How's everyone doing?
I'm itching to get some exercise. I might try some yoga again today (very little, since I'm only 4 weeks pp) and see if my body is OK with it now. When I tried last time, my bleeding picked up so I didn't do it again. My bleeding is pretty much done so I'm hoping it'll be OK this time. I'm starting with just a few minutes, so really nothing major.
I also want to get out for a walk since it isn't going to rain. Maybe I'll do a couple of jogging stretches too.
I need to do some cleaning. This week, I want to try to do a good clean of one of our bathrooms and the kitchen, as well as some of the regular stuff to keep up with our mess.
I'm hating all my clothes. I'm at the point where my maternity pants don't stay up but my regular pants obviously don't fit. I'm tired of leggings though. (Did I post this yesterday? I feel like I did...) I might go to Goodwill to find a pair of jeans that fit for now.

I make myself a batch of steel cut oats each week in the IP. Last week, I did one with pumpkin but it just wasn't that good. This time, I kept it simple and just added apples and cinnamon...much better! I might make these this week too: www.gimmesomeoven.com/no-bake-energy-bites/A friend gave me some last week and they were pretty tasty!

It was beautiful out yesterday (well.... for beginning of March in Wisconsin).
We went on a long walk as a family and stopped at the park. Unfortunately, the walk may have been a little too long and I should not have done all the playing on the play structure because my c section incision site hurts!

easternshoregirl I start mom/baby yoga on Thursday. I haven't been "cleared" yet so I'm a bit nervous too! But I'm so achy from holding/rocking/nursing this baby!

Today is H’s first day back to work after 3 weeks off thanks to NY’s new family leave. I am both sad and looking forward to some time at home with just baby & myself. I can’t wait to binge on some tv

sarahh is it your first day back to work? If so, I hope it goes well. easternshoregirl I also had to hit up Goodwill to get some "fit for now" jeans. I wasn't going to spend $$ for new jeans when I'm not sure what size I'll end up. LO slept through the night!!! He slept from 11-6. I'm so happy about that stretch of sleep!

Thankfully the big has school today! I need to get up and moving. The little also has an appointment right after drop off. I really hope this waking every 2 hours is just a sleep regression and not the new norm. My best friend comes in town next week and I don’t see myself staying up too late if L continues on this trend.

It is DD2's second birthday! Too bad it is cold and rainy.
I have my 6 week appointment today and then am having lunch with a friend. I am itching to exercise, too! I have been going for long walks every day that it has been nice out. I am scared to start really working out because I know I am out of shape AF 🙈🙈
Also I start every day with the intention of eating healthy and not snacking, and then after my kids go to bed I drink all the wine and eat all the Doritos and think "maybe tomorrow". Whoops.

Hi.
DD1 is trying our patience and it's frustrating. MH also just lacks patience in general so we're having a frustrating morning here.
Ped check up went great though. O was discharged at 8-1 and she's already up to 8-4. She was really happy with the healing of the clavicle fracture, too, and told us it was extremely mild.

easternshoregirl I’m at the same point as you with clothes. Hopefully I’m able to drop a bit of weight so I have something to wear when I go back to work in a month. The hydro company is doing work on our street today and our power is supposed to be out for at least 6 hours. So I’m hanging out at my parents. My husband wants me to bring H in to meet his co-workers so we’ll probably head to his office late in the afternoon.

I think my baby smiled at me! Twice! It’s early so I could be wrong but it was so sweet and I got a little emotional which I never did with my boys. Last baby stuff I guess!

Baby smiles are the best rebeccabunch! DS is only 3 weeks old so I know his aren't "real" smiles yet but they still melt my heart every time. Hi everyone- Happy Monday! DS is napping right now and I got almost 6 hours of sleep so it is a nice start to the week! I'm so sad every time DH has to go back to work though. I can't believe Oliver is already 3 weeks old- the time is going so fast!

watermelonseed my H just went back today because of the new leave act. Ds2 didn’t go back to sleep after 4:30 and he hasnt consistently mapped this morning so I’ve gotten about 20 minutes of broken sleep. I need to give up on thinking I’ll ever get a real nap.

J just fell asleep in the swing. This is amazing since he has shunned the swing all other times.

jessijean thanks for thinking of me! I actually went back last Thursday’s and am doing half days through the end of this week. So far so good! I’m sure next week will be an adjustment when I am back to full days.

Anyone have experience with hip dysplasia? On Fri we had C’s 1 mo check-up (he’s up to 9lbs, 4.5oz 🎉), and his left hip now is clicking. We will have to have a hip ultrasound this week to see if it’s dysplasia.
Pedi was also a bit worried that his cone head is still not resolved but we will reevaluate at 2 months. DS1 had a terrible cone head at birth as well, but his was normal by 1 month.

Ours is March 20 and the doc said it isn't a big deal (the u/s). I think there are moms on my Aug '15 bmb that dealt with it. So if your DS ends up having it, I can go over there and find out some info for you!

I can’t wait to binge on some tv This is my first solo day too (DH is taking some intermittent leave). It's not even noon and I'm already four episodes in to last season of Teen Mom 2 on my DVR. I'm also looking forward to bonding with DS and figuring out a routine.

She was breech which is why they checked her and an ultrasound confirmed it. We actually had an ultrasound done on DD2 because it can also be genetic but she was fine. Let me know if you have any questions about testing or anything!

O is eating so well for me I could sing 🤗🤗🤗
She napped better in the bassinet on the PNP than she slept last night in the RNP. So I think we might get a bassinet to give it a shot and see if that is better for the next couple of months before we move her to her crib.

We are having quite the difficult time with DD1. She was awful at her gym class today - screaming at the other kids who climbed on the thing she was playing on - and then threw a full tantrum because the teacher didn’t blow big bubbles. 🙄🙄🙄 It’s no good when we stay home, and no good when we’re in public.
So since it’s a shitshow no matter what we do, I figured why not just go straight to Trader Joe’s right after gym class. First food shopping trip with both kids, and it went smoothly! And they both fell asleep in the car. So i’m just sitting here.
H will be gone Wednesday through Sunday this week. It’s gonna be rough. And he’s traveling part of every week this month. Somebody send a live-in nanny please and thank you. 😢

Hi guys. Today has been one whopper of a day. Enforce it was even 9am I’d bathed DS (poop, pee, spit all at the same time) AND the dog bc I left him outside going potty while I bathed DS & he started digging so was covered in dirt. Then DD had a meltdown bc she has a cold & I told her she couldn’t snuggle DS while she’s sick. Sooo basically chaos & I hadn’t eaten yet so I was losing my temper like crazy. Thankfully DD is quick to forgive. we picked up CFA breakfast & I quarantined DD to her room for the day with tons of toys & a book on tape. I’m currently laying on the couch praying DS takes a good nap right now.

sunfrogger Thanks! I reeeally hope this is a short-lived phase. At the very least spring is coming, and then we can spend more time at the playground. Which might help? 🤷🏼♀️
