We had a rough evening. DS2 would not calm down from about 5:30 until almost 9. He had a monstrous poop at 5 so I didn't think it was that but he seemed in pain. At 8:30 he had green diarrhea. From what Dr. Google tells me maybe it was his rotavirus vaccine moving through his system? He slept pretty good after the poop.
While this was going on DS1 was acting out to get attention and one time put himself in time out. I tried not to laugh.
As we went to bed I spiked a low-grade fever which continued through the night. I woke up this morning with tightness in my chest. Awesome.

Yup, voting day today here (primaries) so I'm going once DS2 settles. I'm going to BRU after that to get more crib sheets for ds2 since he needs one for daycare next week. DS1 insisted on assembling his toddler bed after dinner last night so he was up late but slept good after that.

Good morning ladies! We had a rough night. Little man had trouble settling. I think it’s from his vaccines yesterday. I am also in the midst of my first pp period and oh my god I feel awful. I think it’s why I have been so tired the last two days. Yesterday and the day before that I was so tired I felt like I was drugged. Today I am less tired despite my lack of sleep. I did some cleaning and I am getting ready to feed the baby and get him dressed. G gets off the bus in little more than an hour. She has a pretty bad runny nose but has no fever and seems fine otherwise. My niece and nephews have come up from FL. I hope they come to visit me today.

Hi!!!
DD1 and MH left for the bounce plex and I have a silent couple of hours with DD2. She's slowly getting her sisters appetite which I am THRILLED for because my boobs hurt for a million years. I already had oversupply and OALD with her and I've been trying to be cautious of making sure each boob doesn't stay too full too long.
But the nursing cramping is picking up and ow.
I'm snack -y. Hmm. I think I'm going to go make some toast. Coffee seems to be the key to keeping the spinal headache away, and it seems to be on the mend, so I'm really happy.
Also I find it funny that its March and we're getting a blizzard tomorrow. I'm so done. I was hoping that the last week of his leave it would be really nice and we could get out. Maybe EWPZ. Idk. He doesn't return to work until 3/22 so.

Rough night here too. Do any of you put your LOs on their bellies to sleep? I'm thinking of trying it for DD.

I think DS has finally figured out his bowels. No more little poops at night— he basically fills his pants as soon as we are up for the day, around 7-7:30. Thank god lol

2 month shots - did you give your LO Tylenol before or after the shots? With DD1 I just nursed her immediately after and continued to nurse on demand.

2 month shots - did you give your LO Tylenol before or after the shots? we did before just in case she had a reaction. But I’m pretty sure I remember reading to not do that because it can decrease the effectiveness of the vaccine

And lately we’ve had to resort to belly sleeping at night because she keeps choking on her post nasal drip. After that first stretch she ends up in bed with us and she ends up sleeping on her side. My DD1 was also a belly sleeper. Ugh I hate it. I’m not condoning it though because I know it’s not recommended

I don’t remember if we gave DD Tylenol before or after her shots at 2 months - it was over 4 years ago. My memory sucks lately

We had a decent night... After nursing/formula at 9 Faith continued to sleep in the crib until midnight with only one session of crying which DH handled. After midnight I fed her and moved her to the RNP by our bed where she stayed the rest of the night. She woke up an extra time overnight, she was hungry but after nursing didn't want the bottle and then woke up about 2 hours later and I fed her the bottle. I'm starting to wonder if I'm making more milk than I think I am because she has been skipping some bottles or only taking a small amount of formula for the last week.
DH is home today so I'm going to try to find the energy to go run a few errands while he keeps Faith. I need to exchange sizes on her Easter dress and get her Easter basket liner embroidered...

aprilz81 how old is F again? At around 6w pp your breasts soften and it feels like you're making less but they adjust... And continue to do so!

DD2 sleeps much better on my chest or next to me on her side. DD1 loved belly sleeping and once she could roll, that was how she slept. I did not put her on her belly but would let her adjust herself. I plan to do the same with O.
I ordered a bassinet for our room instead of the RnP and I'm actually really excited. I stressed a lot about the RnP and I think it gave DD1 a flat spot anyway. But I'm no good at swaddling, and she appears to like to sleep arms up, so I'll probably just get a much smaller sleepsack.

Also this happened a lot sooner for DS this time than it did with DD! I think I started feeling “soft” around 3w with him and it took until about 6-7 for that with DD!

DD has a fever now. Yaaaaay lol. And H just texted from work he is sick. I mean I’m glad that I somehow have superhuman immunity from all the germs in my house but I’m tired of being the live-in nurse lol. Also H is a grumpy mess when he is sick soooo dreading that. I told him he should come home if he is sick but then regretted that bc I actually don’t want him around if he’s sick haha.

We had a weight check and an appointment with a Lactation consultant this morning. She has gained 5 oz since Friday afternoon! We had stopped the breastmilk in bottles, and I had just been breastfeeding and am so relieved that she gained well. The LC also helped me latch her without a nipple shield, and I’m really hoping to not use it much anymore. For DS I used it the whole 15 months, but he had a lip and tongue tie, which DD does not. She latched well, so hopefully I can do it on my own. They have a breastfeeding support group in Thursday’s, so if I need more help I can go back. I also got DS to preschool today, without help. Now I have the rest of the afternoon to relax with baby until I pick DS up at 3:00.

aprilz81 also just to remind you that pumping is never a good indicator of output and to just watch her hands to relax, not the clock! And remember she's being fed, that's what is the most important.
