A new thread for a new week!
The Trying to Conceive After a Loss thread is posted once a week (generally on Tuesday) for those of us who have unfortunately experienced a loss. No matter what type of loss you've experienced, from miscarriage to stillbirth to the loss of a child, it is heartbreaking. This thread is to help us commiserate, get support, and to try to navigate trying to conceive, after a loss, every week.
Out of respect to all the ladies here, please add a trigger warning if you decide to talk about any living children and please hide your signature if it contains pictures or tickers of babies or children. We also kindly ask for grads to refrain from commenting in this thread.
**If this is your first check-in, and you would like to provide a gtky loss history intro go for it. If not, no worries!**
How are you doing?

How are you doing? Not bad Status (TTA, TTC, Benched): TTC Diagnosis (if applicable): Updates/questions: Nothing right now Debbie downer (a place to vent): Not loss relatad, but I'm kind of kicking myself for drinking last night. I am right around the time when I usually ovulate, and I'm not sure if my temp spike is because I O'ed yesterday, or because I had a bottle of wine. I guess time will tell QOTW: What is your favorite GIF? (Super bonus points for posting it!) Kristin Wiig in Bridemaid.

How are you doing? Not feeling the best. Very tired. Status (TTA, TTC, Benched): Benched Diagnosis (if applicable): PID Updates/questions: none Debbie downer (a place to vent): I'm worrying that some depression is setting in. I'm dealing with loss of energy, lack of excitement/interest, loss of appetite, high irritability. It's been a very hard year for our family, not just the Loss, but health issues, a death, my grandmother's Parkinson's declining, losing a years long friendship, a close family member in trouble. It's really starting to get to me. QOTW: What is your favorite GIF? (Super bonus points for posting it!)

@mthidodeau929 days off is good! Is is reduced stress. What do you like to do in the city? We live in a city now and I had no idea how many summer activities they offer. elsiemae I got drunk right before O one time and was frustrated wit myself. Ultimately though it didn't matter as my temp dropped the next day so I knew I hadn't ovulated yet. It won't take long for you to figure out if your O'd or not. Don't let TTC take away all the fun!

Radley - first off, I'm sorry that you're having such a rough year. It's really shitty how everything seems to hit in one go like that. Second, I'm dying at the typo you made in my name, because in my mind I read it like "'tit dodo", which means "little sleep" (literally nap), which my bff likes to say all the time, and today our other best friend was like "whaaaat? I'm googling that... you want a little bag? Wtf?" My city has an absolutely awesome kilometers long trail that H and I walk on literally every day I'm off in the summer. Downtown Main St is full of patios, and it's super fun to just wander. And my city has a lot of different festivals and concerts. In particular I'm looking forward to ribfest and the multicultural festival, and I might wander around the car show too. For a lot of these things they just block off Main St and set it up on the street, but I'm just a 10 minute walk from where I currently live so I can walk to just about anything and I love it ^^

Speedy darn it. I redid your SN three times and I still messed it up. Little nap sounds great to me. Or better yet, a big nap. Thanks, it definitely feels like everything happens at once. But there is probably a silver lining there and I just need to put my mind to it. Our city offers a multicultural fair too but I ended up out of town that day and missed it. It takes us about 10-15 minutes to walk to the center of town, its great. We've walked to dinner a few times and to the Christmas parade. They are in the middle of renovating the parks in our city and it's turning out so nicely. I haven't found really any great walking trails yet though. One of them is in a shadier part of town that I would be nervous to walk alone in. Another is too far away to enjoy regularly. Living in the country and suburbs were different in that respect. One place was a no through traffic subdivision and out in the country it was nearly a half mile round trip to the mailbox. I'm hoping one of the next agendas for our city is some better trails.

How are you doing? OK, bummed that surgery benched us this month. Status (TTA, TTC, Benched): Benched Diagnosis (if applicable): unexplained IF Updates/questions: Just waiting for this month to be over so we can get back to TTC Debbie downer (a place to vent): Feeling especially down again, almost as down as I was before starting anti-depressants. I feel so hopeless and feel like having a child is never going to be in the cards. With my surgery, our car dying and having to buy a new one, plus all our student loan debt, I don't feel like we'll ever be able to afford IVF. It's just so unfair that it's so expensive. I was up almost all night last night worrying about financial stuff. Everything just kinda sucks right now. QOTW: What is your favorite GIF? (Super bonus points for posting it!)

Radley Big, big hugs. You are dealing with so much right now and it would be overwhelming for anyone. Is there someone you can talk to about feeling like depression is setting in? Like a GP, therapist, or counselor? kariann I'm so sorry you have to be benched because of the surgery. I fully agree it's not fair that IVF isn't covered and so many have to pay out of pocket. I don't really have any advice, but I'm sorry you are feeling down. Are you currently on the anti-depressants? If so, (I don't know much about them) but could it be that you maybe need the dose adjusted?

Radley, it's all good. At least you still had it more or less right. Whenever I go to the hospital, I inevitably end up being called back by "Madame Thibeau?". I'm like "yeah, not even close..." Sucks you missed that festival! I have to work so much, I feel like I miss everything. Ohhh, I hope you get some nice trails. I'm pretty sure that I could, and likely someday will, walk this trail end to end. And then find some of the other long trails and do the same lol

kariann, I'm so sorry that you're feeling so down. I'll keep my FX that things start looking up for you. I'll echo smores a little bit and remind you that you're not a failure if you need outside help to get your head level.

How are you doing? Bla. ***TW OPP issues****Got some bad news from a friend about her pregnancy, a couple of days before I'm due to test. Status (TTA, TTC, Benched): TTC Updates/questions: I'm 7dpo, emotional and scared. Debbie downer (a place to vent): so many emotions about testing soon. Also about a string of awful luck of friends that just puts more "life is so unfair" thoughts in my head. Gah. QOTW: What is your favorite GIF? Side eye Chloe and car seat excited kid. Hold please while I try make them work.

nevertoomanyshoes I'm so sorry. Sometimes it just all piles on at the worst time. If you need anyone to talk to, PM me anytime. DPO were always the time for me when I would feel panicked about not being pregnant and having to try again, or freaking that I may actually be pregnant and have another loss. It's such an awful catch-22.

Especially my maiden name. My married name is so easy, at least compared to what I had before, it used to surprise me that people could mess it up. Now I just ignore them most of the time unless I'm in a bad mood. I miss trails a lot. The country is just so amazing for walks, the city is a let down in that area. But the benefits are great too.

smores I have an appointment with my GP for an annual+testing for my current health problems. I'm thinking I'll bring up my current moods. I always hate doing that but since I started sobbing on the phone with her the other day she'll probably ask me anyway.
