sammichcat preach! Also, there’s this fun anticipation that comes from waiting for baby (when I can set aside any anxiety involved about her health and general pregnancy fears).

All the things already said. Also other people being excited for baby and getting to talk about who she might be.

This time around all I can think of is no period. I’m really not even enjoying food due to my reflux.

Is it horrible to say when it's over? I like them once they're out, but I really hate being pregnant. I also spend 7+ months vomiting, so I think that plays a part in it.

Cutting all the lines, and getting a seat on the metro.

How have you convinced yourself to have number 3 then? My first pregnancy was great and this one is awful so I’m fairly certain we are done, which we always aimed for 2 but this pretty much solidifies it

We were leaning more towards being done and what was supposed to be my annual appointment in September, I planned on talking to my OB about permanent BC, but that appointment turned into my first prenatal instead. To be completely honest, this one was kind of a drunken accident. We were super careful since March of last year with natural family planning & condoms and then had a slip up after many drinks one night. Meanwhile, it took 18+ months to conceive the big kid & A.

I don't really love being pregnant. Too much nausea, heartburn, and overall discomfort. I agree with no periods and baby kicks though.
I also loved that moment of finally meeting V last time, and I can't wait to experience that again this time.

I am also not a fan of pregnancy. It is a means to an end for me.
I like not having a period, and the baby kicks are fun at first. Oh, and when my H is home I can skip out on bath time with DS and just go to bed early and it's okay, haha.

Also not a fan of being pregnant. I do love no period for long time (it literally came back the week O was weaned and had been almost 2 years) and feeling movement. The prolonged nausea/dry heaving and general feeling like crap is not my favorite. This time I'm much more excited about the prospect of meeting the baby and knowing how much I'll love her. I was terrified with O that I wouldn't love him.
That being said, it took a bit for the feeling of overwhelming love for him to happen and that is totally normal so FTM's don't be alarmed if it takes a bit. New babies are hard.
But if H wanted to do it again, I would do it for him.

This pregnancy isn't even that bad, I'm just exhausted with working FT, being pregnant and having a toddler.

Baby kicks, and I love my baby belly.
This go round I love DS talking to the baby or talking about how things will be when the baby comes.

Baby kicks, pregnancy eating and no period.
Pregnancy isn't too bad for me. I don't get real sick. I've had complications toward the end of both pregnancies but otherwise it's not too bad.

This go round I love DS talking to the baby or talking about how things will be when the baby comes. Yes, this! V and I had a whole conversation yesterday about the baby and how he's coming soon to live with us and how they'll be at daycare together eventually. It's really sweet getting to experience it from his perspective.

With my first I loved him so much right away that I wanted to eviscerate anyone who would even look at him funny. With my second, I loved him right away too - but it was more of a build for a couple days to get to the same intensity I immediately had with #1.

Not having to worry about sucking my belly in. Same here. I have IBS and normally look pregnant the minute I take a bite of food (when not pregnant) and feel like I’m always compensating or hiding my bloated belly after lunch. It’s nice just to be able to be. I don’t mind being pregnant for the most part but it was more enjoyable last time. I was very active, 16 weeks and beyond felt amazing (I felt better than when not pregnant physically), I had a flood of happy hormones and my new normal was happy vs being slightly down. The anxiety and physically not feeling great has put a damper on this pregnancy.
