I'm so, so sorry, ArielMermaid. Like PPs have said, please don't feel guilty - you're being an amazing friend for them right now. Sending so much love and light to your friends, their family, and you today.

Does anybody talk to Rama outside of HIH? Just want to make sure she’s ok. whatsit reached out to Led (I think) earlier in the week and she just saw her that day.

We are finally home. I feel like I could pass out I’m so tired.
We went to a restaurant with them after the service and you guys, it was like a bad sitcom. There was a daddy/daughter dance somewhere in that town tonight so the place was packed with dad’s and their little dressed up daughters on dates. It was so... like... HOW CAN THIS BE? That we all just kind of laughed. Of all the days and all the restaurants.

I stepped on a dog toy on my way to the bathroom after laying down in my quiet room for a bit and the super loud, high pitched squeak must have scared the hell out of the baby bc I legit just felt it so the Moro reflex thing LOL. It was like that scene from alien 😳

Also, I’ve been stalking JF18 a lot and am so glad bc I realized that I’ve forgotten 95% of the nursing basics. I’m going to have to warn my nurses to treat me like a FTM... but maybe it’s like riding a bike? Even just holding a NB seems a little scary right now.

(( ArielMermaid)) Leaf 🌱 i was honestly worried about this. when they put dd2 on my chest i even said i couldn’t even remember how to hold a newborn and felt awkward af, but you quickly remember. nursing went a lot smoother this time - even though she needed to learn how to latch, i knew what to look for and that made things easier. it is most definitely different than nursing a 20 month old though

I’m so glad Rama is okay but is there a reason she’s not around? I mean, just wanting a computer break is a total legit reason.

The worst end of pregnancy game: contractions or gas? Andddd DST can suck it. Oh my gosh, YES. I've been playing this game since last evening. It's waking me up to head to the bathroom MOTN and I can't figure out if I ate something that disagreed with me or if it's about to go down. I desperately hope it's the former - I'm only 37+3 and really want to make it ten more days till my mom is here. ovenrack I think Rama is on maternity leave now (?) and I thought I remembered her mentioning at one point that she doesn't check in as much from home. I know we usually didn't see a lot of her on the weekends. Hope you can pop back in to say hello soon, Rama!

How is it that I regularly wake up at 3am feeling fully rested? Then I go back to sleep an hour or so later for a few hours and wake up feeling like I've been hit by a truck?

Up since new 5... but because my body decided that sleeping caused enough pain.
Cruel, I tell ya!

I hate when this happens. I believe it’s because you’ve completed a sleep cycle at 3 am (in your case) but don’t get to finish another before you need to wake up, so you’re groggy AF. 3 hour cycles seem to work for me, so if I can get 6 hours or 8, I feel better off with taking the 6. (I always take the extra hours though lol)

G has decided to wake up 2 hours earlier than usual the last couple nights so H has been getting up with him. DST just makes it worse. I love H for letting me sleep in with A but man...

Add me to the tired club. I don't want to sound like a broken record, so I won't complain too much about how awfully miserable I am. All I have to say is that the countdown continues. 24 days to go.

Tired here too. My allergies flared yesterday and I'm so stuffy and keep having to blow my nose and my throat is a little sore too.
And I keep having sporadic intense cramping and contractions but then they go away. Ugh. It is messing with my head and very annoying.

I was trying to do something normal and make an easy crock pot dinner but my body was not in agreement. I showered and then was chopping veggies and got really lightheaded all of a sudden. I’m back on the couch under a blanket bc I’m freezing. H goes back to work tomorrow. My body better get with it.

Oooo I forgot to mention this yesterday but my target had a ton of nursing camis for half off on the clearance rack! I think i bought 6-7 in various sizes. I usually wear them to bed a lot and under a loose top during the day so it’s nice to have a bunch in different styles/colors.

I learned today that after a baby drops, they can pop back up.
I've spent the last few days focusing on how I'm sitting and using my yoga ball to get the baby to drop. And it definitely worked because I was feeling a ton of pressure.
Now today, no pressure. Ugh. Guess I start all over again.

I’m very ready for this baby to be here so we can start or new normal.

Looks like last night was a false alarm, and just dinner disagreeing with me. It sent me into enough of a panic, though, that I finished packing my hospital bag and made a quick trip to Target this morning for diapers and other misc things I want to make sure I have before baby gets here.
Ten days till my mom gets here and can watch DS1. I just want to make it ten more days.

I've been playing a fun game of what does a contraction/ bh feel like. I've been having lower back pains and the right side of my belly has been going through phases where it gets pretty tight. It's so uncomfortable that it hurts a little. I have no idea what normal contractions feel like...with DD I was induced but I didn't even feel the contractions that they said I was having with the picotin until my dr broke my water. Then I went from feeling nothing to wanting to die from the pain. I'm assuming normal contractions are somewhere in the middle of those two feelings at the beginning.

My DH texted me today to tell me he fell down the hotel stairs right before going to work and thinks he either dislocated or broke his shoulder. 😨 He's a locomotive engineer (operates trains) and takes trains from the home terminal here to another, stays at a hotel to get rested, and then takes a train back to his home terminal. Anyhow, he's on a train on his way back now and is going to to go to the ER once he's done tonight. I hope and pray it's not broken.
My kids have been so difficult the past few days. I think they can tell how tired I am and that I'm in pain, becasue they seem to spend most of their time doing everything they're not supposed to do, including my 18 year old. I feel like all I've done is yelled at them (which has accomplished nothing) and then I feel guilty for yelling. I know I'm a big ray of sunshine right now. 😕 If someone offered to watch my kids or just give me a little break, I'd be all over it though. I feel like I need a few moments to just take some deep breaths and collect myself. #momoftheyear
