sunfrogger Thanks! I reeeally hope this is a short-lived phase. At the very least spring is coming, and then we can spend more time at the playground. Which might help? 🤷🏼♀️ Agree!!!!!! That's exactly what I'm hoping for too There's a jump place in my neighborhood that DH & her are going to go check out tomorrow during "toddler time". While it's cold maybe we'll do that?

I'm in the same place with pants. I've pretty much been wearing soft pants all the time. A hip click is pretty common and definitely worth getting an ultrasound but often the ultrasound is normal. Even if it is abnormal the harness is annoying but not invasive. My toddler loves the jump place.

Anyone have experience with hip dysplasia? On Fri we had C’s 1 mo check-up (he’s up to 9lbs, 4.5oz 🎉), and his left hip now is clicking. We will have to have a hip ultrasound this week to see if it’s dysplasia. Pedi was also a bit worried that his cone head is still not resolved but we will reevaluate at 2 months. DS1 had a terrible cone head at birth as well, but his was normal by 1 month. My DD1 had hip dysplasia and was in a brace (a pavlik harness) starting when she was 5 weeks. She was breech which is why they checked her and an ultrasound confirmed it. We actually had an ultrasound done on DD2 because it can also be genetic but she was fine. Let me know if you have any questions about testing or anything! Thanks!! C was not breech and DS1 didn't have it so who knows. Apparently the clicking could just be normal or it could be dysplasia. Was the brace a huge pain?

helloerrbody no experience but L had an ultrasound and his left hip has a “possibility” of something wrong. Fx it’s nothing, next week is our consultation with the orthopedic doctor. bassa hugs, my h is OOT until Friday! 😭 dragonflyinn sounds like how bath time went in my house last night minus the dog.

I totally got pizza and wings for lunch and dinner! Woot I have 15 mins until I need to get the big! Little had his 4m appointment today. He’s up to 11lb 9.5! Hopefully tonight won’t be a complete shit show bc of his vaccines.

A little hard to find things to wear over it and hard to find a good way to hold her. She didn’t seem to mind it though after the first day or two. The most annoying part was all the questions we got on it from strangers.

I survived my first solo day with the two kids! It really wasn’t that bad, we didn’t go anywhere, just hung out at home. But I did give the toddler a bath, and got a shower for myself. DS didn’t nap though, but he napped the last two days, so he usually always skips at least one. I’m looking forward to tomorrow, my first day by myself with just the baby and DS at preschool.

I have a weird Q.
Where the HB monitor was I have a raised red dry itchy spot on my belly.
Any idea why? The cxn monitor didn't leave one. I vaguely recall that they did not take it off before the surgery post delivery. I also woke up with some weird pads on my shoulders too and idk what they were.

I had this after DS2 or my D&C can’t remember. ETA it was DS2. They left a pad on me and I didn’t realize it until the next day. Red and itchy.

Was it a little foam pad, white and black? Did you have strep B? Maybe it had something to do w my port. I had an epidural and a hb monitor for the baby.

Today I took all her toys into her room so she’d stay in there. Basically I put the fear of God into her that she better not come out unless she has to go potty lol. She stayed in there almost all day! But now she has a fever soooo not sure what’s going on 😭

How do your older kids do with MOTN tears from your LOs? I'm anxious to move back to bed but I don't want to affect DD1s sleeping. We decided tonight to try the bassinet since last night DD2 was up every 90min and she seemed to nap well in the bassinet today. So I'm still on the couch. :/ but I need to get some good sleep in.
Today's journey against the spinal headache seemed to make progress. MH made me a mocha coffee thing and I've been pretty good all day until about now, my headache is back. Overnight I've been using cold packs to ease the pain. Hopefully it'll be gone soon.
Also I finished my 5th MBA class and I'm still running with 4.0. I think I can do this!!

No strep B, nothing like that. I had an epi, the port in one hand for pit/IV, and the two monitors on my belly, one for cxns and one for Os HB. When I came out of the OR I had some extra pad-y things on my shoulders / under my boobs, another port placed in the other hand, and this big red raised thing where the HB monitor was. :/

Happy birthday to your DD peachesncream! We got a huge dump of snow last night. Weather reports said 9 inches but some of the drifts around our house are probably between 2-4 feet tall haha the kids are going to love those. It’s H’s real birthday today! The kids picked out Lego sets for his gifts haha, since we didn’t want to do anything too big right now. DS has preschool this morning, and speech this afternoon so it was one of the days I’m mostly with the girls. Hope everyone had a good one!

On the subject of tears and older kid: G does not hear him if he cries at night. When he was in the bassinet next to my bed I thought for sure his tears would wake her because we share a wall but nope she stays asleep.

We went to church yesterday so I’m positive she caught something in her class. So dumb, I’m so sick of staying home all the time haha. Thankfully her fever is super low & hasn’t gone up since she went to bed. I’m hoping just a cold.

I need to start HIHing on my phone, during the day Faith is on me and makes it hard to type...
Faith is currently sleeping in her crib, flat on her back for the first time! She will be 6 weeks on Wednesday and I'm trying to get her to sleep in more positions to get her ready for day care in 6 weeks. Suggestions are welcome! I'm starting out with trying to get her on a better bedtime routine (aka any routine). Tonight we did a bath around 7, swaddled, read her a few short books and put her to in the crib when she was lightly sleeping. She made it 30 minutes before crying but it was almost time for her next meal so I fed her and put her down awake but content. DH went back in while I was in the shower and settled her down but she has been content/asleep for about an hour now and I'm super proud of her. After her next meal I will probably move her to the RNP next to our bed, I'm not quite ready to have her full time in the nursery yet.
I also need to work on daytime sleep and creating some sort of schedule. During the day it is almost impossible to get her to sleep AND to stay asleep unless she is laying on me or being held by me (or DH if he is home) and she really doesn't have any sort of schedule going on, she sleeps when she wants and I feed her when she is hungry.
