Hugs mattsgirl2004. I hope everything is okay with your H and that it’s not as bad as it seems. I’m sorry things are a little rough with your kids. I wish I could come and give you a break to rest!

auri I *think* if it's only part of your uterus contacting, that's BH. mattsgirl2004 I'm sorry, I hope your H is okay!

cornpop That's what I thought too, but everything I've read also say BH shouldn't hurt. 🤷♀️ It hasn't been happening consistently so at this point it's just more annoying than anything.

This is where I’m at. As long as they don’t regulate, I’m just ignoring them. It’s definitely not comfortable. I hate going from sitting to standing because that guarantees me a series of painful BH. I feel like as asshole on the bus when someone offers their seat or when I pop in to my boss’s office and she insists I “sit and relax” - I would just rather stand.

I just had a mini meltdown bc after being head down all weekend, we’re back to breech. It just feels so so unfair. I know a lot could change between now and Friday’s US (or before the version or C section if those end up being scheduled) but I was so excited AND WAY MORE FREAKING COMFORTABLE when it was head down.
I know in the big scheme of things this is NBD but it feels HUGE to me right now. I’m sorry to complain. Every one that has had a c-section has made me feel way better though - y’all are doing so well and seem to be handling the recoveries like champs.

I don’t know what this kid just did, but she just shifted in a way where I feel very uncomfortable and crampy. I need her to go back to whatever she was doing before.

auri Just an anecdote but I was having A LOT of tightening and pain in just my lower right abdomen on and off around 33 weeks and eventually went to triage because it was so strange. Turns out I was having regular contractions and since I was less than 35/36 weeks and hydration did nothing to stop them, they actually had to give me shots of Terbutaline. So they were legit contractions. But way way different than the ones I’d felt with my first labor.

Leaf 🌱 and mattsgirl2004 I’m a ball of whiny complaints too. I had several legit contractions last night, but no regularity and nothing that lasted. I’m assuming my back pain is just baby dropping and extra weight. I see my OB tomorrow and can’t wait to see what she says. While I’m not ready for this baby to come, I’m way done being pregnant. I am 100% dreading dh going to work tomorrow. He was been so on with the girls all weekend, I am not sure how I’ll do it tomorrow.

filingjointly, Hmm I’ll keep an eye on it the next time it happens. I haven’t really had the tightening today, and I kinda just assumed I pushed my body too hard with the painting. I’ll definitely bring it up at my dr appointment next week if it doesn’t get worse. I’m 35 weeks today, so I’m not sure if they would even try to stop it at this point.

Thanks guys. My H has been at the ER for over an hour and no word from him yet. Before he went, he told me that he couldn't lift anything with that arm and was in a lot of pain. So, we'll see. I'm trying to stay awake after a really long night last night and long day today. I sure had my share of tears, especially after my littles went to bed. I feel bad for being so quick to react when they acted up several times. Today is one of those that I feel like I failed as a mom in every area. Tomorrow is a new day, right?

I'm sorry mattsgirl2004. Yes tomorrow is a new day but I've been there and those days are so rough. I hope it's a simple and quick recovery for your H. Do you have any family nearby that can watch the kids for a few hours just so you can have some time to yourself?

Thanks cp3. I hope whatever is wrong with his shoulder isn't as bad as I'm thinking. My parents live about 2 hours from here, but stay pretty busy. So, the chances of them coming to give me some free time are slim. They'll be here for my csection, but probably not before. I don't really have anyone else close by that can or would be willing to give me a break, unfortunately.

mattsgirl2004 I'm so sorry today was a rough day with the kiddos. Some days are just like that, and it doesn't make you a bad mom at all. Cut yourself a lot of slack - you're in the last weeks of pregnancy, there's the stress of what's happening with your husband at the ER, on top of the general (and not small) stress of parenting, especially solo. Tomorrow is a new day! Hopefully a good night of sleep for everyone will be a chance to reset, and I hope your H gets the best news possible from the doctors about his shoulder. Leaf 🌱 Complain as much as you want to. Silly baby, flipping to breech! I hope they flip back for you since they obviously still have room to do so. These second babies and their antics with movement and position. And just because it may be NBD in the grand scheme of things, it's completely understandable that it would be a huge source of anxiety and frustration right now. Hang in there <3 I'm in the boat with many of you with BHs/contractions. I don't really know how to tell the difference other than basically ignoring them if they aren't regular. Mine are painful like bad period cramps, and I definitely get them going from sitting to standing or vice versa. Drinking lots of water helps some, for what it's worth.

