

Don Jr. is Fredo. Eric is the one who looks too much like his father.

I feel like it’s uncontested because it’s easier to give her a huge lump sum and ginormous child support and she goes about her life than fighting it put in court where she could be deposed

Sometimes I feel like NYT trolls Sarah with their timing so she has to scramble to have answers. I'm here for it. I really want to believe that’s true.

I know this isn't the first article about the pandemonium that is everyday life in the WH, but the insanity of it just continues to astound me for some reason. I mean, our entire country is being run by ass clowns who are blowing money and pissing off the world left, right, and center. Shulkin thinks he needs an armed guard at his door?? I mean, what.the.fuck.

I'm really irritated that nobody seems to be speaking up about how absolutely unqualified Ivanka is to be involved in ANY foreign policy discussions/negations. And Jared K brokering peace in the middle east? When he can't even get appropriate security clearances? COME ON. The nepotism is out of control. It's something that I'd expect to see in a place like Saudi Arabia or Russia...but from the USA? Really? I thought our country was above this. Could you imagine how much Republicans and Fox News would have lost their shit if Obama had a daughter Ivanka's age during his presidency and had given her the responsibility with brokering peace deals or representing the U.S. Government at international summits? But of course it's okay for Trump to do.

I just never thought we as a democracy would let something like that slide. I know we’ve always had “political families” but presumably all those people (like the Kennedys) were qualified in their own right. They got money, name recognition, and a helping hand for sure, but their resumes were at least in the sphere of qualified.

I know we are divided as a country but it is so hard for me to fathom that corporal punishment is still a thing in schools. I just can't even comprehend how school admimistrators "smacking" a child is helping the child to grow and learn.

I think we discussed this back in 2016 bc we assumed a President HRC might offer Chelsea a job in the administration and we fully expected State TV to lose their minds. But Chelsea is actually qualified. She has a DPhil in international relations from Oxford FFS. And masters degrees in public health and history. Ivanka has a bachelor's degree in economics.

Right, I'd like that to JFK appointing Bobby Kennedy as attorney general. He was qualified.

The thing of it is, Bobby *was* widely called unqualified for the AG position. He was about Ivanka's age. Yet he had already spent years working in the DOJ, as Senate committee counsel, worked on huge investigations of Jimmy Hoffa and the Teamsters. Written a book. How times have changed. -_-

Has that Ivanka story been confirmed? I'm only hesitant because that WSJ journalist is the one who got a different Korea story very wrong and had to retract it. It was something about a NatSec advisor saying that a bloody nose strike would be good for midterms.

This is not the first time I've read this The reason for the delay in McMaster’s firing? Trumpworld wants him to find a soft landing — like a four star promotion — to prove that not everyone who serves in his White House suffers severe reputational damage. t.co/zSSjMfylzQ t.co/NbLj9d8s7a

Yeah, Bobby really never should've been AG under his brother. Those Kennedys also didn't give a crap about nepotism. But at least they were actual stable geniuses?

I think JFK said something like, "I just want to give my brother some legal experience before he goes out to practice law." Which *is* funny ha-ha, as he intended it, but also... WTF.

In the words of another AG, I do not recall. It's probably somewhere on my giant shelf of Kennedy books. 😬