Leaf 🌱 I’m sorry. FX baby turns head down. I flipped head down the night before my mom had me. As a c/s mama, my first two were breech I get it, it sucks and is disappointing. I don’t feel any less of a mama or that I failed my baby because I needed c/s it was still the most amazing experiences of my life that I will always cherish. If you do end up needing a section please feel free to ask me anything or reach out over concerns, I’ve made it to scheduled date and not. ((Hugs))

I swore overnight I was having painful, legit contractions. Turns out, I just needed to go to the bathroom. UGGGGGGGGH.
But, today would have been my MIL's mother's birthday so I'm actually 100% fine not having a baby today because if I do it'll always be talked about how she shares a birthday with her great grandmother on my MIL's side and...DNW.

Thanks everybody. I think I’m just very very ready for Friday’s US so we can get a plan in place or move on. Pregnancy doesn’t work well with my type-A control freak personality. Who would have thought 🤷🏼♀️ @sweetc219 (and other c-section mamas) is there anything I should add to my list of questions for the OB about a C? So far I’m mostly just focused on getting skin to skin and nursing as quickly as possible. I’m going to ask if we have the equivalent of a “stork nurse” i think woodenshoes had.

Thanks for the encouragement. I got a little bit of extra sleep last night, not as much as I'd like, but better than the night before. Hoping for a better day today.
My H is okay. Nothing is broke or dislocated. The ER doc wants him to follow up with an orthopedic doctor because of the pain and because he doesn't have good range of motion. The doc is thinking ligaments/tendons. I don't have all the info as H was drugged up pretty good when he got home and was falling asleep when he was talking to me.

Leaf 🌱 I can’t think of anything else to question about the c-section. I didn’t have the stork nurse, so it must’ve been sweetc who had that. I wish I would’ve known about it. @mattsgirl I am glad your husband did not break any bones. I hope his pain goes away quickly.

Gallbladder pain anyone? I’m being sent for an ultrasound bc. Apparently the sharp pain I’m having isn’t normal? Honestly if I didn’t have this pain I’d feel pretty good.

Oof. I wouldn’t wish gallbladder pain on my worst enemy. I had attacks with my first & had it removed when I was about 10 weeks postpartum. During the attacks, I thought I was dying. I told H at one point that if that was labor, I didn’t think I could handle it. Turns out labor wasn’t nearly as bad.

I have a very high pain tolerance (3 unmedicated births...) and this is killing me. I’m really kind of pissed actually that this could be making my last pregnancy so miserable. If I could isolate and remove this pain, I’d feel pretty darn good.

dizzycooks, that's what worried me, as well, since I think I have a fairly high pain tolerance. It was debilitating, though. I did find that a communion sip of wine helped so much, though, to help relax & pass the stone. I probably would have ended up in the hospital much sooner postpartum with an attack had I not been at a Catholic funeral during one.

tinyjoys how did you manage the pain while pregnant? I’m waiting for the hospital to call back and schedule an ultrasound. I didn't know they were gallbladder attacks until I went to the ER and had it removed shortly after at 10 weeks postpartum. I thought it was either contractions/back labor (again, first time mom not knowing what to expect) or baby finding a not so comfortable position, so I tried all the things my OB mentioned to help with contractions: hot showers on the back, warm baths, etc. In the end, the only thing that really helped was finding a comfortable "spot" and letting it pass. Also, wine, but that was postpartum that I found that.
